We stopped here while waiting for a Concert at the arena. Service was fantastic. It was super busy. I enjoyed a glass of wine and my guy a beer. Not too pricey and good quality. Met some locals that frequent the bar and love it. Old bar feel. Good prefunk place.

Great place! Nice beer selection and very friendly staff. I love the atmosphere and the ambiance of this place. Didn't try the dumplings just had a couple tasty beers and my girlfriend had a delicious cider. Very cool inside on a hot day. Can't wait to come back.

Pel-Meni vegan potato dumplings. The siracha is way hotter than regular siracha. If your sensitive to spice, order plain.

This place is honestly a pretty plain looking inside. Don't expect it to be some cool vibe place. But it's got everything you need. Great friendly service, board games, shuffleboard, good drink selection, and Pel-Meni dumplings! They have a meat version and a potato version. You can get the potato one vegan! You just tell them you want it vegan and they will leave off the dairy. Fair warning though, the siracha and curry powder are HOT. You will definitely be sweating eating these. They are delicious, just you will be sweating! You can order them plain too so you can enjoy a more relaxing dumpling experience. I'll definitely keep coming back for the dumplings!

Anyone who knows me knows I use Yelp religiously. Some might say obsessively. Some might even say I have a problem. But it's times like last night, when visiting an unfamiliar city, that Yelp really comes in handy. We were attending the Duran Duran concert at XFinity Arena and I did my usual search for "beer" nearby. At the top of the list was a spot only a couple blocks away, called The Independent. When we arrived it was busy with a pre-concert crowd of mostly 40-somethings. We managed to get lucky and snagged a table after only a short wait; by the time we left it was definitely standing room only. There's no table service, you order at the bar. And there's no food served here - but they do have menus in the back and your food will be delivered. The people at the table next to us were eating some insanely good-smelling Thai food. I mean, like, I kept trying to distract them so I could steal a noodle but I think they were on to me. The beer list isn't long, but there's definitely something for everyone. They even have a few sours on the menu, and several ciders. If what's on tap doesn't appeal to you, their nice selection of well-chilled bottles likely will. They also had great 80's music playing, which got everyone in the mood for the concert. My only gripe is the beer menus were hard to find - would be nice to have a chalkboard or a digital menu (though I know those are hard to keep current, especially when it's busy). I do hope to go back another time - and this time I'm getting there early enough to order that Thai food!

Dine in is available. Good amount of beer options and others. Russian dumplings are decent. Only issue is the smell. Smells like cat urine right when you walk in.

Well short and sweet must vist! They have a great selection of craft beers on tap and bottles the bar tender was super friendly! The establishment is clean and the decor is a great feel. Can't go wrong here if you're looking for a great place to meet up and start the night. The music is a great compalation and just loud enough to enjoy yet not to where you gotta tell at the person next to you. They do not have much of a food selection being they are primarily a bar. However, I had the Russian Dumplings (beef) they were delicious! Served with curry powder, Sriracha hot sauce and sour cream topped with cilantro and served with a slice of bread (from the menu) they were delicious! Just enough spicy to give your taste buds a little heat yet full of flavor I am pretty sure it took me a whole 2mins to devour them. Even with a limited food menu, you can bring in your own as well. Make a stop if you can and be sure to have a DD the place will make you want to stay!!

Fantastic little pub in Everett, run by a couple of super nice guys who make it a point to make you feel welcome and at home. They have 16 rotating taps of beers and ciders, along with lots of cans and bottles plus some wines, and the selection ranges from fancy Belgian beers to macrobrews from 'Murica. Yep, they've got it all...except food. But! You can bring your own food! You can order delivery through a nearby Thai place and it's also walking distance to great spots like Brooklyn Bros pizza. If you just can't wait, a big bowl of pretzels with a nice brown mustard is just $2. The interior is beautiful too...check out the cool hardwood floors. And there's no way to overstate how nice the owners are.

I've been excited to experience this place since I saw it in progress in January. It did not let me down. The Independent is super laid back and comfortable. It's a great place to meet your friends and have a couple of well-priced drinks. I'm not a beer drinker, but others tell me the selection is great. For us cider drinkers, there are several good options on tap and in the bottle. My favorite right now is the Finn River Black Currant Cider. So delicious. Of course there is also a nice wine selection so there is something for everyone. Also, their taps rotate, keeping you coming back for more! Jeff and Doug are the owners and operators. They are friendly and personable, and are always trying to make your experience the best it can be. Haven't heard of some of the beers on tap? Ask questions. They are both knowledgable and happy to recommend something if you're not sure what to order. Better yet, Doug's known to say, "you'll love it. And if you don't, I'll drink it and we'll find you something you do like".

I can say we were all pretty disappointed in this place. The staff was the only positive that we took away from this experience. Both servers that we encountered were both kind and attentive. The drinks and food however totally missed the marks. We all started off with drinks 2 margaritas, a gin gimlet and a beer between the four of us. The margaritas were terrible, like I am not sure how they put them as a feature drink. They had zero jalapeños and also offered no spicy margarita whatsoever. My wife's gin gimlet tasted like straight up lime juice. All were complete misses. Next we moved on to the food where each couple ordered a dozen wings. The X's and O's( fries and onion rings) and we also ordered a wedge salad. The wedge salad came out and idk how it was marketed as wedge when it was a bowl of salad completely engulfed in dressing(closer to soup than salad). Next the fries and onion rings came out and I'm not usually a stickler for what things cost, but $17 for like 6 onion rings and a very sad plate of fries. We expected a bit more for what we ordered for the table. Lastly the wings. While the flavoring of the wings were good, they came out not too warm to the touch and biting into them they were cold on the inside. Concerned that we may get sick from uncooked meat they assured us that they were precooked and just dropped into the fryer to finish them off. To me it is concerning that though they were precooked and still missed on hearing them all way, you may need to have a chat with your kitchen. Both of the servers were on top of it and ran both dozens back to have our order recooked. Second time around they were hot and crispy with good flavor(although the garlic boom boom wings were missing one of the sauces the second time around). It didn't matter, we ate them and paid. Not sure we will put this on our revisit list. Maybe the burgers or flatbread were the way to go, but out of 3 menu items and even the drinks.... There needs to be much more effort to everything here...

They have achieved the trifecta in the restaurant review tonight. Awesome service. I called in my usual order, the pork and pine and headed there.
