Grand Opening, fabulous place. I see bigger a better happenings here. Awesome service, beautiful people, and better than what was here in the past. We will be back!

I love the ambiance and the vibes! After a few visits and a few sours, I decided to become a mug club member. The service is always on point. When I was a kid there was a show called Cheers and the theme song was "sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name and they are always glad you came" That is the vibe of Obsidian. Not literally in the sense that everyone knows my name, but you can feel comfortable and chill while having great beer without pretension. The art and hiphop music is wonderful in the space and gives it a really unique feel from other beer halls in the region. The owner is incredibly friendly moving like a bee from table to table ensuring folks have what they need and answer questions about things like the newest sour beers and juicy IPA's. If you've walked by and felt curious, let this review serve as your invite to try it out and decide for yourself.

Classy, friendly and vital. This is a beautiful new space that boasts very good beer and very good vibes. We received a warm welcome upon entry and were treated to some fantastic NA beers. They have a huge, eclectic tap list, as well as a wine list. You will find beers you don't often see around here. There is great art on the walls and the aesthetic is on point. We can't wait to make this awesome spot one of our new hangouts. Everett needs this!

Non-alcoholic beer as well as canned wine can be purchased. Now equipped with a kitchen, pizza's (10") can be ordered to enjoy with your beverage. To streamline the cooking process, substitutions are not allowed. On Friday's, Taco-S-Abroson food truck is available from 4pm-8pm. The food truck does not accept credit cards; cash only. During this visit I has a can of House Wine Red Blend for $10 to sip on. For dinner I chose the Works Pizza (#10) for $15.50: red sauce, cheese, pepperoni, sausage, ham, red onion, olives and mushrooms. Quite the tasty pizza. ---------------- This is a cool little brewery right in my backyard. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. This brewery is essentially a refurbished hangar so dress accordingly. It's a good idea to bring a sweatshirt or jacket to ward off the chill. There are a few TVs mounted throughout the hanger. Board-games are also available to play while sipping brews. Beer listings are displayed on a nice digital screen. A couple beers have a high ABV which limits those beers to two pours. There isn't really a kitchen; however, simple foods such as sandwiches and chips are available. Waiter service is non-existent. Orders are placed at the counter as well as picked up at the counter (beer & food). My wife ordered Audrey for $5 a pint. I ordered the Back Stabbing Bitch (2 pour limit) for $5 a pint. We both enjoyed our choices. For lunch my wife ordered the Traditionalist Polish Dog with original Tim's potato chips for $6. Can't go wrong with a hot dog. I ordered half a Big JW with a bag of jalapeno Tim's chips for $6. My sandwich was generously topped with meat and cheese and grilled to a nice golden brown. Tasty. We look forward to returning in the near future to slurp on some tasty beer while watching a game.

I can say we were all pretty disappointed in this place. The staff was the only positive that we took away from this experience. Both servers that we encountered were both kind and attentive. The drinks and food however totally missed the marks. We all started off with drinks 2 margaritas, a gin gimlet and a beer between the four of us. The margaritas were terrible, like I am not sure how they put them as a feature drink. They had zero jalapeños and also offered no spicy margarita whatsoever. My wife's gin gimlet tasted like straight up lime juice. All were complete misses. Next we moved on to the food where each couple ordered a dozen wings. The X's and O's( fries and onion rings) and we also ordered a wedge salad. The wedge salad came out and idk how it was marketed as wedge when it was a bowl of salad completely engulfed in dressing(closer to soup than salad). Next the fries and onion rings came out and I'm not usually a stickler for what things cost, but $17 for like 6 onion rings and a very sad plate of fries. We expected a bit more for what we ordered for the table. Lastly the wings. While the flavoring of the wings were good, they came out not too warm to the touch and biting into them they were cold on the inside. Concerned that we may get sick from uncooked meat they assured us that they were precooked and just dropped into the fryer to finish them off. To me it is concerning that though they were precooked and still missed on hearing them all way, you may need to have a chat with your kitchen. Both of the servers were on top of it and ran both dozens back to have our order recooked. Second time around they were hot and crispy with good flavor(although the garlic boom boom wings were missing one of the sauces the second time around). It didn't matter, we ate them and paid. Not sure we will put this on our revisit list. Maybe the burgers or flatbread were the way to go, but out of 3 menu items and even the drinks.... There needs to be much more effort to everything here...

Steve and I both had their Mosaic IPA. This is I believe one that we haven't tried from the first time and it was indeed a good IPA. With it's aromatic feature and it's hoppy flavor along with a fruity and brightly clean finish this IPA came off as a highly enjoyable one. Everett has two Scuttlebutt locations. The review I'm leaving is for their taproom but they also have a restaurant along with their beer at a separate location.

All the dishes were served at the same time and looked delicious and smells good. My lemon baked cod was a little light taste and wild rice was too soggy. The hamburger looked delicious, so I want to try it next time. It's a great place to get together and have a meal with great service and atmosphere.

Well I will say right off the bat if you are trying to get here by GPS it is extremely misleading…read more You can see the business from the main road but you can't turn into the parking lot there. You need to go straight through an intersection just before the brewery, turn on a dirt road and then it will take you to the parking lot. Hopefully directions have been fixed since then by somebody but if not be patient in getting there. My phones were exhausted and running on empty so alas no pictures were taken here unfortunately. We still needed some GPS navigation to get in a homebound direction. There were a lot of good looking beer options here so what we did was get a taster flight which was a wise choice. Some of the beers we had that made up that was a Key Lime Lager which was great. It tasted similar to the dessert and was easily my favorite. Alpenglow was another, also a lager that was pleasant and refreshing. We continued with the unique brews of a Nettle beer, a mango lager and the May Bee Lager. We also got an order of some of their brats from the food truck here. Those weren't too bad, perhaps not the most authentic I have ever came across but enjoyable nonetheless and pairs well with the beers that they have available here. Fun brewery to go to and one that should be stopped at if you are visiting the breweries, cideries, meaderies or wineries on Whidby Island.
