Bibimbap (with the fried egg removed so you can see all the veggies
    Morgan R.

A tiny hole-in-the-wall business, but the owner was friendly, the food arrived promptly, and it was pretty good for fast food. I got the bibimbap ... beef was fine, sauce was ok, lots of veggies, plenty of rice - a big lunch. It's nothing special, but better than lots of the other nearby fast-food.

    Honey Garlic Chicken!

I finally found Gold Chicken after missing it in the strip mall the first time I looked. The food is really good. I'm a bigger fan of the Korean Fried Chicken than the Honey Garlic. Make sure if you want to eat there that they close from 3-4. Friendly cashiers and a clean space. I'll be back for more chicken!

Really juicy fried chicken with great sauces and friendly staff! The little shop is putting out some of the best chicken and the bento gives you tons of variety for the best lunch! The interior can fit a few individuals, but I would not recommend a group to sit. If you work in the area, this should be a usual spot!

My bf and I stopped by here to grab a quick bite. She shared the Korean Fried Chicken Bowl. It was tasty. We really enjoyed it. There were many other items on the menu we wanted to also try. Service was great and very friendly.

Bulgogi Bowl with soup and salad

This place is such a gem!!! The food here is amazing, the portions are great, the staff is incredibly friendly, and there is ample parking. We got the fried garlic chicken which was really great! It comes with cheese on it which I wish I would've known because I'm lactose intolerant, but I'm not even mad because it was delicious. The Korean fried chicken is also great and slightly spicy. The bulgogi is also really great but could use both more sugar and salt. We'd eat all of it again and again, so delicious!! Oh this is mostly a take out spot, there is some seating but not much.

    Chicken tenders

This is my second review. Just updating with some pictures and new dish. The owners, husband and wife Denny and Mrs. Young still helm the kitchen and front. They did some reorganizing and there are some chairs and counter space mixed in plus t.v. Menus. Denny is in the kitchen, constantly putting out great food and creating spectacular dishes. I've been privy to some in the works innovations. His newest dish was his take on a classic delectable: chicken tenders. There is a promotional poster out front stating a classic version and Korean inspired version. When I ordered the chicken tenders I was going to do both but only the classic was available. I did the 10 piece. I also ordered the Korean fried chicken plate as well. The tenders were moist, tender and had a very light crisp batter. I was given two sides of their dipping sauce. Not spicy at all. Very savory and paired well together. The Korean fried dish was heaping with a good amount of fried chicken pieces , slathered in a sweet, tangy somewhat spicy sauce. It was sided with white rice which is always a great accompaniment. The dish was served with a serving of miso soup and a side salad with sesame dressing. This place is a gem in Everett that if you know, you're in good hands. I highly recommend this place.

    Honey Garlic Chicken

It was our first time trying this teriyaki hole in the wall restaurant tonight. We did take out. The honey garlic chicken was unique in taste. We liked the garlic flavor of the sauce. The cheese on top of the chicken was a twist but couldn't really taste its flavor. It made the presentation unique though. The beef teriyaki was very mediocre in taste, although it was very tender. Overall it was a solid 3 stars for us but we look forward to trying their other dishes.

I've never went out of my way to leave a review before but this spot was absolutely amazing and it was so good I felt the need to say something. I got a garlic fried chicken combo and it was love at first sight. Juicy great quality chicken and the portions were hugeee. The owner was also super friendly and kind. Will most definitely be back. Don't even think about it JUST GO!

    Glass
    Raquel A.

Update: I don't know what the owner is talking about, because this is very obviously glass and it made the roof of my mouth bleed. Notice how he doesn't even offer to refund my meal. I still have the glass piece. This used to be my favorite place, but I literally just pulled a sharp piece of glass out of my mouth from a to-go box with Korean fried chicken. I'm really fortunate it got stuck in the roof of my mouth and I didn't swallow it. Be careful. To the restaurant, throw out any food that was around broken glass or open bags of rice.

The food here is so good! Very well balanced. I got the Korean fried chicken bowl. The gyozas were plump and juicy. The rice was super wet. The salad was fresh. The chicken was crispy and tender. With garlic and spice.

We were greeted as we entered and had access to the menus right away, as they are placed at the entrance. We got seated and were able to order quickly. We came at a non-peak time so we were at the front of the queue so to speak. The restaurant is very clean. The bathrooms are also very clean, which I love to see. It shows me the business really cares about how it comes across. Our food was prepared and served very fast. My friend was still in the restroom by the time it had come. As you can see from the image, my Japchaebap was awesome. (Order with tofu if you're vegan) I got mild spice just because I am sensitive to *too much* spice. But as someone who enjoys spice I couldn't really perceive it. So if you have a good spice tolerance I'd suggest you up the spice one more level than you would think. The flavoring was great, but I don't really like the noodle texture. I prefer them with more weight. It was a slight challenge getting them onto the fork, and it being stable enough to put into your mouth. Just something to consider when choosing your dish. I'm still glad I chose to experience the dish. Maybe I'll learn to like this style of noodle. Special note if you're vegan too: the kimchi has shellfish, so skip any menu items with the asterisks that have kimchi in the ingredients. Thankfully my friends caught that because I would've missed it as it's below another note.

Food came out quick, though we went for lunch during a work day so we were the only ones eating there. My friend got the kalbi (I thought it wasted ok) and I got the bulgogi which lacked flavor and there definitely wasn't enough rice to eat with the dish. We also got the egg rolls which were ok. For the price, you'd think they would be bigger or there would be more egg rolls. Overall, food was ok. I may be back to try other menu items.

Don't overlook the zucchini- it cooks into the dish so well. We ordered the kimchi pancake, short rib soup with potatoes and glass noodles, and fried beef brisket (spice level 2/4). The kimchi pancake was overly breaded and tasted like it had been fried in reused oil. The short rib soup was the safest dish of the night, but the beef was still chewy rather than tender, the glass noodles were minimal, and the broth was extremely salty with a noticeable MSG-like taste. The fried beef brisket was heavily sauced, overly salty, and far spicier than a mild level should be. The beef itself tasted far from fresh and was very tough to chew. The appetizers were among the most basic I've seen at any Korean restaurant in the Greater Seattle area. Even then, the kimchi lacked depth and tasted unfresh, with sourness that felt more like age than proper fermentation. What made the experience even stranger was when the server asked how everything was. We tried to respond politely, and the server simply said, "I'm with you." Korean food is not rare in this area, and the prices here are on the higher side. With that context, the quality is difficult to justify. To be fair, the space is decent for group gatherings, large space, and the staff were friendly. But food is the most basic standard for a restaurant, and unfortunately it fell far below expectations. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings.
