Loved it! The best Birria tacos I've had in this area so far. The consommé was perfect. The plate comes with three tacos, rice, and beans and a can of soda for $16.75. We also tried a couple pastor tacos and they were equally delicious. I might skip the rice and beans next time and just get more tacos, haha! We also really enjoyed the Horchata. I'm not totally sure, but I got the feeling that this is a one man show. The man working there was very helpful and kind. He took our order, disappeared to the back, reappeared with our food and then came to check on us. The restaurant was clean and probably his Pride and Joy. I am so glad to have a great Birria spot close to home!

Raul the owner , was so pleasant . He introduce himself and explained the whole menu to me ( Better service then some restaurants) the pricing was reasonable . I got the birria fries and birria taco meal , the meal comes with a soda. The food was sssssooooo delicious I can't believe I've pass this place over and over again and never gave it a second thought . It is so nice to have good , hot , healthy food in our own neighborhood, Thank you Raul!!!!!

    Carne Asada Fries

Came because of a tik tok I seen. Food was way under seasoned. Carne asada fries had barely any meat and was mostly sour cream, cheese and tomato, maybe I'm used to how rallibertos across the street makes them which are fire. The strawberry horchata, hot sauce and carne tacos were good. Sorry but it was not good like I was expecting from the videos I've seen.

I really enjoyed my lunch today at El Nopal! The cashier/cook was super friendly and the place seemed clean and tidy. I had the El Birria taco plate which was rich and delicious, perfect with just a squeeze of lime! Will come by again to try other dishes and I'll report back! Ps: Lots of beer, wine, and real sugar drinks.

Delicious food, quick and friendly service, and you can buy birria by the pound! I could drink the consommé alone and be fully satisfied!

In short Clean, bright, friendly family-style Mexican place…read more Full bar, plenty of TVs. In long I definitely miss the awesome Thai place that used to be here, but Luna offsets that nostalgia. They're doing a great job. There's a cool courtyard, with iron fencing and gating that seems to suit the Mexican decor even better than it did the previous tenant. There's a good-sized winding dining room indoors too. Brightly-colored paint, nice matching tables and chairs, some big screens probably tuned to the game. Service is right on point, cheerful and low-key, ready to make you feel right at home. You get a menu right away, water with chips and salsa in a minute or two. The drink menu isn't the main focus, but you get basic versions of most anything. I had a Luna Margarita with lots of fresh fruit in there--even had to clear the straw at one point. The chips and salsa are generic. Just pico and tomato sauce stirred up. Would be nice to see them make something in house, but not too many places do that (fewer than you might think). The carne seems to be the star of the show, and it was tasty. Ordered medium and came out closer to well, but still fully tender and juicy. Tortillas were fine, the roast corn and scallions were good, and the rice and beans held up their end of the bargain. Little bit of guac and fresca in the middle of the plate. They're working hard for your Mexican food dollar, and if you're anywhere nearby, they're easily worth a stop.

She took us to the back which featured a bar area and twinkling lights on the ceiling! Loved the plants and decors on the wall. Our server was so attentive and kind! Me and my girl friend's husband ordered the Mar Y Tierra, thinly cut steak with garlic shrimp and mushrooms on the slide with rice, refried beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and choice of corn or flour tortillas! The steak was my favorite -- so juicy, tender and flavorful! They have a great variety of drinks! I got the watermelon basil margarita. They also have Jarritos soda which, my girl friend tried the guava and it was good! You have to get here before peak or you may not get a parking spot. They do have parking at the back but I bet if it's a peak night, it'll be crowded. We will definitely be back next time!

I admit I often go back and forth between the two, but what stands out about this one is the friendly service and the salsa bar. Personally I could live on chips and a good salsa bar alone, but the food I get is always pretty good as well. It seems like salsa bars are mostly a thing of the past these days so do check this out while you can. Plenty of parking out front, but they are closed Mondays. We often come for lunch and the service is pretty fast. They understand our need to order, eat, pay and be back at the office before too much time has passed. They are always willing to accommodate special requests and often have food specials and a regular lunch menu. I've brought a handful of people here and everyone has been happy with their meals. I usually opt for a veggie burrito or fajitas. I'm sure I'll be back again sometime soon.

We arrived at opening and during our visit, there was one single person doing everything: seating, cooking, taking orders, cleaning and cashing people out. Be patient. Enjoy your experience and company. While looking over the menu, we snacked on complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were light and crispy. The salsa was a bit runny/thin and mild for my tastes. My daughter ordered a Michelada for $12. I ordered a Bloody Mary for $8. The Bloody Mary was garnished with a single celery stick while lacking the standard garnishments such as olives, pepperoncini's, beans, asparagus etc. I chose the Mexican Scramble for $17. I chose fresh fruit as my side and declined the toast and/or tortilla. My daughter ordered the Chorizo Benedict for $14.50 with a side of fresh fruit. We ended our breakfast with a complimentary Fried Ice Cream thanks to spinning the wheel. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal choices. Staff was friendly and we weren't in a hurry so we didn't mind the slow service. My next order be will to-go to enjoy at home.
