Acme pain de mei french toast

Great food, no plastic foodware, real maple syrup, nice folks! We were trapped in traffic by the Bay to Breakers, turned around and found this little gem.

I was looking for a brunch place I haven't been to before and found this place and went here around 2pm! I thought it was cool how this restaurant sells brunch items and alcoholic drinks and even fancy items like seafood risotto. The staff told me they have a selection on wine and beers drinks available, but the special items they had on the day I went was Champagne and the Seafood Risotto. We got the Seafood Risotto, Sausage Scramble, and a French Toast. I felt that everything tasted good, but my favorite was the Sausage Scramble just because it came with bread so I was able to turn it into a breakfast sandwich. I'd recommend this place! Everything tasted good and the service is very fast. I also like how I was still able to get breakfast items late in the afternoon here, instead of only being allowed to get it during morning hours.

First restaurant outing of 2026 and it was when the rain subsided for a few hours. We sat outside to get some fresh air before being stuck inside again. The service was great, making us not feel rushed but also quickly reacting if we needed something. The food came out quick and was delicious. The egg sandwich was large and could be split between two people if you wanted. The pesto eggs Benedict made my morning, with a great twist on the breakfast classic adding a healthy amount spinach and greens to my meal. The egg scramble was savory and the slight heat from the salsa helped kickstart my metabolism. Will want to come back and try lunch items, the crispy chicken sandwich looked amazing.

Shrimp and salmon salad

A lovely spot for dinner with some nice lighter options, and excellent, warm service. Shrimp and salmon salad - the shrimp was so delicious. Super flavorful and cooked perfectly juicy and crisp - I just wish the tails were removed. This is a huge salad, more than enough as a dinner portion, and the dressing level is perfect for me - not too heavy.

Great spot for brunch! Service is fast and attentive. Ordered the pesto eggs Benedict. I was expecting more pesto flavor but still enjoyed the dish. Fruit bowl was fresh and big enough for 2. I liked their smoothies too. If you want a healthy way to start your day, you'll find good options here.. and you don't have to wait like 2hs to eat like in other locations.

Stopped by on a Thursday afternoon for a work lunch and was given the option to sit inside or outside. We chose the open air patio, which made for a nice setting. The menu has something for everyone, including great vegetarian options--my coworker, who is vegetarian, actually recommended this spot. I ordered the steak skewers with chimichurri sauce (dinner-style with potatoes), and it was delicious. The steak was high-quality, perfectly cooked, and flavorful. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. Service was attentive and timely--our food came out without delay, which made it easy to enjoy during a lunch break. I've been on the lookout for affordable, good-quality restaurants near work, and I'm glad I found this place. Definitely bookmarking it for quick lunches and future visits.

Stopped by Parker Potrero for a quick brunch. Our party of 3 walked in around 10:30am on a Sunday and were immediately seated inside, which was a pleasant surprise given the 1-2 hour wait at Plow just a block down the street. We opted to come to Parker Potrero to try out a new place. They offered seating us inside or outside, and we initially opted for outside thinking we would be seated at the parklet directly outside the front door, but there's also some rickety patio seating right outside the window bar seating that was a little too shaky for our tastes and made us worried that we'd tip our food over so we switched to being seated inside. The service was very attentive and friendly! It's a nice modern clean vibe inside with minimalistic lighting and plenty of seating. - Pesto Eggs Benedict ($14): I got this as is (vegetarian), but you can add protein for additional charge. Having read great things and loving a pesto brekkie plate I had high expectations and this fell just a little short. It's a good plate overall, but I expected a stronger pesto flavor, but while this was a solid creamy hollandaise sauce there was only a mild basil flavor. The side salad was just mixed greens with a light basalmic dressing, and though I loved the hearty amount of spinach and sourdough with the nicely poached eggs, the plate overall just felt like it was lacking something to really make it pop. I also tried my friends' potato hash (the carnitas was also a little lacking in flavor, but the veggies and turkey bacon that come in the hash were great!) and the sausage scramble (I liked this the most, the sausage was flavorful and the potatoes on the side were wonderfully seasoned with garlic and other herbs). Definitely ask for hot sauce or ketchup on the side! Overall, Parker Potrero was a very nice neighborhood breakfast spot that gives a healthful vibe that just lacked a little in the flavor department. While the food wasnt the most exciting the service, ambiance and lack of an 1h + wait on a Sunday for brunch make it a potential option I'll keep in mind for the future.

Dined outside in the parklett with a couple friends for lunch on a weekday. It wasn't busy at all. Service was attentive, good, fast, and pleasant. Food and drinks came out and everything looked delicious! Friends got: - Quinoa Bowl: I tried some and it was great! It was something on the menu I had eyed, but decided to go with something else) - Asian Chopped Salad - Kale Juice - Tea I got: - Chicken & Proscuitto Sandwich: came with a side salad; totally delicious and looked way better than I was expecting! I ate the entire thing and honestly could have ordered another thing to eat or to share. I will gladly keep Parker Potrero in mind for future stops for food if in the area again. Parking was easy to find - meter or free parking on opposing cross street. A few cute shops and other food / beverage businesses nearby - easily walk to and explore some.

We stopped in for breakfast on Saturday morning and there were plenty of seating inside and outside. Because of the nice weather we sat outside with our dog and got waters and coffees. The staff were very nice and attentive. 3/5 Sausage scramble - the eggs were a bit cold when it arrived. The potato's that came with it were very nice. Just a bit disappointed it came cold. 3/5 Pesto eggs Benedict - it was a bit overloaded with pesto. We couldn't even see the eggs. Tasted alright and was very interesting flavors but not the greatest. The HH seems great and there are $7 glasses of champagne which is very nice. It's a cute neighborhood vibe so I'll probably come give it another try.

Potato Hash Breakfast with Carnitas

The line at plow was a little ridiculous but I still wanted an awesome breakfast. Luckily Parker always hits the spot. French toast for the sweet side and hash for the savory. Always enjoy the meal and the service is always good.

We came here on a Sunday for brunch. We were sat at the counter with no wait. The interior was small but cozy and it had a great aesthetic. We were served quickly and service was friendly! The food was just nothing to write home about. What we ordered: - Crispy Chicken Sando (3.5/5) - There were thin slices of chicken that were fried giving to the name "crispy". Toppings were all standard of a sandwich and there wasn't anything amazingly different about this sandwich. - Sausage Scramble (3/5) - I was pretty excited for the sausage scramble but it lacked any and all seasonings. There was not enough salsa verde so I used hot sauce as the main sauce or seasoning. The andoullie sausage was not as flavorful and spicy as I am used to as well. I probably could have made this myself to be honest. Potatoes were great though! Crispy and I liked the chimichurri sauce on top. I probably won't be returning to Parker Potrero as the food was not anything that impressed me. It definitely is a comforting and homey local spot, so if you are in the area I still would recommend trying it out!

Quinoa Bowl

Aesthetic spot but mid food. I came here with coworkers on a Thursday afternoon for a late lunch. It was very cute inside and they had a nice built out parking-patio. I got the quinoa bowl - let's just say it tasted exactly like the ingredients. No extra flavors, no seasoning, no dressing. It was so boring I asked for the avocado cream on the side which did not redeem it. At least it tasted healthy! This bowl was a miss but I do want to come back and try other things because it's in a great area. The service was great - the waitress was super nice!

Parking is a challenge in Noe Valley so it took us a few minutes to find a spot on the street approx a block away. We were warmly greeted on arrival at the restaurant by Mariana - the charming hostess, & led to our table at the far end of the restaurant. The space is not too big so the tables are strategically arranged, making it a little narrow squeeze navigating between tables when people are seated. The decor is lovely & the place has a very pleasant ambiance. Our server Marley - a friendly young man who was very accommodating of all our requests. We were presented with complimentary warm delicious bread rolls & butter. We ordered the momos, which we had read all about on the Yelp reviews, & they certainly didn't disappoint. The sauce that accompanied the momos was so delectable, I had to request for another serving of bread to sop it all up! We also ordered the charred brussel sprouts & toasted grape salad and the gems of California beets salad - both were beautifully presented & combined a delicious blend of flavors. The food was amazing, the service attentive! We didn't want to have too big of a meal since we were heading to a show at the Herbst Theatre after dinner so we didn't order entrees or desserts. We plan to go back again soon. I would recommend trying out this neighborhood gem.

Every single dish landed. The salmon was a refined, clean opener; the risotto was rich without being heavy; the branzino was perfectly seared; and the panna cotta was a quietly elegant finish. A heads up: portions are on the smaller side, but that's by design -- this is a meal meant to be savored, not rushed. Lean into it. Service was attentive and polished from start to finish, exactly what you'd hope for at this level. If a business dinner is what it takes to discover a gem like this, book more business dinners.

The food and drinks were mostly mid for me -- the flavors leaned overly sweet. The clam pasta was the standout because it finally introduced some acidity and balance. Service was attentive throughout, and the staff handled a blackout during dinner impressively well. Ambiance was fine. The pricing initially feels reasonable at $52/person, but note there's also a 20% gratuity plus a 6% living wage surcharge, so the real total ends up closer to $66 before any extra drinks. Overall: probably a 3/5 for the food itself, closer to a 3.5 when factoring in service and value.

It seems like this place is an asian fusion brunch place incorporating french dishes into thai/asian themed dishes which is up our alley. We made a reservation at 1:45 PM and we had to wait for about an extra 30 minutes before getting seated. Initially, I wanted to try their crab fried rice but unfortunately they were out of crab. We decided to get the Alcatraz Escape and the Brioche french toast which were recommended by the wait staff. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating but I can tell they were swamped and stressed out with all the people they were trying to serve. The food itself tasted decent, the Alcatraz Escape had a tasty flavor which incorporates tom yum paste (sweet, sour, tangy flavor) into their scramble with about 4 shrimps. The side of crispy chicken was good but nothing that stood out to us. The brioche was soft but there wasn't much flavoring besides the fruits and caramelized banana. It was served with evaporated milk which made the brioche soft but not adding much flavor to it. The price however was quite pricey. For two dishes as a side we paid around $78 with tax and tip.

The produce is sourced from a tight network of local farms. But it's not as exceptional as it used to be. The San Francisco burger scene has caught up, and Nopa's burger has lost its specialness...but that doesn't mean Nopa has. Nopa opened in 2006 inside a converted bank - high ceilings, a massive bar, a communal table, just - awesome vibes. From day one it became an industry restaurant - One of the few spots in the city where you could show up late night, order off a menu that changes daily, and know the food is going to be dialed in. They specialize in wood-fired cooking, which is why their thick cut, brined pork chop with baked beans is so popular - and...it's good, but their fried chicken is quickly becoming their best seller and THAT, was PERFECT. Crispy skin, juicy underneath, seasoned beautifully. But the dish that so perfectly encapsulates what Nopa is...was this salad. Just trout, and whatever was good at the farm that week. That's Nopa. A neighborhood kitchen, cooking what's in season, for the people who live down the street, on a menu that's always changing. Twenty years in, it's still full every night. And that could have been my entire review right there.

When we arrived, the hostess told us we would not be able to sit in any of the currently empty booths because reservations were coming in later. We were seated at a table off the dining space near the kitchen, my mom was a little too chilly and the booth didn't have enough neck support. I expressed to the host that though I was sorry I had forgotten to add accommodation, that this was just not the way to handle the problem. I was able to speak to the manager, who had been outside taking orders and was clearly working very hard that day. (Her name is quite uncommon so I'm just going to call her M, but I really appreciate your help!) She asked me what my concern was, and I told her, at which point she asked me to wait nearby while she figured out if she could rearrange some tables for us. The bartender was incredibly kind and served me while I waited, and distracted me from imminent tears by sharing intricate details about each drink he was making. I learned do they have a myriad of health oriented cocktails, with ingredients like turmeric, ginger, and aloe liqueur. The manager returned and said that she had already seated my mother in a new space and escorted me to the table, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the meal. At the beginning of the menu, they list the ingredients that are currently in season, and at the back of the menu, there is a color wheel, telling you the benefits of the colors of food. (Purple foods can assist with memory and brain function!). We ordered the asparagus, which was in season, spicy cucumber, and the Aji grill for two. The tofu that came with the grill for two was my favorite thing that we ate. I think you can judge a vegan / vegetarian restaurant by their treatment of tofu. Perfectly seasoned with a crispy outside and I would come back just for this. The cauliflower steak was also pretty tasty. The cocktails are excellent, we tried the BLACKPINK and my mother tried the espressotini and we were really happy with both. I don't know how popular their bar scene is, but I imagine it would be a nice way to meet other vegan and vegetarian folks over light bites. Our waiter Daniel made sure to give us the Mother's Day special dessert the restaurant had created, which was an avocado Grenache with fresh berries. If the experience had started with less stress, this review would be five stars, but I'm very grateful to the staff for doing what they could to correct it and ensure that we had a great Mother's Day! I would love to visit again and update my review :)
