    Focaccia
    Miranda L.

Headed over for dinner with a friend at around their opening time of 5 pm on a Tuesday and we were one of the first tables there. The interior is so cozy and classy with the wooden fixtures and some deeper red brown hues. The menu is pretty specialized with their appetizers and mains. Focaccia - Some of the best starter focaccia I have ever gotten. It was so soft with a light crunchy outside and perfectly salty dipped in the olive oil mixture. I loved the addition of cheese and tomatoes in it as well making it similar to a pizza. Vongole al Vino Bianco - It was spicy and garlicky in this clear simple wine sauce. The clams themselves were big and juicy, sauteed very nicely and tomatoes always pair so well. It was so flavorful I would have dipped more bread into it. Tortelloni Allo Zafferano - It came out piping out, a good portion size and the saffron sauce was decadent and creamy. The ricotta prosciutto mixture inside was light and savory that balanced out the rich sauce. The flavors of the pasta were unique to other ones that I've had before. My friend says it is one of her favorite Italian places in the city and it is such a cute, intimate place for a nicer meal or date night!

Came here to celebrate a birthday dinner with a group of people. We made kind of a last minute reservation but they were able to accommodate us. We were seated right when we arrived, and began to order a bunch of items from the menu. I would say everything was quite tasty! One of our favorites was the ravioli and burrata. This is a nice choice if you are looking for an Italian spot for dinner.

My friend Carlos and I decided to meet for dinner, and I thought this would be an ideal place to catch up after a long absence since we actually were looking forward to hearing each other. Not a problem since there weren't any other customers for the entirety of our dining experience here. At the same time, it was concerning actually because we were wondering whether this was part of a longer term downward trend. Was there anything wrong about this place? Nope, the food was actually pretty well executed, and the space was certainly pleasant enough. Our dinner started nicely with a plate of housemade focaccia bread accompanied by an herb-infused olive oil (photo: https://yelp.to/SMl09J3-S5). Carlos and I decided to share an appetizer, the $14 Mozzarella in Carrozza where two pieces of panko-encrusted smoked mozzarella were served with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and a side of romaine salad (photo: https://yelp.to/r75mlzFqwZ). It worked. For his main, Carlos had the $25 Ravioli alla Burrata where handmade ravioli was stuffed with burrata cheese, browned in olive oil along with roasted tomato, olives, and zucchini (photo: https://yelp.to/W2DrJo5pGE). It was a refreshing dish dominated by the fresh burrata. I was more predictable and ordered the $25 Fettuccine alla Bolognese, my pasta sauce of choice with the handmade pasta ladled with a rich, meaty sauce and topped with ricotta and fresh basil (photo: https://yelp.to/X75dTTjbFG). It was just what I wanted, so it didn't disappoint. We also decided to share a side dish, the $10 Tris di Funghi, three kinds of mushrooms sautéed with garlic, peperoncini, and parsley (photo: https://yelp.to/qkidN5ZjWv). We chatted away almost our whole meal, and of course, total disregard of our caloric intake meant we needed to share the $10 Cannoli for dessert. It was quite a big housemade one piped with lots of whipped cream accented by chopped pistachios and orange rind (photo: https://yelp.to/vkaAZO64Pj). A fine ending. FOOD - 4 stars...no complaints about the execution here, maybe a little more oomph AMBIANCE - 4 stars...nice airy dining room, plenty of windows SERVICE - 4.5 stars...certainly had the attention of the owner TOTAL - 4 stars...authentic Italian, definitely deserves more business RELATED - Exploring the Mission? Mom drinking milk at Fiore Caffe Restaurant in San Franscisco

Stayed overnight at a bed and breakfast nearby. It was my boyfriend, myself and my 90-year-old mom having dinner there. We ordered the Ravioli, spaghetti and salmon plates they were all so delicious. The ambiance was lovely & service was exceptional. His kindness even made it the best because my mom wanted a glass of warm milk. And he sent someone to go get milk, warmed it and foamed it and she was so delighted.

I had the opportunity to visit Fiore Caffe with my wife last night and we were extremely pleased with the quality, service and flavor of the food. Definitely an authentic ristorante Napoletano. We started with a delicious Mozzarella I Carrozza antipasti, which was delicious and finished with the Paccheri Al Ragú Napoletano, to die for and a light and flavorful Burrata Ravioli with olive oil, zucchini and roasted tomatoes. The affogato and the chocolate mousse was a great way to finish the evening! We are definitely coming back!

    Spaghetti Olive e Capperi

Little reunion with my friends from my first year of working and this was the perfect spot to go. The food menu was clean and simple - few selection of starters, antipasti, entrees, and secondi. The drinks menu was a little more comprehensive with by the glass or bottle options of wine. I went in with high hopes and tried the spaghetti with olives and capers - genuinely my favorite way to eat spaghetti. Fortunately, this dish exceeded my expectations - the sauce was just the right balance of sweet and acidic, the pasta was near al dente, and the capers and olives brought such a magical addition to the dish. I'll definitely be coming back here.

    Tortelloni allo Zafferano

This place has the most comforting peaceful ambience. Great for a date night and the service was also nice. We ordered a whole bunch of pastas to share. Most pastas were alright but the standout was the Tortelloni. The stuffing was creamy yet light and the saffron sauce is by far one of the best I've ever had. I could probably eat another plate of the sauce alone. Highly recommend and would come back here just for the Tortelloni.

Located in the legendary Mission District of San Francisco, this wine bar is a great spot to catch up with friends and enjoy small bites and yummy crafted cocktails. Their decor is very chic and I especially loved all of the hardware, glasses, tables, and benches. This place was styled by a great design artist. Even though the place was pretty packed and can be kind of noisy, I still felt very calm amongst all the healthy plants and loved the sophisticated 70s inspired glassware. Another great feature of this place is that you can buy most of the plants because they have some for sale so after a couple of cocktails, I was ready to redecorate my whole house with all the plants. I ordered a yummy Rose blend that was super crisp. Also enjoyed the Truffle Fungi! A delicious Shiitake and oyster mushrooms with parmesan and arugula on toasted bread. Their Spanish inspired potatoes were delicious with their dipping sauce. They have lots of gatherings there and DJ sets on the weekends. Lastly, a photographer would die to take pictures here. There is no bad shot as the design artist made sure every section of this cute wine bar was picture perfect. Loved all my photos and videos. I look forward to returning to this exquisite wine bar!

I love the decor of this space! It is definitely intentionally and tastefully decorated. Loved the lighting and plants. They had Lord of the Rings playing on the wall. The vibe is artsy, warm, a little dark, and overall a cool place to mingle. The bathrooms and tables were kept clean. I liked it that the DJ was live mixing. Getting a drink was fast and easy. The high top tables were a bit wobbly, so we spilled half a drink on there. The drinks are strong. I recommend going upstairs to sit instead if you want to hear your friends better. The tables are bigger up there too. The rooftop was closed off but I'd like to check it out sometime.

The people were laughing, the drinks were flowing. It smelled really good, which we would later find out was from the food especially that Mac and cheese. We started off with different wines, some that Tom recommended based on what we told him we didn't like or did like. He apologized for our previous experience and was genuinely a nice guy. Honestly it's very admirable for a business owner to take feedback to heart and want to incorporate it. Plus he's a really cool guy when you get to know him. The staff was busy running around but still made time to come check on us. Our final verdict is we came on a bad day. This time we got the actual Waystone experience. We finally got to try the chicken bites with a creamy aioli, fries with yogurt sauce, and the star of the show was the Mac and cheese. Tik tok did live up to the hype and we will have to come back for one of their jazz nights. Be warned this place gets busy! But it's worth it.

We were able to snag a seat at the bar after waiting a few minutes. Drinks: A nice selection of wines, vermouth cocktails and some beer and non alcoholic options availible. We ordered chilled bottles of sparkling red wine which was served in a bucket with ice which was a nice touch to keep it cool. Food: Tinned monkfish liver - nice and creamy, rich with mild flavor served with bread, crackers, potato chips and pickled peppers Tinned stuffed squid - very tasty, squid were cut into smaller pieces making it easy to pass around also served with the same bread, crackers, and potato chips Tortilla - a nice piece of egg and potato tortilla served warm on a slice of ciabatta, this was well seasoned and a generous portion size, was surprised it was served like an open faced sandwich made it a little bit difficult to cut up and share but tasty regardless Jamon con brie - similar to the tortilla served in a warm open faced sandwich, ham and brie were nice, a little greasy and salty Service was fine, walk up to the bar and place your order, they'll provide you with a number for food delivery to your seat. Water we grabbed a filled our glasses as needed. Plates were cleared relatively quickly when we were finished. Overall enjoyed El Chato, there happened to be some live music that evening which was fun but made for a pretty loud space. Food was solid nothing outstanding but a nice array of tin fish and tapas, liked the wine and vermouth options. A fun spot for girls night expect a crowd if you go earlier in the evening.
