Was looking for a place for Sunday breakfast and saw this place had good reviews. Did not have to wait for a table but the place was full and it's a pretty small restaurant. Got the bacon, avocado, tomato eggs benedict. Was good, with the hollandaise sauce having a nice tang and the eggs were poached perfectly. The real standout was the breakfast potato's which were nice and crispy and seasoned perfectly. The eggs Benedict I got was $20, and most plates here are around that price, so certainly not the cheapest place, but the pricing seems par for the course around the Bay Area. Food: good. Service: unacceptable. Got an attitude when we sent back a chicken and waffles before it was even cooked. Fine, whatever. What's not fine... my partner ordered a dish exactly like mine, no avocado. She has a rare allergy. Plate comes out and the burrito is stuffed with avocado, and the server had the nerve to say that's what she ordered. It wasn't. Serving someone food they're allergic to and then gaslighting them about it is a serious problem. The kitchen and front of house need to do better. One star. read more

Solid small corner breakfast spot in Noe Valley. Came around lunch on a Saturday and it was very busy. Took about 20 min for them to seat us and around the same amount of time for the food to come out after we ordered. Our group ordered breakfast sandwiches, an omelette and corn beef hash. First off the portions here are big, perfect for a girl like me that loves breakfast. The corn beef hash was tender and seasoned well, but wish the peppers and onions were cooked more. They were pretty raw. The omelette was hearty but again the peppers and onion inside were raw. The breakfast sandwiches were solid and the eggs cooked exactly as ordered. I was impressed as soon as I first stepped into Taffi's. Their interior is familiar and inviting, a rustic reimagining of the classic American diner. The service was friendly as well. I asked if they had any recommendations on what to order, and they gave me a passionate and comprehensive explainer on their favorite dishes. My one small complaint is that they didn't come to top off my coffee until after my meal was finished. I found the food to be excellent, but a bit pricey for what I got. I ended up ordering multiple sides to satiate my appetite. However, I strongly reccomend Taffi's to anyone looking for a great brunch with a lovely atmosphere. Huevos Ahogados: Extremely flavorful broth with the perfect amount of spice. The handmade tortillas were wellmade and made for a lovely pairing with the dish. The poached egg was not cooked to my preference, and I would have enjoyed a runnier yolk. For it's price I wish it came with a side of potatoes. As I didn't find the meal filling enough. Breakfast Potato: One of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. A crisp exterior gives way to a luxuriously fluffy interior. It was perfectly spiced, and both herby in flavor with a subtle heat. So happy to see a new place open up here! We went for brunch and it was delightful. Food was solidly good- I had the mushroom scramble, which was tasty; my daughter had huevos ahogados, which was unique, delicious, and assertively spicy. The coffee was not quite strong enough for my taste but came in an adorable cup. My daughter's matcha latte was good. The fruit cup was full of good ripe fruit with lots of blueberries at the bottom. Randomly came across this establishment on my weekend trip to SF. All the staff is super friendly and hospitable. The food is really something else. I enjoy a salmon eggs Benedict for breakfast pretty frequently and this is by far one of the best I've had. Their buttermilk pancakes are so delicious I had to ask how they make them! The establishment itself is in a really tranquil neighborhood with easy to find parking and very little traffic. The aesthetic is very homey and their plant wall is beautiful. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. My husband had the ham Benedict and I the bacon avocado cheddar omelette. The Ham Benedict was served on a sourdough roll instead of English muffin. My husband thought the bread was tough. My omelette was quite good, especially the bacon. However the potatoes are burnt and dry. They do not offer gluten free toast so I had the fruit option. I was very happy with the ripe fruit and the blueberries were outstanding. The coffee is flavorless. Service was okay. Prices were fine too. I hope they work out the kinks and thrive. read more

The cafe is the perfect size offering tables and a counter to have your meals. It is spotless and decorated with fun coffee cups and is very inviting and warm. The breakfast we had was delicous, an omlette with spinach and mushrooms, and their special double cooked crisp potatoes and fruit. On the side we had a buttermilk pancake. Everything was delicious and the servings were very generous. Since breakfast was so good, we had to try lunch the next day. Another great meal. A tuna sandwich served with fruit or salad and pickles on the side. Everything was perfect. The menu is varied, serving the traditional breakfast menu items and then Breakfast burrritos, chilaquiles, then you have salads, sandwiches, burgers, you name it, they have it. I mourned the sudden passing of 'Toast' in this location, but like others, I'm REALLY glad these guys have opened up. I just had their Bacon/Avocado eggs Benedict and highly suggest you try it out. Do not waste your money here. Food is horrible. Latte was decent, lemonade was great, fruit was good Wait time to receive overly cooked burnt food 45 mins and we were the second set of customers. One customer at the bar already been served. Ambiance there dying plants on the wall which tells me no one cares for them. The waiter did not even come over that he was leaving for the day and that another person was taking over. The waitress did not introduce herself and when I asked for the check at the counter no ask if the food was any good. Do not spend your money here. I drove all the way from Eastbay thinking Toast still existed but it does not and we tried this cafe and not worth it. read more

I've eaten here easily six times, I love their spinach, mushroom and goat cheese scramble and roasted potatoes. I've come with friends and family, we're all happy with the warm and efficient service, they're really caring and I appreciate their nice sized portions. Yesterday we had 23 people from a group that I'm a member of, all arrive at 12:30 or a few minutes before (we'd given Jimmy and Taffi advance notice and updated them as our group grew). Our large group received the best service from them and their team, in the 18 months or so that we've been meeting for lunch - every month. We felt comfortable, members raved about the Reuben and other dishes that they ordered, as we were leaving some members told me that they want to come back (we will!). How they delivered 23 meals plus other guests meals out in that short time frame, hot, delicious - is nothing short of amazing. It was served on brioche bread with slices of thick cut bacon, avocado and tomato. The hollandaise sauce was homemade with just the right amount of lemon. My husband had eggs with corned beef that was from a real cut of beef, not canned. He loved his meal as well. Service was friendly and attentive. This is definitely a must try! Taffi's at the corner of Day Street and Church is a new delish breakfast/lunch place in Noe Valley. Light and bright interior with a few tables outside on the sidewalk. They make the best eggs Benedict...eggs poached just right with a scrumptious lemony hollandaise, with just a hint of heat and they put it on ciabatta bread. So much better than an English muffin. The owners, Jimmy and Taffi are wonderful, friendly hosts. Just a great couple. And Andres, server, is so accommodating and friendly. I always come for breakfast, but friends tell me their patty melt is to die for. So I will be back for lunch soon. This restaurant deserves your patronage. I've come here at least 6 times since opening Favorites: Chilaquiles - delicious a bit spicy for kids Yam egg dish - healthy, feels light, have ordered multiple times Burger - smash burger. I'm not a smash burger fan and this is so good. Pancakes - they serve the syrup warm!! Coffee - great lattes! Great kids options! My kids eat up the egg breakfast as well as the pancakes. Had a nice quick lunch a few days ago - sat inside. Could not help but catch a whiff of some strong scent from the bathroom, like a disinfectant. Could use a better air fan as it was really noticeable. Ordered the Reuben sandwich on really nice marbled bread - one bite was good. Second bite I found a very long hair. Did not eat that part, but finished the rest of it. Maybe some hair nets for the staff? The hot tea came in a cup with a saying that we thought was really cute. Our lone waiter was most attentive and friendly. Loved the green wall with all the plants. We do want to wish them good luck as it's a great location and neighborhood hangout. read more
