    Tofu scramble
    Sara L.

Although the prices have doubled, the staff has changed, and kiddos have joined the dining room experience since I last visited over a decade ago, the spirit and flavor of Boogaloos remains absolutely fabulous! Fake foliage hangs from wall mounted planters, quintessential 80's music flows from speakers above, and counterculture artwork lines the walls. Since I couldn't remember what I ordered so long ago when brunching with friends on Sundays was a regular happening, I ordered the tofu scramble today. The pesto sauce was a light added delight to the mashup of tofu and hash browns. The portions were hugely perfect. San Francisco is lucky Boogaloos remains.

Cute restaurant with friendly staff! Menu has great variety. I got the avocado toast which was pretty good, I think two toasts would've made this easier to eat, one egg per toast but it was still good!

Classic Cubano with side of chicken cilantro soup

Interior was a diner vibe with a Latin twist of that makes sense! It was vibrant and lively inside, and the waiters were extremely attentive and patient. All of the dishes my friends and I got were delectable! I personally got their cubano, and it was huge and delicious. Everything you would expect in a typical cubano, but with large portions. The chicken cilantro soup was a pleasant surprise, and was slightly spicy and very flavorful. Plantains are a must and eating it with the beans makes it perfect. My friend let me try a bite of their birria taco dipped in both the consome and green salsa and it literally made my jaw drop on how good it was. I genuinely recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, everything!

Great service and LARGGGGE portions! The staff were helpful and had great banter. I opted for the chorizo and eggs, it came with four warm corn tortillas and black beans. Perfect to make that yummy breakfast taco. We also had the chicken and waffles which were crispy and light. Solid spot for a hearty meal we even left with leftovers for later :)

I had a friend visiting from outta town, they wanted to explore the mission and suggested Boogaloos as our meetup stop for brunch. We got there on a Saturday after noon, and were able to get seated right away. The space is old-school diner vibes which I enjoyed. I'm not much of a breakfast person, so decided to go with their chicken pesto sandwich. I didn't have high hopes, but was surprised and how flavorful the sandwich was overall. The fries were good too. Not sure if it was 1000 island sauce, but it was a really good dip. My girlfriend got their chorizo quesadilla, and that was hefty, and tasty. The service was a bit rough around the edges. However, what I loved about this place was the portion size and price. Lots of food for the price and I think it's good value. Definitely would recommend for breakfast and brunch, especially if you are trying to satisfy a lot of different cravings.

Waffle Special & Square Cool Combo

My friend and I decided to stop by on Sunday around lunch time because we wanted to get brunch after visiting the kitty cafe. It wasn't too busy yet, so we were able to be seated immediately. I ordered the Waffle Special and she ordered the Square Cool Combo with the potatoes. It took around 20 minutes to get our food. The Waffle Special had bananas and strawberries which gave light sweetness to the dish. The waffle was soft and the scrambled eggs were fluffy and tasty. The bacon was a bit too dry and hard rather than crispy. Next time, I have to try a different side instead. My friend let me try her potatoes, and it was flavorful and soft. I typically go for sweet and savory dishes, so I felt that this had both elements. The place had cool art lined on the walls and some plants. The tables had cool pages and art decor which gave it this casual, artsy, vintage diner type of vibe. Our waitress was attentive and kind, checking on us periodically, refilling our waters when we were running low. It was great service. This is a nice casual diner with American and Latin American dishes and it had a good mix of typical breakfast foods that you would see in a brunch spot. They have plenty of other dishes that were interesting to us, so we definitely need to return and try next time!

Came here on a Sunday morning. Parking can be difficult if you're driving so you may find yourself parking a few blocks away from the restaurant. When you arrive, there is a sign in sheet by the door to put down your name, party size, seating preference. We waited about 10mins to be seated. Vibe is casual. They have a large menu which I love because a lot of other places I've been to have limited options for breakfast. To start, we had the Bloody Mary and fresh grapefruit juice. For my meal I got the tofu scramble with ranchero sauce which comes with potatoes and your choice of toast (all vegan). It was so good, every bite of the tofu had so much flavor from the ranchero sauce. Potatoes were nice and crispy on the outside and soft inside. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict with hash browns and a side of pork sausage. He thoroughly enjoyed his food. Servers work as a team to put out food and drinks in a timely manner. This place is a gem and I will continue coming and bringing family from out of town to try more delicious food and drinks.

My friends and I stopped by here for a brunch in mission district. The place is well decorated and cozy. It was a filled restaurant by the time we came so we waited ~15min to be seated, but the staff was kind and quick to help us. The food was great and was exactly what we were hoping for- your typical breakfast food. Although nothing stood out as phenomenal, you can't really go wrong with ordering anything from the menu since all the dishes were still great. Our waiter was also nice and consistently checked on us. Great find, and would recommend for a solid, filling meal!

    Chicken Pesto Sandwich

Food was absolutely delicious! I got the Chicken Pesto sandwich with fries on the side. Prices are very far, especially for the amount of food that you get. The server was very attentive and even made some recommendations from the menu. If you're not a breakfast food person, this is still a great spot to try out as they have a variety of other options. The restaurant is located on the corner of 22nd and Valencia and it brings in a lot of natural lighting. Beautiful space and lively music. I would definitely come back and bring my family/friends here.

The food was subpar at best, the steak is unseasoned, and the waffles were not bad. The food came quickly and the staff was professional. The interior is beautiful, and the skylight makes for a pleasant eating area; the music is mostly throwbacks, and elevates the ambiance.

So good! Breakfast here is always delicious, the place is cute, and the service great. The plantain cake and fried plantains are our favorite menu items! A go-to spot for brekky fs :)

Ordered their chorizo hash and eggs for brunch and it was sooooo delicious!! Literally ate the whole thing with some hot sauce (: super filling and a great portion!! It wasn't too crowded when I went for brunch on a Tuesday. The staff were so friendly and accommodating! I would definitely be back!

Great first visit. The welcoming staff invited me to sit in a booth while I waited for my friend. Love the Latin boogaloo theme with album covers plastered over the table tops! Lots of tasty sounding options but we both went for the desayuno típico. The plantain cake was amazing! Naturally sweet and plenty filling. The plate also came with black beans, fresh salsa, and corn tortillas. Coffee was hot and strong. Central location in the Mission District. I'd happily return.
