Really good Margherita pizza. I came here with co-worked around lunch time. There was ample indoor and outdoor seating. I also had a speciality coffee (can't remember what it was) and it was actually really good.

Stopped in for lunch before a doctor appointment. The restaurant is on the second floor but there is no signage at the front door directing you to either the stairs or the elevator. Once upstairs I seated myself as nobody seemed to look up. I flu d out that I was supposed to order at the counter. Nobody told me. I ordered a lovely looking salade nicoise. Have you ever been served a dish that was too large for the plate/bowl it was served in? This made it very difficult to cut or slice the contents without making a mess all over the table. The flavor was good. I eat large salads daily, many with an assortment of greens. These greens were unusually tough and hard to chew. Strange. I'll come back for dinner sometime in the hopes that this was a singular unfortunate experience.

Stopped into this hidden gem for lunch a couple weeks ago and had a delicious beet salad with chicken (pickled beets! Need I say more?). The salad was gorgeous, the portion size was generous, and I loved the use of produce. It was a sunny day and I was able to sit outside with a view of the bay as the gardeners freshened up the garden. Everyone was super friendly, the food came out quickly, and the space was so relaxing. They change their menu seasonally and I'm excited to see what they have in store for the summer.

This place was great. I work across the street and have wanted to stop by for a while. They have an incredible view and you can sit down and eat. My food was bomb, summer peach salad with grilled chicken. It was ready in no time. It wasn't too busy and the staff were super friendly. Perfect little place tucked in a bunch of medical facilities. You don't even feel like you're in that atmosphere once you step inside.

STEM Kitchen and Garden I stopped by STEM Kitchen and Garden for Tuesday lunch after walking past it a few times and always wanting to check it out. From the outside, the place looked really fancy, so I was curious to see if the food and vibe lived up to it. The ambiance was great! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I ordered the mushroom risotto, and it was delicious! The portion was quite generous, and I appreciated that they had takeout boxes conveniently placed by the water station for anyone who wanted to pack up their leftovers. In terms of pricing, I found it to be pretty fair. Considering the portion size and the quality of the food, it felt like good value for the money. I'd definitely come back again--maybe next time to just grab a coffee. If you're looking for a place with good food, a nice vibe, and a beautiful view, I'd recommend checking this spot out!

Stem Kitchen & Garden Started off with a summer gem salad which included: peaches, dates, tomatoes, and golden balsamic vinaigrette. Then came the flank steak w/ horseradish yogurt, grilled salmon, with sides of scallion, green beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli. Finally, we ended with some fantastic desserts. The Hazelnut crunch cake, strawberry rose cheesecake, and strawberry rhubarb tart. The horseradish with the flank steak was my favorite part of the meal, and the hazelnut crunch cake was amazing! There's a nice outside area that would be great on a sunny day. The service was great-- the staff was efficient and friendly. Food was overall pretty good, but the flank steaks were a bit over cooked for my preference and the broccoli were too stiff. But other than that. It was a good meal!

Came here with one other person and we got an outdoor seat! Good: - Beautiful views - you can get a good view of the Dogpatch area from on top of the rooftop! I'm a huge fan of the area it's in - I liked the Brussel sprouts a lot - super yummy and crispy and there are a lot of them for $8 - The tuna melt was half decent - wasn't something memorable but had a lot of ingredients stuffed inside it and was a big portion size - The chocolate dessert was okay but also really sweet Bad: - Long service times - it was hard to find where to go and it's more of a diner experience than one where you feel cared for - had to flag someone down to give us the dessert Overall felt like this was a decent experience view wise but otherwise didn't feel like somewhere I'd visit again unless they open for dinner, then I'd want to give it another try!

One of my favorite lunchtime restaurants. This place has excellent views and plentiful seating for both indoors and outdoors. The food is always fresh and delicious. It can be hard to find if you aren't looking for it, but if you are in the area, I highly recommend it, especially if you like fresh salads. My only criticism is that the follow-up table service seemed lacking the last few times I have been there. It seemed like they were shorthanded; hopefully, something they could rectify.

Lovely ambiance, the staff was outstanding, the Soba Noodle was delicious! Make sure you spend the time in the garden, comfortable seating and views of the bay.

Came here for an end of the quarter lunch with my classmates. Thanks to the close proximity to UCSF Mission Bay, lunch was a five minute walk. There is street parking and garage parking for a fee. The parking garage on third Street is quite expensive so I recommend finding street parking. Behind the restaurant is a tiny garden. I was told that the restaurant uses produce and vegetables from the garden as part of the meal. They have a big indoor space perfect for groups with dim lighting, and modern looking decor. There are also lots of outdoor seating as well. As for the menu, it's pretty limited and mainly consist of burgers, salads and pizza.

Beautiful restaurant conveniently located near UCSF. The back patio was a great place to enjoy lunch and a view. The menu is on the small side but what they did have on it all looked good. Everyone enjoyed their food, so big plus for that. While the staff was friendly, not the most attentive. We stood up at the front register for several minutes waiting for someone to come take the order. They also charge for drink refills..... which is a choice for this type of establishment.

Just had a wonderful team lunch here. It was pretty cold out but my coworkers wanted to sit outside in the lovely courtyard/garden. Turns out they have very strong heat lamps so I was totally comfortable. I had the iceberg wedge salad with tofu and my coworkers had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and the butternut squash pizza. I wish I took better pix of the food - it was beautiful and delicious. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Tucked away as a speakeasy vibe and moody, golden lighting, it's the kind of place that feels like a secret you're lucky to be in on. The ambiance is sultry and sophisticated, with just the right touch of mystery. But the real alchemy? That's Manny behind the bar. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel like regulars. His energy is warm, his knowledge is deep, and his cocktails? Absolute works of art. He asked what flavors I liked and crafted something completely off-menu that was hands-down one of the best drinks I've ever had. Watching him work is like watching a performance precise, passionate, and full of flair. The rest of the staff was equally welcoming, and the music set the perfect tone for a night of conversation and connection. Whether you're a cocktail connoisseur or just looking for a memorable night out, The Alchemist delivers on every level. Pro tip: Sit at the bar and ask for Manny. Once most of our party was here, we got seated at an outside seating area that was marked as reserved. The atmosphere and decor struck a great balance between welcoming and elegant. The space had earthy tones, flattering lighting, and various layouts of seating layouts. The bar itself was beautifully displayed. We ordered various drinks and some small bites. Yuka fries, ceviche clasico, carne asana tacos, al pastor tacos. The chips were solidly crisp, crunchy, and paired very well with the ceviche. The carne asana tacos with the salsa macha was juicy and perfectly done, and my favorite small bite of the night.. The Yuka fries were perfectly salted and the aioli dip was exactly what you'd want out of fries. My friends recommended the Kiwi and I found it refreshing, almost like a drink you'd have at a spa or so. I also tried the Oaxacan, which was styled like an old fashioned. I thought it was fair, but if I were to pick a favorite out of the two, the Kiwi would be my choice. Even with a busy crowd, the service was attentive and checked on us every so often. Overall, Cavana was a memorable rooftop experience that I enjoyed. I'll definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a rooftop bar with great small bites!

They do go heavy on the ice with some of the drinks but they all came out in different glasses, different sizes, and different flavors. It was fun tasting them all. My favorite was the watermelon and guava. I would definitely come back for the drinks. I didn't enjoy the food, and here's where it went wrong. We first got our chips and salsa. The chips are seasoned like Doritos so there's a nice flavor but the seasoning is in consistent. Some pieces were SO salty and some had no seasoning. The salsa is pretty rich as well. When our ceviche came, I ate a bite without the seafood and it tasted fishy. When I tried the actual seafood part, I knew it went bad because it had such a strong odor. We had to send it back but saw them serving it to other people. I eat a lot of seafood and I don't mind a slight fishy taste but this was definitely a food poisoning situation. After that it took a very very long time to get our last dish. Unfortunately when it finally came out, it was a disappointment. The octopus texture tasted like it had freezer burn, then was over cooked, sat too long after it was cooked because they had to make the fries. The fries were fresh but the octopus was dry, cold, hard, and chewy. I've had lots of pulpo before and this was a let down. It was a bummer that we didn't get to eat much and decided to walk somewhere else to finish dinner.
