Lovely hidden gem bar in Soma! I've come for their trivia nights (Trivia Thursday, 7pm) twice now and both times have been so fun. The hosts/owners are awesome and the questions are always interesting -- not obscure and very reasonable compared to other trivia places I've been to. I like their puzzle & music rounds especially. The prize for winning first is a karaoke party which is so cool!! They have a ton of food & drink options and a great drink of the month deal ($7). I'm definitely planning to come back for more trivia nights with more friends. Ambiance inside is not too rowdy but still lively, which is perfect. It's not intensely crowded and there's lots of seating. They also have a cute dog and free popcorn machine. They play great music too. And not to mention the friendliest staff!! read more

Popped in here to have a drink and wait for my partner to get off work. It was trivia night and the bar was nice and busy, especially for a Thursday. I ordered a margarita off their happy hour menu and the price and quality was great. When my partner showed up we got the fried chicken sandwich, garlic fries and management threw in a caesar salad wrap, Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. There was a very sweet dog (ESA I assume) who was supervising the room. Overall fun crowd, friendly staff and good grub. I will be back! read more

The short: Hidden gem in the former location of Ted's Sports Bar. Dog friendly. Vegan friendly. Low prices, warm and inviting atmosphere. What more could you ask for? The long: I'd never heard of Question Mark Bar, but I decided to stop in on a Monday afternoon for a late lunch after seeing some signs for it up on light posts around the neighborhood and confirming they had a vegan option on the menu. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by both the bartender, Kenzie, and the owner, Jeremy, who was sitting at a booth in the corner, working on his laptop and conducting some business on the phone. The food came out quickly and was good! (The vegan burger comes with cheese and mayo, but Kenzie mentioned that as soon as I ordered, so I was able to ask for them to be left off.) Jeremy offered my dog a treat and some pats and scratches on the head. Before he headed out, he handed me his card and said to let him know if I ever wanted to have them open up early to show any soccer games. I went for lunch on a Tuesday. Mostly empty, one server and plenty of empty spots. Interior was a bit dark lighting wise. I wish the tables were a little less sticky. Some quiet conversations and light music. Most of the seating is booth-style seats or at the bar. The price felt great for the food I got. I got a chicken tortilla soup and fish and chips. Both items were great, with the soup hot and flavorful, and the fish and chips crispy. There's a 10% discount if you're eating there while on jury duty. Convenient, as it's right next to the criminal court. There's a lot of the place which hints it's more lively in the later hours, including posters for bar trivia and a karaoke spot. read more

Food - Get anything that involves tots. I could eat those suckers until my mouth is raw. Frito pie is also a special callout here. Not only is it hard to find in the city, it's actually good. All of the menu items have a lot of thought put into them and I have yet to try anything here I didn't enjoy. Taps rotate but there is always a good balance of options. You aren't going to get stuck between picking 1 of 7 IPAs. Service - Jeremy and the rest of the crew are always friendly and attentive. If you become a regular, they are going to know you by name and update you with the new things they have going on. Ambiance - Classic neighborhood bar feel but well kept. There is something for just about everybody here. Check with them for the different things they have planned throughout the week. They have everything from karaoke and trivia to speed dating and a jukebox. In addition to that, if there's a local game on, it's going to be playing here. This is a great alternative to some of the super crowded bars closer to the stadiums. Misc - You need to ring the doorbell for entry so don't panic if it takes them a few seconds to let you in. read more

Didn't really dive in too far on the food, but there was a staff in the kitchen and was a big enough operation to not be a 1 man show. I had my 25th birthday here, and honestly, it was the best decision I made. Jeremy was such an amazing host! He made sure everything went smoothly and was super accommodating to all my needs, even when I had a few last-minute things pop up. I rented out the entire downstairs bar for myself and about 60 guests, and the space was perfect, plenty of room for everyone to hang out and have a great time. Jeremy also helped me out with creating 3 custom drinks, which was such a cool touch. My guests loved them, and it was fun having drinks that I personally love when I go out. One of the best, if not the best, hidden gem bar in San Francisco! My friends and I held three private event parties here and had an amazing time at each of them. Big shout out to the bar owner Jeremy. Really cool bar owner who was always so willing to help out and accommodate to the needs for our events. Really easy to work with and even did an incredible job bartending one of them with a crowd of 70/80 people! The customer service here is unmatched and the food/drinks are delicious as well! Also, shoutout to the bartender April too! Super friendly, attentive, and makes amazing cocktails! Between hosting private birthdays, karaoke nights, watching the niners on sunday, trivia nights, or simply having a late night dinner with friends, I highly recommend stopping by this bar because they have it all! It's not just a typical bar, it offers an eclectic menu of entertainment from dog events, live music, DJs, game night, etc. Jeremy cares about his patrons and will watch out for unsafe behaviors and monitors the environment to ensure everyone is having a good time. Currently coming for weekly karaoke with Karaoke Shark Glenny on Tuesdays (amazing show) but this is the kind of local bar that one should fall into after a Giants game or a Moscone Conference or just after getting off Caltrain. ****UPDATE**** I contacted Jeremy privately questioning why he was so rude. His response was "men who are rude and creepy to my female customers do not deserve polite behavior" So many problems with his response: 1) there were only 2 women there, both friends of mine. One I only said a brief hello to and the other I talked to only for a few minutes, and again both are friends....nothing rude or creepy 2) Other than those conversations I was only chatting to the (male) Titos salesperson If somebody was rude and creepy a "normal" person would ask them to leave, not let them stay and harass them. He is either on hallucinogens or has an amazing imagination. Friends and I were invited to a Titos event there. The Titos rep. who we were chatting with was very friendly. We each ordered a drink and tipped the owner, Jeremy Paz. Later on when he was making some drinks I politely said "when you have a moment could we have one more please?" Jeremy shot back with a rude and inaccurate personal attack. Based on that we immediately left the bar. No question mark about it, we will never go back and suggest you don't go.
