Lived in SF/Potrero Hill for 6+ years, love the "Yankee" walking distance from our flat, awesome casual vibe to watch sporting events and grabbing a beer. Pub and tavern fare from burgers, nachos, potato skins, salads, have a great vegan stew with butternut squash, chard, white beans. Friendly neighborhood vibes, sports bar atmosphere and great hospitality and food!

we stopped at Connecticut Yankee for a drink & a bite to eat before going to a show at Bottom of the Hill. we got the fried chicken sandwich (perfectly crispy), the green chile mac and cheese, and the BLT salad. with it being a dive bar, their food definitely surpassed my expectations! look at the avocado on the salad--they didn't skimp!! the crowd consisted of locals, people stopping by on their way to a show, friends of staff, and post-giants game goers. i'm pretty sure that wherever you are in the bar, you'll have a clear view of a TV that plays soccer, baseball, or the occasional movie when no sports are on. the bartender was super friendly and nice, he made us feel very welcome! they have a handful of games (cribbage, cards, monopoly go, connect 4, etc) and also have a pool table in the back! there is decor GALORE with license plates, string lights, halloween skeletons, stickers, old photos of Fenway Park and much more Boston memorabilia. vibes are definitely a classic dive bar so if you're in the area and that's what you're looking for--go!

Love coming here for trivia with my friends on Wednesday nights. The food here can be decent as well, though watch out if they ask you if you want a side of fries with your burger or sandwich -- they do not come with a side, so you will be charged for it separately. I got the Chicken Nachos, which were about as good as I expected from a bar. The cheese is some kind of beer cheese because its flavor is weird, and the chicken seems pre-grilled. It filled me up and in the context I was in, they hit the spot. The atmosphere here is very fun though, so would recommend it for a local place to have a good time doing trivia!

Love watching a game here. They have a big bar area, a back room, and an outside section for different vibes. The staff are top notch and really go above and beyond. Food is solid and prices are ok for SF.

We were heading to The Chase Center for a concert and decided to give this place a try. It was Easter Sunday so we weren't sure how busy this place would be. Well, it was BUSY!! We lucked out that a table opened up as this seemed to be a seat yourself type of place. Felt bad for the staff as there only seemed to be 1 actual server but luckily a few food and drink runners. Food and beers were good. For how busy it was everything arrived in a timely manner. They are smart, they take your card and essentially start a tab. Understandable as it is probably busy all the time. My only negative comment is it is EXTREMELY loud. Hard to have a good conversation as it was hard for my husband and I to hear each other. Other than that it was a cute but small place with good food and drinks!!

We went to a recent concert venue down the street and arrived a tad bit early before opening time. We had not had dinner so it was referred to us that they had food and beverages at short jaunt from the venue. We slid into a 4 table top and ordered a few Adult beverages. We also ordered Chicken Nachos and a few appetizers. They had a few beer selections as well as a full bar. The Server and Bartender were really friendly and it was a nice cozy neighborhood watering hole in SF. The food was good and I look forward to trying out more of their menu items in the near future. Great Beer selection if your into the local Craft beers scene.

We came back! We got engaged on April 7th!! After almost 10 years of a still very happy relationship.. We wanted to come back to one of our old favorites.. They did not disappoint. New owners and the menu has changed, but,,, the gravy is still some of the best ive had.. You have to come and try it.. We shared a Chicken Snitzel plate, with mashed potatoes and fresh veggies, and a Chicken sando, with really good fries. Everything was very tasty.. Victoria greeted us and waited on us too! She was very nice and efficient.. We had a really great return visit..I look forward to coming back again down the line..I'd eat here again just to have their Chicken Snitzel and gravy..delish..Also my margarita was really good.. I recommend it here as the food, service and the relaxed vibe was a good time.. seating was comfy enough and lots of parking.. Come give it a try!

CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD statement after dining/drinking here. They illegally added additional tip amount. I was there on Weds 12/4 ordered a few drinks. My first order was two shots. The second time I went to the bar, I ordered a Guinness. I waited over 10 mins at the bar counter and still didn't get my drink. Then I tried to get bartender's attention but she continued to ignore me so I asked the other bartender. The second bartender told me in a rude manner that the drink was not ordered on my tab. I told her I ordered it from the other bartender over 10 mins ago, to which she repeated that it's not on my tab. Then she asked if I wanted her to place the order. That's an obvious answer but I kindly said yes. It took another 5 mins to get my drink. Even with the terrible service I still left a tip. My bill was $35.03 and I tipped $3 considering the poor service. So total of $38.03 The next day, I checked my credit card online and saw that a total of $41.03 was charged to my card. This is not a big difference but the principle that an additional $3 was added illegally. I want to address my concerns as if this happened to me, how many other customers have been cheated as well? I sent them a message via Yelp but no reply. I wouldn't come here again.

Excellent service. The chicken sandwich and chicken potato skins were great. The salt & vin fries touched all the bases. Beautiful.

I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

Recently tried to go to Elements…read moreonly to discover it was closed or at least closed to additional patrons 45 minutes before closing so made our way to a couple other bars instead, including Blind Pig. It takes a lot for me to consider a return visit to a cocktail bar. Most of the time, I just begrudgingly go along with my friends to a mediocre bar, but Blind Pig is a place I would enthusiastically return to again and again. I first got the namesake cocktail: Blind Pig. It was incredibly well-balanced, and the flame presentation upon arrival was an epic mini show. Later during last call, I decided to risk it all and roll the dice to order from the secret menu. I rolled a 5, which got me a wine & Japanese beer concoction with Sichuan peppercorn. Totally feel like this cocktail was made for me, as I rep the 川渝 region. The drink was strong, but that made it all the better. Can't wait to come again and explore more of the menu behind the password-protected iykyk entrance.

I'm personally over (and too old) dealing with sloppy drunks spilling drinks on you, getting pushed around in a crowd or end up in a middle of a brawl Blind Pig is that perfect spot, well at least on a weeknight: chill, low-key, and moody. And, most importantly comfy seating AND solid AZN inspired craft cocktails ($18-$19). Cocktails with black sesame, taro, pandan, mapo tofu, tea, and hot pot flavors? YAS! D R I N K S * Hot & Sour: Tanqueray Gin w/ Iichiko shochu, aloe, rose, hot pot paste, basil, citrus, peychaud's ($18 x2) The sichuan hot pot inspired cocktail was silky smooth from the milk-washed gin, nicely balanced - sweet (but not too sweet) and sour with a subtle málà numbing spice. Stiff yet easy to drink. The manager/bartender, Leo was awesome with great hospitality. Background lounge-y music is not too loud so you can yap and catch-up with friends. Overall, Blind Pig is a great place to unwind after work or start the night off. If it's too tamed for you, you can always go next door to XEX to make bad decisions - no judgement cuz we've all been there! ;) O T H E R I N F O * Walk-in only. Seeing that it was named one of the top 50 best bars in North American, we had to check it out! We came in a Thursday night in mid-April about 9:45 PM. They have security outside thar checks IDs & also manages the queue in case the bar gets too crowded. We had no issues getting in, but there were zero indoor seats available - both the bar & table seating. Thankfully, they have a really cozy & well-lit patio area. The waitress let us know that even the outdoor patio has table-side service, so we made ourselves comfortable on the outdoor bench & within seconds she had brought us waters & cocktail menus. Weather outside was really nice, so I'm glad we actually sat outside. Each cocktail is $20, which definitely is a little steep, but I think the creativity, quality, & prestige of being named a top 50 bar supports the price. Each part of the menu is organized by liquor ie whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, etc. We tried 4 drinks total. I only took menu photos of the pages we ordered from but they have a lot more selections. We ordered the Kung Fu Pandan, Silky Street, Rice Rice Baby, & Tropical Gangsta. We had some favorites over others, but all were very well crafted! The drinks came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. The only hiccup was our final drink took quite a while. Turns out the ticket machine malfunctioned & deleted orders put in & caused a back-up. The waitress was so apologetic & ended up comp-ing 2 drinks, which she definitely didn't have to but it speaks volumes to the high standards they hold themselves to & their customer service. Overall, highly highly recommend checking this place out for a fun night out or post-dinner treat! Glad we made the decision to stop in!
