Just had an amazing dinner here! They have a wonderful gluten free menu. My party was open to the gluten free flatbread app and everyone liked it. They also had gf homemade bread to eat with the tapenade which was a real treat. Every dish was spot on, with perfect temperature. Not s single complaint or slip up. My husband even liked the smoked eggplant bisque I ordered and he normally hates eggplant! A complimentary dessert came for my MIL for her birthday, plus a gift card for free dessert on her next visit. Would love to return! read more

If I could I would stay the whole evening. Came an hour before reservations and sat at counter for wine and appetizer. Later sat at table. Both waitstaff were helpful and friendly. I go to Happy Hour here about 1x a month at least because it's amazing. Their calamari is my favorite and they also have this eggplant with goats cheese and Marinara that is out of this world! Came here for a business lunch during the week. We had reservations but none were needed as there was plenty of availability. If you're looking for a quiet place to connect with your dinner partner, this is not it. Notwithstanding the noise level and contant back and forth of patrons and staff, we had an enjoyable meal. With our reservation, my husband alerted them to our anniversary weekend and we were presented with two glasses of Champagne. A nice surprise! We started the meal off with mushroom crepes (2). Great aroma and taste, presented in a large dish surrounded by a cream sauce ($10). Entrees were equally tasty and beautifully presented. My husband ordered veal scaloppini which came over a bed of small fried potatoe gnocchi and a small portion of spinach on the side. ($35) I ordered eggplant. I was surprised to see four eggplant rounds, batter crisped sitting atop a tomato sauce base. No pasta. I would have liked pasta as an accompaniment. Each round was crowned by a dollop of creamy cheese. ($26) Too much to eat...as always...yet we found room for dessert...3 small scoops of house-made gelato ($7). 4 stars for a good meal, good service and a nice way to start the weekend! read more

We came to Colorado from California to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We had our "special" anniversary dinner here and couldn't have made a better choice! This restaurant is one of the most incredible places I've ever eaten. Everything from beginning to end was perfect. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. We sat at the Chefs counter and it was a magical experience! If you love food you have to try and sit where all the magic happens. I've been in Denver for a year and this is definitely been the best restaurant I've had the pleasure of dining at in the whole city. There is sort of a separate bar/lounge area with I think a different / possibly cheaper menu, but if you want to splurge, I highly recommend the full on dining experience. Everything my date and I ate was beyond excellent and they had many wine options, including our favorite Montalcino. HAPPY HOUR REVIEW ONLY: There is a reason that Panzano gets high reviews for "Best Happy Hour" in Denver. Went here on Friday afternoon to start the weekend off, and the professional, genuine bar staff did not disappoint at all. The drink list is quite extensive and prices are all under $8. The Marcona almonds are a great deal, be sure to share this large plate with friends. Try the Pastiche and the Pork Meatballs, and the savory marinara that is so fresh tasting, you would think they have a garden out back. The atmosphere is relaxed, with power brokers discussing the weeks deals and others there reading a book over a glass of wine. Next review will be of dinner which I am looking forward to! read more

We went for Valentine's Day dinner. Amazing service (Papa), great bread and apps- we had the Brussels sprouts and the cheese plate. Unfortunately, the entrees were very disappointing and overpriced. My girlfriend got the lamb ravioli which was $28 and came with only four ravioli total. I ordered the veal bolognese, also $28, which was pretty mediocre and had shaved raw carrots and celery on top that were extremely stale tasting and had the consistency of cardboard. Overall both entrees were pretty bland and came out lukewarm despite it being very early in the dinner service- about 5:30pm. I would come back for happy hour or brunch but I don't think the dinner is worth it at all for the money. read more

Best Italian food I've eaten since visiting...Italy! Ate here 2 nights out of 3. All of my dining companions loved their dishes both nights as well (8 people total). Grilled calamari was excellent. Rabbit with mushrooms and pasta - amazing! Bison short rib - perfect! Between the regular Caesar and the grilled - I preferred the grilled - give it a shot. Besides the great service from our friendly and helpful waiter, one thing I really appreciated about this place is that they didn't over-salt anything. They allow the natural flavors of the food to come through, which is so important when the ingredients are of such high quality and fresh. read more

Panzano is a great addition to a dining out in denver list. My favorite place is ocean prime and I was looking for some new additions we hadn't been to for a date night. The drinks were great. They also have some great aged whiskey drinks as well. The Brussels sprouts were excellent and we had them as an app. I got the short rib and my lady got the chicken. The short rib def could have included some more meat but was good and still filling. The chicken was big and my gf didn't eat all of it but said it was good. Their wine list is good as well. I will definitely be back. I'd say this is comparable to osterio Marco on mariner as far as food and wine. The cocktails def are better at panzano and they have a lot more to choose from in that realm. read more

Ravioli was above average but just under great. The chicken was served over masted potatoes and spinach with a layer of fine ham. Kinda like a cordon-blue. Very good. Have eaten here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Lunch was good so I came back with my wife for dinner. The gnocchi can be great, if it's not over-seared as it was the second time. Food came out warm, not hot, both times I ate here. Was told the specialty was veal scallopini, so we ordered it. Very disappointing. Cut too thick, making it dry and chewy. Wine prices are very steep to the point of being ridiculous. Bread is made on premises, but rather bland with no real crust. Overall, OK food for way too much money. read more

The number one thing that can make or break a restaurant for me is service, and the service at Panzano was wonderful. We were running late and called to make sure we could keep our reservation--they super accommodating on a night they were pretty booked up. The food was pretty good--not the best Italian I've ever had, but like I said, the great atmosphere and service won me over. The calamari was definitely the highlight of our order. I might say it's some of the best fried calamari I've had--not at all greasy, and perfectly breaded. And maybe I'm too easily impressed, but the iPad drink menu was awesome. read more

Went for Valentines day Dinner, had two different "Chef's Tasting Menus" My fiancee and I love to try new things and share our plates. Our server Ray Daly made this possible despite the tasting already being set for V Day specials. We had one regular tasting and he hand picked and paired a second so that we could try as much as possible. Everything he chose and his knowledge of the food and wine items were impeccable. When we go back we will definitely request his section. the restaurant was packed that night but we still got fantastic service and food. We sat for nearly 3 hours to enjoy our 5 course menu and never felt pushed or rushed. He made the dinner - and the Brussel sprouts were a surprise hit :) read more

I'm sorry to say that it usually takes subpar for me to write a review. The subpar has struck again!!! I want to first state this review isn't a 1-star because of the amazing service! Both my waiter and bartender were kind, friendly, and very informative. Kudos!! On to the nitty gritty: Just passing through Denver and staying at the Monaco. Checked in and immediately checked out Thrillist to find the best Denver spots. Panzano popped up. I was happy because it was an elevator ride away. Down I went. I started out with the grilled Cesar salad per my waiter's recommendation. Taste was ok. What really turned me off was the soggy/mealy lettuce on he place. They drenched the grilled greens in dressing. Probably not the best move. As an Italian litmus I ordered some Rissoto and ragu. Both came and looked deliscioso. Both came and were completely under seasoned and underwhelming. Saving grace (kind of): both grains (pasta and rice) were cooked to perfection. That taste though...... I actually grabbed the salt myself and seasoned to a more suitable taste level. This made the dishes tolerable. Upon receiving my check I told the waiter my issues. He grabbed the bill and insisted he take something off the bill. I denied. He left and talked with the manager. Wasn't about to make this a big scene, so I just casually walked out. Here's my take: From the sound of things, this restaurant has been open for a bit. The problem is this: chefs will leave quality control to their sous chef and/or line cooks after they've been running for a bit (sort of like autopilot). Chef Elise was not their tonight so quality fell on the shoulders of a few line cooks. I have full confidence if chef Elise was there, the food would have been fixed and re-plated. Seasoning is everything in cooking and if you can't trust your line cooks to season a recipe that's been replicated night after night.... You might want to spend a little more time at your restaurant making sure it gets done right. I know the manager will be writing some blanket response saying "we pride ourselves on quality.... Yada yada yada." If you pride yourself on quality so much, my food would not have been a dull thud in my mouth. read more

In town with a friend for a conference and had a wonderful dinner with another friend. Our waiter was superb. An old school type who knew how to treat his customers. We shared the fried Brussels sprouts with apple and pistachios. A great combo and one of our party who proclaimed she didn't like Brussels sprouts was won over. I had the veal and was very pleased with the flavors and presentation. My friends had the scallops and the lamb. All were pleased.
