It was exciting to see Pannikin come to town because of its history and whatnot, but unfortunately I will not be frequenting this place. The coffee price is outrageous for mediocre coffee. I ordered a caramel latte with almond milk and it cost $8.50. This is the most expensive coffee in town yet the milk and syrup isn't homemade. $1 extra for store bought flavor shot and $1.25 for almond milk. There are so many coffee shops in town with higher quality. I hope they either review their prices or make the coffee ingredients better. read more

I love my local Arizona coffee shops but hitting this one on vacation out here in Oceanside has me wanting to move right across the street. I've never had an iced caramel latte go so smoothly down my throat! I loved the modern decoration and atmosphere. My drink came out quickly and there was plenty of staff to handle the rush! Overall, an amazing and refreshing experience! read more

1st time at the Oside location. Very cute. Went super early. It was only the birista, some guy hanging out talking to her and me. Ordered a small coffee. Fresh and great flavor. I was sticker shocked..$4.00 for a reg small coffee. Dang, way over priced. Unfortunately, I won't be back. Too expensive!! read more

Had the Jimi Hendrix iced coffee. Didn't taste a lot of the espresso despite it having 4 shots, but still tasted yummy. It looks really pretty on the inside. Great spot to work on your laptop, the vibe is really chill. read more

My husband and I stumbled upon this place while wanting a relaxing day at the beach. We decided to stop by since it looked super cute, as soon as we walked in, we noticed the layout of the place which makes it very inviting and the only reason I personally am giving it a two star is because of decor, but we were immediately taken aback because of the girls at the counter. They were talking amongst themselves before they noticed us, which then they immediately stopped talking, did not great us, or even offer any words of welcoming into their establishment. They simply stopped talking and stared at us, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. The whole time we were looking over the menu, not one said a word to us or asked if we had any questions. When the transaction began, the girl taking the order had an extreme monotone that just continued to make me feel so out of place. While waiting for our order we also noticed that all of the girls were being so cold and unwelcoming demander that has left a sour taste in my mouth for this place and the workers. I don't know if I could give this place another try because of it. read more

Great coffee shop! Bigger than it looks from the outside. Solid place to work or catch up w friends. Seating inside and outside. Good selection of coffee and food and they know how to make their coffee! They also have some cool local merch inside. Friendly staff! Highly recommend. read more

very large space in the cafe. You can sit inside or outside, there are plenty of tables. Beautiful, unforgettable interior, with interesting decorative elements inside the coffee shop. The coffee is delicious, the pastries are varied. There is a food menu. cool music is playing. the staff is polite and friendly. read more

Like rude service? Come here! Ordered a large matcha latte and an espresso mocha on 9/22 at 11:03 AM, and the experience was extremely disappointing. My matcha latte was half-filled, mostly foam. But what really set me off was the cold, almost rude service. I try to support small businesses, but when I'm treated like I'm an inconvenience, it's hard to justify coming back. Not a "hello," no acknowledgment while I stood there waiting--nothing. If the staff is having a tough day, that's not my problem, and it shouldn't be taken out on paying customers. I should have just gone to Succulent Cafe down the street. I strongly suggest others consider doing the same. I really hope the owner takes a hard look at the three baristas up front because their attitudes were terrible. read more

My wife and I came to check this place out. It is a very cute place, sorta outdoor/rustic feel neat the beach within walking distance. Plenty of outdoor seating. Nice selection of food and drink. Exceptional staff and service! read more

On my first visit here, I experienced friendly service and a yummy cup of coffee in a lovely living-room-corner area. It was just what I needed at the time, so I was happy as could be. On the next visit I experienced friendly service service, outrageously good avocado toast and delicious frothy beverages. We had these to go so no enjoying the location itself. But it was enough to make me fall in love with the place. I've now been several more times to this coffee shop and every experience has been very positive. read more

Never been a fan of this place because the customer service was never good. They all have an attitude. Today I was craving an avocado toast and this place was near by so I came on in, the guy with the beard in the kitchen kept picking his nose and had a runny nose and kept wiping his nose with his fingers. I told the manager on the computer and she looked unbothered and said, "oh okay I'll let him know" I asked for a refund and she gave it to me never apologizing for the unsanitary handling of the food. A gem. Wonderful ambiance, superb staff, mouth-watering array of menu options. Happy to sit here for long stretches. (Too bad I live in CT!) read more

I was excited to visit Pannikin after reading reviews and hearing general buzz. The new location in Oceanside is a great old building. All good so far. But walked in and felt like I was invisible. Four people working there. No 'hi' or any acknowledgment. Unfriendly and unwelcoming. And not in a 'cool' way just in a 'can't be bothered' way. These guys need to visit Parlor donuts across the street and learn some customer service. read more

Very very very mid. The pastries are all dry (we tried lemon poppyseed, apple danish, blueberry scone and banana bread) - the last 2 were ok. The drip coffee tasted like water. The pros - berry iced tea and cold brew, cute outside area but won't be back - go anywhere else for coffee in oside this ain't it. read more

A little pricey but very nice vibe and location. Good was great. Nice plan for a Sunday afternoon study session.

Only had the coffee so I can comment on the food. This was my 3rd try but still struggling. Staff tripping over each other to bring mediocre service. Confusing customers with unclear processes. I won't return because they allow dogs. Go to any factory that processes food any see the cleanliness standards that must be maintained or be shut down. You won't see any animals service or otherwise. read more

Great Coffee and Great pastries! Love the decor and space to sit around and use the coffee shops WiFi. The bathroom was stocked with toilet paper and toilet seat had no stains or damage. I was impressed and highly recommend the coffee. I had the Mocha Americana and I was not impressed not because of quality just my stomach not agreeing the taste. I remembered the last time I had Mocha tea it upset my stomach and just forgot. So I'm not knocking the quality of drinks at all. I saw numerous customers just genuinely happy either sitting doing work or socializing enjoying the quality of their personalized drinks. I happily recommend this fine establishment when If you are local or visiting for a few days or more. I come here every mid morning to order the same or similar drinks that make my stomach hurt it's just my ability to choose what's not good for my gastrointestinal track. The quality going down is superb and highly recommend. I promise to add pictures next time and trust me there will be a next time. read more

Feels homey. Love the atmosphere; so glad they took over this wonderful old building. They have the knack.

Always love me some Pannikin. Doesn't matter what I have going on, when I want Pannikin muffins, I make the drive!! In the former Bunker house spot in Oceanside, this location is rich in history and the perfect spot to enjoy a latte or specialty tea outdoors or inside before you head to the beach!! The location recently opened and was limited on merch and my favorite items, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. read more

Beautiful building and great location but drinks are overpriced and disappointing. I paid more than $8 for a drink I ended up throwing out. Lots of other great spots around town where you can get a delicious coffee for less. read more

Not sure why they even serve food. I have never been able to order any cuz they close their kitchen an unreasonable hour before closing. I could see a half hour early but the kitchen doesn't look that big. This was my second attempt. The first time I got there a half hour before closing so no food. This time I got there one hour and three minutes before closing and nope, they decided to close the kitchen earlier. I guess it is back to Pier View Coffee down the street. I used to go to the Pannikin in La Jolla back in the late 70's and the Encinitas one in the 80's. Don't remember not being able to order food. read more

It's okay... mid coffee, mid customer service. I've worked in customer service a lot so I usually am pretty understanding of things, but service wasn't what I expected compared to the other Pannikin in Enci. read more

I like the new spot in Oceanside. I have had the spinach mushroom quiche which was delicious. The avocado toast also super tasty. Iced lattes are great. I only wish they would make their own syrups from scratch. read more

Didn't know this location existed. Super cute esthetic. Brings a little back in the day vibes. Coffee and service were excellent. Only disappointment is the parking options and availability. read more

Location, building and ambiance are cool. Unfortunately the coffee here is straight up disappointing. It seems as though they haven't put much effort into the coffee side of things and I'm not sure if they even have a barista on staff. I get the same drink everywhere, an iced americano black. It's a tough one to get wrong. But after spending $4.50 and getting one of the most bland, weak, watered down iced Americanos I've ever had I don't think I will order one here again. You can get better cups of coffee for less $ within in walking distance where they actually roast the beans in house and put much more care into their espresso. In a world where everything is getting more expensive and coffee shops are a dime a dozen you have to put a little more effort and care into the product to make yourself stand out and keep people coming back. Hopefully they will consider this for the future. read more
