There were specialty drinks so I wanted to try the Pistachio latte but they were out so we ended up trying the Left Coast latte, Vanilla Bean latte, a plain bagel and Lil Dippers. The lattes were wonderful. Smooth and tasty. The Lil Dippers (mini burritos) were pretty substantial and the plain bagel surprisingly was the best we've ever had at any coffee place. SO good! Great taste and perfect texture. It was unfortunate though that the cream cheese cup that comes with it didn't suffice. It wasn't at all enough for a good ratio. And to think that at one point my bagel was forgotten by the employees. I would've missed out! Overall, we're so glad we went, it was worth it!

When my order was finally ready, the staff repeatedly screamed my name across the café while I was in the middle of a conversation. It was bizarre, aggressive, and very off putting. To make matters worse, when I realized I had ordered the wrong sandwich, I also noticed the texture and color of the egg. It was extremely watery and gray on the inside! I tried to switch the sandwich out and the employees shrugged and said, "that's what you ordered." They weren't wrong, it was what I ordered, and I won't order from Skybound again. Between the slow service, uncomfortable interaction, poor food quality, and dismissive attitude from the staff, the entire experience left a bad impression. Unfortunately, Skybound missed the mark on every level. There are plenty of other coffee shops that offer better service, better food, and a more welcoming atmosphere. I won't be back.

The employees said, "We'll be there in a minute" and when a young lady employee came over eventually and said to me, "let's not waste any more napkins, I'll take care of this." That is insensitive and uncalled for. You should have some in-house training on how to treat customers with dignity and courtesy and not be so busniess-like and abrupt. I will continue to be a customer of La Costa Coffee Roasting, I'm just making a candid comment because it will make your business better.

I tried one of their summer specials, an Iced Banana Maple Latte with soy milk. I loved how bold and intense the flavor of the coffee was without it being overwhelming; however, I did not taste the banana or maple flavors at all. It just tasted like a straight up sweetened iced latte. Don't get me wrong, it's a great latte. But I guess I was just expecting to get more of the banana and maple flavors, especially since I was pretty excited about that flavor combination. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the ambiance was great. I love that they have their roasting machine right where people can observe and watch the process if they wanted to. They have ample tables and chairs indoor, and a few outdoor as well. I'm pretty sure I'll be coming back here. I'll probably try the Caramel Cream Latte next time.

It's a very small but cute place, a miniature of the bigger Pannikin off Highway 101 in Encinitas. There's a couple of small tables on its patio and more inside. It's a great place to meet a friend or two for coffee. I went 2 days in a row, Friday afternoon and mid-morning on Saturday and both times weren't busy at all. The baristas are warm & friendly, and gave us a choice of using ceramic cups and/or plates if dining in or to-go containers. Their coffee is one of the best around and they sell their coffee beans here. They also have various baked goods they make on site which I was excited for, because their scones are my absolute favorite, especially the raspberry.
