I noticed they serve Turkish coffee, which is pretty unique, but I ended up going with the Almond Cheese Latte. It was so fresh, smooth, and honestly one of the better lattes I've had in a while. The people running the shop were incredibly friendly and took the time to help me pick a drink without making me feel rushed. You can tell they really care about their customers and the quality of what they serve. It's always exciting to find a local coffee shop that's both welcoming and serves great coffee. Second visit to Sand Coffee Roasters on Oceanside Blvd in the industrial area--and it won't be my last. If you love real coffee, this place is a must. There are chairs and table outside where you can sit and drink the best coffee. The owner (who's also the barista) made me a simple pour-over black Costa Rican coffee, and wow--smooth, balanced, and absolutely worth the 12-minute drive. I could've gone to Starbucks, but why would I when I can support a local business doing it right? Bonus: he took the time to show me the future storefront he's opening in a couple of months. Mo the owner super chill guy. Fun conversationalist and you can tell he has a really big passion for his business. I definitely will be making this spot a regular on my circulation of cafes. Chill outdoor seating but he is moving from the trailer to the plaza right behind the trailer. He roasted his own beans and the Turkish coffee is definitely authentic and delicious. Sands Coffee Roaster in Oceanside was such a great find. I visited while staying with a friend and we ended up going every morning. It's basically a coffee cart, but the coffee is done really well. Everything tasted fresh, smooth, and flavorful. The outdoor seating area is really comfortable and has that relaxed coastal vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The barista and owner is very personable and friendly, which adds to the whole experience. There's also a Mexican breakfast truck that sets up nearby and the food from there was great. That'll be its own review, but together it made the whole spot feel like a little morning hangout. It's not exactly a walkable location, but there's plenty of parking and it's an easy stop. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you want good coffee and a nice place to sit and enjoy the Oceanside coastal atmosphere. read more

Love this cute café! Much needed in Oceanside and a welcome addition to the coffee scene. I had a dirty chai latte the first time and then a saffron and cardamom latte the second time and both were amazing. The staff and the owner have all been friendly and welcoming; they really curate a good vibe for all. I loved their little book case filled with literature on Palestinian culture and history and they have a few products by local SWANA makers. Highly recommend! I've been here a few times and the owner is super kind + friendly, always making sure the pup gets her pup cup first. We've tried the Spanish latte, tiramisu latte, and coconut latte. I've loved all of them but my favorite has been the coconut latte-- I feel like I'm back in Hawaii! Overall great service and coffee. Since it's a coffee roaster I ordered coffee! It's pour over so be patient. Choice of dark or medium roast. I opted for medium. Had a nice chat about...coffee with the barista. Coffee was smooth and had the right flavor notes. The beans are from Costa Rica, which I appreciate. They are waiting for permits to come through before doors open on the sit down place. It is currently a cart in the parking lot. Will return to try the Turkish coffee and sweet treat. read more

This coffee truck is perfect! It's located beside another food truck and a mechanics shop. Parking is limited. There was plenty of outdoor seating. It's a great place to hang out. I got their pastries today. It was average. I'm not sure if they made it or not. The chocolate chip croissant was good. The plain croissant was nothing special. Service was friendly. I heard that there was a new café in town, and I decided to check them out. Introducing Sands Coffee Roasters, located on Oceanside Boulevard and Camelot. Sands Coffee Roasters specializes in Turkish coffee and uses the traditional means of hot sand in order to brew the fresh coffee beans. It was very interesting, just viewing the process and having it explained to me and the beans are very rich and yet are not bitter. I'm not really a coffee Aficionado, but I can really appreciate the care & preparation into this drink and I also appreciate that they have alternative milk options. You can find this small-business gem on Oceanside Boulevard & Camelot Drive, in the Five Star Smog parking lot. They have a very cute outdoor dining-area with umbrella for shading that seats a few customers. The breeze that blows through the area is cooling and the only downside is the random traffic noise. They have a great menu selection that features: Espresso Americano Cappuccino Mocha Nitro Latté Shakerato Affogato Tai Tea Teas Mexican Chocolate I can also appreciate that they serve various sweets & pastries that are all locally sourced. I highly recommend this gem of a café if you appreciate good coffee & supporting small businesses. I also appreciate the fantastic price-points too! Everything is so affordable! I guess the only downside I can give this place is a lack of a restroom, but I believe that customers can ask the Smog Shop next door if there's an emergency. Sands Coffee Roasters is a cute little coffee truck in Oceanside with tons of great coffee and tea options. The barista was super friendly and got our big order done fast, even though she was the only one making the drinks. Definitely try the Crème Brûlée latte - it's got a perfect mix of nutty and sweet flavors. I'll be back to try more, especially since they have unique drinks like a Tiramisu Latte and a Peanut Butter and Strawberry Latte. I learned about this place on IG and it kept popping up so I had to try. How unique the set up is and even more so the menu offerings and warm welcome. There's a great breeze in this spot, lots of seating available with umbrellas, music bumping, taco truck next door. My unsweetened iced pistachio latte was such a treat and a perfectly cool pick me up on a warm Tuesday afternoon. Absolutely delicious and kind to my wallet at only $5.75. I have been curious about this newer spot and am so glad I made time to stop in. There were so many options which was a little overwhelming so I ended up getting an Iced Coffee. It was very good and had a nice flavor. The price seemed very fair which is great. I am not sure if there are different sizes but would be interested in a bigger option if possible. My only compliant is that there was SO much ice I could barley get my straw in. I usually always ask for light ice and did not this time unfortunately. Everything from a plain drip coffee to the cool drinks like Lavender Honey Latte is just amazing and he customizes to each person with a smile. I can speak about Sands Coffee Roasters from a personal and business perspective. Allow me to introduce myself - my name is Jen and I am the Owner of No More Boring Cakes (located in Vista). The owner of the coffee cart is Moe and he is one SPECTACULAR human! I came across his coffee cart about 4 months ago, just after he moved into this new spot (his cart was previously located in El Cajon). After just one visit, I knew this spot was different, and then one sip of the coffee and I knew I found a gem! Moe roasts his own beans at his location in Hillcrest and he concocts amazing flavors including things like: Turkish coffee with cardamon (made in a sand pit), Dubai chocolate lattes, chai with pistachio, saffron lattes, honey/sage/ lavender teas and this list goes on and on. Of course he has regular flavors on the menu, like my favorite white chocolate mochas. I am a little bit snobbish about my coffee and only patronize local business and let me just put it out there that the coffee is FANTASTIC. My friends and family say that I am now spoiled by this great tasting coffee! And I personally like being in a place with great energy, people and feel good about where my money is being spent. Having said all that, I also chose to invest in Moe's coffee cart not just as a customer. Along with helping him get established in Oceanside- we have redesigned the parking lot space adding bright yellow umbrellas, greenery, tables/chairs and a nice patio. I am so proud of how far he (we) have come in the last 4 months! I have a baking business and every Monday and Thursday morning I deliver 12 baked goods to Sands Coffee Roasters. But you can also find me sitting by the fire or soaking up the sun and enjoying a wonderful tasting drink and visiting with Moe, who has become a dear friend. Not just my friend, but a friend to many! So many people return and have become regulars. Now, don't get any ideas about comparing his place to Starbucks or the like. It is not fast and hard to get a quick cup of coffee - so please come patronize us when you have a few minutes to meander. Looking forward to seeing some new faces! There are banana cake with caramelized walnuts with a vanilla icing on hand and tomorrow morning I am delivering gingerbread cake with a vanilla bean sauce.
