After lunch in nearby La Costa Town Square, we wanted to end with some good coffee so we saw this place on the map and headed over. Located at the end of a strip mall, there was ample parking. Walking in, it wasn't busy at all on a Saturday around 12:30pm. It was nice & quiet. There's indoor seating as well as a couple of tables outside at the entrance. There's even a playpen for littles which is great. There's a good array of classic & sweet coffees to choose from and various pastries made in house. They also make a few breakfast & lunch items as well. We ordered a Latte with oat milk and the Midnight Mocha. Both our coffees were really good. Was worth the visit! read more

Decent coffee, solid pastry and food selection. Seating is tight but there are some tables outdoors. Minus two stars for really slow food service. The first time we came here we waited 25+ mins for our food for a table of four. I'm here now solo and it's been almost 20 mins and I still don't have my breakfast burrito (to go). Came here after hiking. My iced honey oat latte was delicious. California Breakfast Burrito could have been crispier on the outside, I was expecting it to be since it had grill marks. My friends ordered the Mediterranean Toast which was lackluster, however my other friend ordered the Santa Fe Bagel and she enjoyed it! The coffee shop is located in a plaza with a good size parking lot. The customer service was great. The shop has indoor and outdoor seating. The place is clean and bright. I had an Iced Latte and The Carlsbad Burrito which was served warm with a chipotle and buffalo sauces. If you aren't that spicy you can have it on the side. Very good and satisfying. Nice ambiance. This place is a hidden gem. I kind of forget that it's here and I need to remember to come here before going to a Starbucks or an another coffee shop. Everything has always been great here from the staff to the drinks. My go to is usually a Matcha but here it's going to be the mocha. It has a nice balance between bitterness and sweetness that I really like. It's not overpoweringly sweet like most mochas. If you're hungry, the breakfast burrito is great addition to your drink. Latte was very good! Burrito came with a side salsa which I believe is made in-house. Burrito components had avocado, eggs, cheese, bacon, and the hash brown. The burrito is freshly made in-house the back and then pressed in the panini presser. I personally like my hashbrowns a little more burnt. But the burrito was filling! I'd go here again. read more

Very cute coffee spot in La Costa! They have a location in San Marcos too, but this one looks like it's pretty new. Staff are super friendly and willing to answer questions. They've got food and drinks for breakfast and lunch. They have many non coffee selections like matcha and smoothies. Decor is sooo cute and the art is very well done. I got their seasonal rosemary citrus latte hot. It has a great rosemary flavor but it overpowers the citrus a little. The latte is still delicious though. I also grabbed a bag of their beans for home, so we'll see how their espresso pulls. They have an app where you can rack up rewards too! Such nice service! The staff members were incredibly genuine and kind. We had a pleasant time placing our orders and received our drinks within a minute or two of ordering. There are plenty of seating options inside and out! We also had live music while we were there, but not sure if that's all the time. Still was great to experience! Also there is plenty of parking all around so this place is very easy to get to. My friend ordered the iced maple latte and I ordered the iced caramel brûlée latte. Both of us had to have alternative milks as well. I absolutely loved my drink. Just the perfect balance of sweet but still being able to taste the coffee itself. We keep going here because my daughter goes to Giminy next door but the coffee is just not good. We have tried different kinds but they are all subpar. The cold brew is too acidic and not smooth, the hot coffee tasted like brewed mud. The food are just not good either. read more

The coffee and service are outstanding! This coffee shop in conveniently located iin the Sprouts and F45 shopping plaza.. Surprisingly, the shaded- peaceful ambiance, with modern patio furniture seating, makes social gatherings with my girlfriends warm and welcoming. This might have to be my new hangout coffee spot. My sister and I enjoyed artisan oat latte and Mexican mocha w/oat milk. They are both delicious and not too sweet for my taste buds. One of the things I like most is the patient and charming staff, spending time educating us on the menu. It's always a treat not to feel rushed and "have to know" what you want when you're in front of the line. I really wanted to like this place since it is right by the gym I frequently attend. It is very convenient to stop by and get coffee and food after working out. However, all my experiences have been very mediocre, given how expensive it is. The coffee is okay, but I expect better for the price. I prefer the coffee from Peet's to the choices here. The service is not bad, but it takes a long time to get your food order done even though the place looks empty The food is what gets the stars knocked out. I've tried almost all their breakfast burrito choices and have been disappointed. They are extremely skinny, with barely any egg, spinach, bacon, avocado, etc. I expect more for the price. The reason I've tried them all was to find at least one that was good value for the money, and sadly there was none. I received a coupon in the mail and wanted to give this local spot a try. The place is quaint and provides the local coffee shop ambiance feel. I ordered a large decaf iced americano, but did not realize that the 50% coupon was for a regular size. The barista who attended me pointed that out, so I requested to be charged the difference for a large. Another attendant over heard my request and immediately jump in a commented that the coupon was for a regular size only. It was clear that it was more important to stick with the coupon said as opposed to providing a good new customer experience from the staff at that moment. My husband and I split the raspberry scone and I don't think I've ever had a better scone in my life! The only bad thing I think about this place is you HAVE to buy something in order to use the wifi. Everywhere else is free wifi but this place isn't free. It has been cool to see Erin take over full ownership and rebrand the business into her Ascend dream. Coffee and food is great! I enjoyed an iced brown sugar coffee. I was overjoyed seeing again an old favorite - the breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, avocado, and chipotle sauce on an everything bagel. Absolutely the best breakfast sandwich. There are some changes to the original recipe but I still enjoyed it. They have some indoor & outdoor seating. Staff is kind & friendly. I'm not sure why or how this place has nearly 5 stars. My wife and I came here for breakfast and were disappointed. I had the breakfast chipotle burrito and, while it was tasty, it was small and severely lacking the avocado it advertised (see picture). At nearly $14, it was more expensive and probably half the size of a breakfast burrito at the local taco shop. My wife's breakfast tacos were unremarkable with very crumbly and dry scrambled eggs. We finished with a lemon muffin and it was borderline terrible. It was extremely dry and dense and hard to finish without a healthy drink of water to get it down. We didn't have coffee so maybe that is worthwhile but nothing we had was. read more
