It was so fresh, smooth, and honestly one of the better lattes I've had in a while. The people running the shop were incredibly friendly and took the time to help me pick a drink without making me feel rushed. You can tell they really care about their customers and the quality of what they serve. It's always exciting to find a local coffee shop that's both welcoming and serves great coffee. I'll definitely be back to try the Turkish coffee next time. Highly recommend!

There are chairs and table outside where you can sit and drink the best coffee. The owner (who's also the barista) made me a simple pour-over black Costa Rican coffee, and wow--smooth, balanced, and absolutely worth the 12-minute drive. I could've gone to Starbucks, but why would I when I can support a local business doing it right? Bonus: he took the time to show me the future storefront he's opening in a couple of months. For now, he's running it out of his truck--and honestly, that just adds to the charm. Good coffee. Good people. I'm in.

The hours on Yelp show them open only one morning a week, and their own web site suggests you call ahead to request a tasting or cupping session. I missed that part and found a locked door. At home, though, their beans make some really tasty coffee in our automated espresso machine. To get the best balance, I first coarsened the grind but ultimately reduced the brewing temp a bit. Definite notes of cocoa and dark chocolate. We buy online. Beans are shipped UPS with tracking. Online ordering from their web site may be the easiest way to find out what Coatl has to offer.

The lattes were wonderful. Smooth and tasty. The Lil Dippers (mini burritos) were pretty substantial and the plain bagel surprisingly was the best we've ever had at any coffee place. SO good! Great taste and perfect texture. It was unfortunate though that the cream cheese cup that comes with it didn't suffice. It wasn't at all enough for a good ratio. All our drinks were ordered with oat milk and everything we ordered was vegan friendly (I asked!). Our family really enjoyed the grab and go pistachio chia pudding! All chia pudding is vegan friendly and they had several flavors. I would have purchased more at the time if they were just a tad cheaper. I will need to go back for more! They also had several pastries. There was only one vegan option that I recall- a vegan poppyseed muffin. I didn't get to try it on these visits but would like to soon! We had a mishap with one of our drinks and they kindly made it right, which goes a long way in our book and guarantees a return visit. Thank you for that. Our youngest daughter enjoyed playing with the little kitchen and toy trucks. There is limited seating inside but more picnic style bench seating outside.
