**Visiting Riverside from San Diego Honestly, one word to describe this place: TRASH. The service was crappy and the food was okay but there was hair in it! I've been to Panera Bread multiple times at other locations. I've been to this location twice. The first time I came here I knew the lady at the cashier was lazy with taking our order. Being a Panera fanatic, I know how the questions are and everything. With my mac n cheese came a side of either an apple, bread, or chips. She didn't ask that question so if I was a newbie I would have automatically gotten what she inputted without asking. That's honestly terrible service if you're not even going to ask the customer they want as a side. That's like if you're at Applebee's or Buffalo Wild Wings or another establishment and they just automatically give everyone a Sprite because they're too lazy to take down your drink order. The lady also forgot to give me my drink or a cup to fill my drink with. I came here a second time because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and give people another chance. However, instead of ordering in person I used their app for iPhone. It was pretty easy to use the app. You set the pick up time and everything. Food was ready by the time I got there and it was still warm. But when I got back to my place to eat it there was a hair in it! Trust me, there was no way that was my hair or my partners hair. I love the closeness of this Panera to my house. The atmosphere is nice because it is generally quiet; it's a great place to study or have a meaningful chat with a friend or partner. I almost always order from the kiosk now--I can spend a longer time looking over the menu and you can customize your sandwiches with less hassle. It really is convenient and great for people who have social anxiety! The food is always average; I don't really come here for the food, but rather the atmosphere and the green tea papaya drink: this drink is freaking bombbbb. Idk how they made it so freaking good, but literally everyone at Panera can be seen with a cup of this drink. I sometimes go to Panera JUST for the drink LOL. Last time I came here, Boyfriend and I ordered the summer corn chowder for four people ($14.99) but this thing will not serve four people. Unless those four people have very small appetites or are 5 years old. The bread seemed like it was from the day before; it was very hard and dry.. but whatever, we just tossed the bread in the chowder and it softened enough. After my meal I went for a refill and a man that appeared to be the manager raised his voice at me and told me I can't serve my own drink, I was so embarrassed, I didn't see the sign that said we had to wait to be served. Usually excellent service on visit and bagels. This time not so much. In fact, this time they forgot to give us our complete bagels on about 4 of them, failed to seal the clear bagged bagels and upon removing other bagel bags, bagels fell out everywhere. All this after having to wait for the first time, 25 minutes for our simple Baker's Dozen order; reason: in my opinion, because cashier could have lent a hand to the order filler while she filled an extraordinarily large, individually wrapped bagel order ahead of us, rather than waiting around while a couple of customers casually walked in. Our order was not complicated or beyond her ability to fulfill. She could have had us out of there 20 minutes earlier. Not happy one bit with this visit in its entirety and seriously contemplating ever returning again. Totally unacceptable!! I was there with my 87 y/o father-in-law. We didn't need to be left standing there, and definitely didn't pay for an unfulfilled order! If this is a new crew, I seriously recommend changing it altogether! I honestly wish I could give this place a negative rating . I spent $150 on my order thru their app , placed it @ 6:00 pm since they offer delivery I was hoping to have it delivered by 7:30-8:00 pm . The food was getting delivered and it never arrived even tho on their app it stated that the order was completed . So I went down to the restaurant spoke to "shardanay" she then stated their was nothing they can do about it since they were closing in 20 MINUTES. so we demanded to the speak to someone above her . They ended up having to come in , only to give us the corporate office number . Which does not work by the way. Only for them to tell me I shouldn't have used post mates , when I didn't I used their app and they use post mates . And if post mates is unreliable that is an issue on their end . do not waste your time here , they have no sense of customer service . Dismissed my order. And left me empty handed . I was here once with my family (5 people total) and came here relatively early (~9:30am), but not at the crack of dawn when they just opened. I recall trying to order a soup but they said they were still heating it up and would take ~30 minutes before it was ready ... excellent choice of words, cashier, you could've used some words to make me feel like I wasn't just eating canned soup. After being let down, I opted for a breakfast sandwich that came with spinach and egg. We waited for a very long time for basic sandwiches that my whole family got. When it came out, it was the size of my palm and the presentation was not pleasing at all. Of all the Panera locations I've been to, this has to be the most disappointing. Also Corporate? This morning I went to Panera, Moreno Valley California, the attendant was a very rude person just taking my order, like if she is in a hurry and I'm bugging her. She resembled a nasty Sargent pushing his junior to his limits. When I complained about her manners and asked her to call her manager she insisted in her attitude. The manager came and the first thing she responded to me after I explained the situation with her employee, was that she never had problems with her. I explained my complain again but she insisted in her answer that "she didn't have a problem with her." She repeated this three times and I told her that she didn't value my complaint. She said, "yes I do-but I don't have a problem with her" Then I understood the real stem where everything starts. The rating isn't so much for the company, but for one of the employees. Now let me tell you that I'm always observant of the staff since I believe attitude is important. Everyone was alright and so was my food but I noticed one young man, who I believe his name tag said Omar. He had a little attitude with me. He also walked around like he owned the place. Being that i once worked in fast food management I could clearly tell that no matter how much he walked around as "royalty" Mr. Omar was obviously VERY inexperienced. But that wasn't what made me want to write this review. I saw that he could barely carry one tray without his wrist wiggling. I honestly thought it was going to snap. I used to carry up to three trays at a time and this young fellow was only carrying one. While he was cleaning up, he told another Co-worker who I believe her name was either Breanna or Brenda, to clean up her own plates and left her while still leaving his task unfinished. But the icing on the cake for me was that on multiple occasions I've seen young Omar crying on the job as if having a mental break-down. As I said, I used to work in food management, and I would NEVER hire someone who wouldn't be able to handle their job. They deliver! And orders can be ordered online! It was very convenient. My food arrived hot and before the estimated time given. When it's raining and cold outside you can't go wrong with the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich! To top it off I ended my meal with an almond croissant and was very tasty. As with other reviews, this location is small. Lines often go through the doors because the lobby is really small, however, the staff is great at opening up more registers as soon as they see it is crowded. There is inside and outside seating. Inside seating can be a little squished since it's such a small location. I am a huge fan of their cheese danish and usually get the half soup/ half salad combo. Not really a big fan of their frozen raspberry lemonade since it tasted a little watered down. I also love the freebies that come with their Panera club card. :0) read more

I placed a curbside pick up order due to the current pandemic. I placed the order an hour in advance, but they still managed to be 15 minutes late. I never expect much from their food aside from the bagels, so the poor quality, expensive price, and taste were expected. This was a choice from a friend, so I obliged. The portion for the family feast would never feed 4-6 people, especially since the baguette was missing from the meal and the large macaroni and cheese. I asked for plates and utensils for 6 people and only received 4, probably because they knew this would never feed 6 people. I mean, there were more plastic utensils than food! I tried calling the location to see if I could pick up the baguettes, but no one picked up and the phone disconnected. Emailed the website and received notification that someone would contact me, but that still has not happened 3 days later. So I am back to boycotting them. So much for supporting businesses during a pandemic. The salad was old and dry, reminiscent of a salad you would get from a discount superstore and definitely not family portion size with 4 tablespoons of dressing. Back on the banned list! read more

My husband and I usually "Avoid the line and order online". We like being able to call our order in, but the last two times we have gotten home only to find that our order was wrong. On the receipt it is correct, but the items in the bag did not follow. It is unfortunate since the whole reason for ordering in is to save time. We did not go back to get the correct items because it would be a waste of time. Hopefully Panera could work on this for the future. If you go for breakfast, I would recommend the Mediterranean Egg White Sandwich (Sun dried tomatoes, spinach, egg whites, provolone cheese). Great location, but small - it's kind of like an urban setup where the store is one long narrow slot. Lots of seating, but feels very crowded. This place will get packed once more people know it's open! Cashiers were very nice and friendly, staffing was attentive enough to be clearing dishes. The whole place is still clean and fresh! I hope they can keep it that way! And best of all, there's WAY more parking than the Riverside Plaza location (thanks in part to Buffalo Wild Wings, no doubt!), so if seating inside isn't a problem, it's going to be a real joy to come here. read more

Amazing service!!!! We were on our way from Texas back to Califonia, Decided to stop to eat a warm meal after such a long drive! Everything was perfectly delicious . But I also want to mention that we had our baby grandson that need a soup but as he is just starting to eat I asked the team if they could blend his soup with no doubt they said YES!! He ate it all.
