Let me start off by saying that I love CAVA. I've been to numerous locations over the years, and I've always enjoyed the food. I recently moved to this area, so this is now the closest location to me. Unfortunately, this location has been consistently disappointing. I've been here several times, and almost every visit I've had some sort of issue with the portions. I'm not asking for extra meat or anything that would significantly increase the cost of my meal. I'll simply ask for a little more rice or an extra scoop of a side such as corn etc, and 8 out of 10 times I get pushback from the staff. On one visit, I even mentioned that the Rancho location has never made me feel like I'm asking for too much when requesting a little more rice or a side. They provide reasonable portions without making customers feel uncomfortable. Here, the portions are consistently very small, and asking for a little extra often feels like an inconvenience to the employees. I also made the mistake of placing a pickup order once. The portions were even smaller than when ordering in person. Based on that experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering pickup from this location if you expect the same portion sizes you'd receive elsewhere. I still love CAVA as a brand, but this particular location has been consistently inconsistent with portions and customer service. I hope management addresses this because it doesn't reflect the experience I've had at other CAVA locations. read more

First time trying CAVA! Plenty of parking in the plaza and the inside is super spacious with outside seating as well. It is basically like Chipotle style where you can order down the line. Service is quite fast and I love that there is a build your own option since i'm so picky! I got the saffron rice, mixed greens, steak (extra charge so worth it though), Tzatziki sauce, broccoli, corn, pita crisps, pita, garlic dressing, and green sauce. The rice is so flavorful and everything paired so well together. The steak was a bit overcooked but other than that I really enjoyed it! I would definitely come back. read more

The food was pretty decent the chicken was cooked all the way through and had flavor. All of the condiments I get were available from the fiery broccoli to the cucumber and tomatoes. Everything appears to be freshly made. The only weird part was when I walked in initially nobody spoke and welcomed me in. Then a minute of awkward silence someone said I'll be right with you. Besides that I can't complain. The ambiance is kind of dead like I stated earlier when I walked in nobody spoke it took a few minutes to get a hello I'll be with you. Delicious and affordable. I tend to get the grain bowl with lentils for a bit of extra protein, but I tried the saffron rice recently and it was surprisingly flavorful. I would definitely recommend the bowls over wraps, though. Those fall apart really easily and drip sauce everywhere. Service is friendly, but this store gets pretty busy and I think they prioritize in-person orders over online ones. On the last few times I ordered on the app, my order took a fair bit longer to make than estimated. Store is decently clean, but again, really busy in there. Holy cow. This is the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. 10/10 you need to try it at least once. I'd heard from many people it's a Mediterranean version of Chipotle. And yes, while that's true, it's so much better, fresher, and tastier. My only hesitation is their Yelp didn't have enough photos of the menu... until now ;-) I've added photos of everything so you can plan before you arrive. Here's what we ordered: Spicy Chicken Avocado Pita - This was served with Harissa Honey Chicken. My husband devoured it. There were no leftovers, but I was able to sneak in a bite. I've always loved spicy food, but I had surgery a few years ago and can no longer tolerate spice. So this was delicious, but I wouldn't be able to order it for myself. 1x Build Your Own Bowl - This comes with a complimentary pita slice. I hate leftovers, but trust me when I say, this got ate. I can't wait to go back! Now that I have a better idea of all the ingredients, I'll be experimenting to build my perfect bowl. My only regret is not asking for the dressing on the side. Only because all the ingredients are flavorful and can stand on their own. I don't need dressing in every bite. Convenient location and clean interior. I've eaten here a few times and there's always ample seating, but I prefer not to because the seats are crazy hard and uncomfortable. Bathrooms require a code, and could use a little more attention but aren't too bad. Order in advance because they always take about 20 minutes to process online orders. The food is delicious, fresh, flavorful, weirdly affordable, and they offer many more options for custom bowls than competitors. There's complimentary sparkling water from the fountain, and seemingly no normal water. The grains bowl is a much better value than the greens bowl. You can even make it more macro friendly by getting lentils as your base! I have never seen a place like this offer a protein as if it were a carb. It's an insane value and so filling, as compared to salad bases. I used to just get salad bowls, but halfway through my meal I'd be out of greens and still have a ton of the other stuff left over. I feel that greens bowls should be filled up to the top and grains bowls up to the line, instead of both being filled up to the line. Getting lentils makes it so much more balanced. The bowls seem like they triple in weight. I just add greens at home and I can stretch the same portion out for 3-4 meals. read more

We ordered food on a Sunday afternoon. Today we decided to order for an online pick up. It was pretty busy when we arrived but the pick up wasn't too bad. I ordered the chicken + rice with super greens, roasted veggies and lemon herb dressing. The portions we received weren't equally put in. For instance, my bowl mainly consisted of supergreens and a few pieces of chicken. I barely had any rice or veggies. Although just a few, the veggies were either burnt or old. I couldn't tell which one but they were all black. I also asked to include the free pita bread which wasn't included in any of our five bowls. I double checked the receipt and that, too, says Free Pita as part of order but we didn't receive any. Not sure which part of the meal it was but I had a faint taste of bitterness. I love this cava. The service is usually pretty fast and the quality never suffers. I usually get a salad bowl with falafel, red pepper hummus, harissa and tzatziki, all the veggies, pita crisps and tahini. The falafel is always warm and crispy. The flavors continue to complement the ingredients in my bowl. It is definitely a favorite of mine to grab during lunch if I didn't bring anything to work. It lasts two meals and hits both times. This was my first and last time coming to Cava. I hope this is a franchise and other Cava locations are better. The staff was so rude when my party of three came in during lunch on a weekday. They didn't want to help us, as they were doing other tasks. I can't believe they rolled their eyes at the thought of helping customers. They used to do a military discount and the place was packed. They do not do military discount anymore. The restaurant was dead. Despite being dead, the restaurant was clean. My create your own bowl came out to about $15. Everything was fresh and customizable. It was delicious, but the service ruined it for me. $15 is pretty expensive for lunch, which is why I bring my own from home. I won't be coming back here because of the staff. read more

With all these build-to-order style restaurants it's somewhat difficult for me to get excited, but the opportunity to try the new Cava location in Moreno Valley somewhat convinced me this model can work. The line was moderately long when a friend and I walked in. Previously, she had enjoyed the Greek Salad, and I was going in willing to try whatever. Because the line was long enough I changed my mind a few times, but ultimately settled on the Harisa steak bowl, especially after seeing an employee chop up a freshly grilled steak and seeing it was an honest medium temperature. My turn came and I had the person helping me add black lentils and saffron rice to the bowl. Otherwise, I went with the "stock" recipe and it proved ample in quantity and quality. Overall, I'd return for sure. I'd like to try the falafel wrap, and the chicken Shawerma as well. Prices are reasonable, too. read more

I saw a blond lady who I'm assuming it might be the manager speaking very unprofessional and very disrespectful to a team member. It is very wrong to speak to anyone like that in that manner especially in public. It made things very unpleasant and gave the business leadership and work environment a bad image. The way management handles employees speaks volumes about a business and unfortunately this interaction left me with a bad impression of the business.
