If I were to describe Waba grill compared to other similar restaurants, I would say 90% rice and 10% protein. I don't know if rationing is going on maybe we're ready for a recession, but Waba is not my go to place I would avoid if you're looking for actual food to fill you up unless you like a lot of rice rather than protein stay away. read more

Management is the worst here! The manager Alma, she is so horrendous and foul to customers when they ask questions, she snaps back at staff and customers. I'm a regular here and all I do is observe, so I've noticed a lot of Nepotism, between certain staff members I might be an elderly woman but I hear their conversations I hear their side comments. Waba grill used to be my favorite restaurant to go to because it's fresh and healthy. But recently this location has lost their hope into making it a welcoming family restaurant. I love this place specifically. I've been to other WaBa grills but they just don't serve me as well as this one. I always order ahead, like 10min before I get there, and they've always had my food ready and still very hot in 10min. I was surprised to see that someone actually responded, and I did as they asked and emailed them on 10/11. As of today, 10/18, they have yet to respond. It's not a matter of getting a "free" bowl. I am perfectly fine paying for my food. It's the customer service or lack of that I received. The manager yelled to me from across the room, allowing all the patrons to hear our conversation. I will give a solid 3 stars to this location. There was nothing wrong, but they could all be friendlier. They don't greet anyone, they stare at you from behind the register and don't say much. It was $6.90 (including tax). All meat is charbroiled. The chicken is OK, but the beef is better! It was slightly burned around the edges which gave it that little flavor kick. The brown rice was cooked perfectly. I get more bang for my buck with brown rice - it's ultimately more filling because of its natural fiber. No extra charge for the brown rice. This place kinda reminds me of Flame Broiler, but the beef tastes better here. Carnewhores can't go wrong with the teriyaki beef bowls and plates here. This is Asian-fusion healthy eating - no oil is used in cooking. The same goes for no skin on chicken, no MSG (similar to Flame Broiler). For not using any oil, it sure is tasty.
