The first time I came here they gave me very little meat and I thought it was a one time mistake kind of a thing. So I decided to try it again and the same thing happened...the third and last time I ordered extra meat and they gave me even less meat than a regular bowl. The part that angers me is that I paid Extra for more meat yet they still gave me a small portion. Why even have that option? It's too bad that my gf likes this place Bc we will not be returning. Flame broiler has better prices and actually gives you meat!!! Avoid this place if you don't want to pay $9 for a bowl of rice. It's prices are on the upper end for teriyaki bowls considering their portion size. Flame broiler and Ono Hawaiian give you triple the protein for the same price. The pictures that Waba has uploaded onto Yelp do not reflect what your bowl will actually look like. She asked me to repeat my order 3 times which I dont mind because I want to get my order right since I have a picky eater at home. They called my number after 4 mins, excellent for the fast service. However, we got home and saw that they made our order both with brown rice and the chicken and meat looks like a kiddie portion. I went in during lunch hour for the first time, so I was very impressed with how quick my food was ready. I really liked that you can see it being made fresh in front of you. The prices are also very decent for how much food you get. I got the half and half bowl (chicken and beef) with brown rice and it was delicious! I usually don't review fast food or big chain restaurants, but I feel obligated to warn my fellow yelpers about this place after my dinner there tonight. I went around 7:30 pm and they were already putting chairs up and closing for the night despite the fact that they officially close at 9 pm, and there were still people sitting and eating inside. I've encountered this problem before at this Waba Grill location, so I'd suggest calling to make sure they're open before you show up. The early closing is the least of my complaints though. I went to this Waba Grill when it opened and it was pretty good. Unfortunately, it has seriously gone downhill. I ordered the steak bowl and took it to go. The majority of the steak was too tough to eat, and I had to spit out more than a couple pieces. I ordered green onions on top of my steak bowl and there were parts in there that should have been cut off. These issues could very well be a result of the employees working tonight, but that doesn't excuse the lack of quality control. I had been craving Waba Grill and was seriously unhappy with the food tonight. I probably won't be returning to this particular location. read more

The meat is good, there is fruit and veggies on the plate (if you count a single slice of cantaloupe and a handful of kale). This restaurant is situated in a small building of attached restaurants, so it shares its parking with them. The place looked pretty clean. Either I stepped in something sticky or the floor was sticky. The table we all sat at was a little sticky from teriyaki sauce as well. I walked like any other and I was helped by a cashier with great service and I asked for a tofu veg bowl with brown rice no cabbage with sauce. Once my order was taken i waited by the fountain and watched how they were cook my tofu. My order was done quickly and I couldn't help to taste the tofu, other places their tofu is hard. It was so good and I asked the cook for the name of the woman with the blue and he said Linda that was his manger and I said thank you. I'll be getting that again making sure she does my food lol.
