I am absolutely disgusted by my experience. My daughter had just recovered from a stomach illness and was finally feeling well enough to eat. She requested a sandwich, so I ordered one for her and a salad for myself. As she was about to take her very first bite, she noticed a bug on her sandwich. Thankfully, she saw it before putting any of the food in her mouth. What should have been a simple meal for a child recovering from being sick turned into a disturbing and upsetting experience. Finding a bug in food is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about sanitation, food handling, and quality control. The sight of it immediately ruined her appetite and left both of us disgusted. I have photos of the sandwich and the bug, and I am deeply disappointed that food in this condition was served to a customer. A restaurant should be a place where families can feel confident that their food is safe. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I hope management takes this matter seriously and addresses the issues that allowed this to happen. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

I visited this location of Panera three times in a two week period at the breakfast peek time, the first visit they sold out of souffle I ordered so I got a sandwich instead with a fruit cup. Second visit I ordered souffle and cup of fruit, they didn't have any made. My third visit when I paid for a souffle and fruit cup and I was told they didn't have any souffle and it would be 20 minutes. They asked if I wanted the fruit I told the manager total refund. I said it's not an excuse that if an item is on the menu it needs to be ready to serve. She made an excuse that they had one oven, and she was doing her best. Her best would have been look at what is cooked and when it looks low cook more, I wasn't going to wait 20 minutes. The second visit I found the table with something sticky and called Corporate they were sending me a ecard that I never got. The third time I called customer service again they were sending me another ecard I have not received either. I won't eat there anymore. Wasn't my favorite place. Decided to try this Panera Bread because the last time I went to the one closer to to me the coffee was cold and taste terrible. This location was just as bad. Using the kiosk was a nightmare but one of the workers came over to help but it took 20 minutes to place the order. After placing the order it took a long time before it came up on the screen that it was ready. I ordered the chipotle chicken avocado sandwich, it was warm but it was not good and not what I expected. I didn't like the bread the sandwich was made with. To top things off the coffee was ice cold. When I told one of the workers that the coffee was cold, she said that the cashier takes care of the coffee. When I told the cashier that the coffee was cold, she came over and asked which one I wanted and said they have a microwave! I said to her that I did not want microwave coffee. So she said she had a fresh pot made and she went to get it and changed out the one I wanted which was piping hot. I had ordered food for the other people with me but by the time I got my food they were almost finished eating when I got to the table. Their order was messed up, they eating the sandwich that the other person had ordered. Their order bread looked unappetizing. The bread was not toasted, one of the ladies said the bread was stale. We decided to have the rest of the food wrapped to go. I only dranked some coffee and had my sandwich wrapped to go. When I got home, I had potato chips instead of the apple I ordered. The chocolate chip cookie was good. I like Panera bread but the last few times I went there the food was not good. Somehow the food has changed and it does not taste the same. Probably will not be going to Panera bread anytime soon. I have ordered food from Panera multiple times during the past few years. It normally goes well. But today's $55 order was particularly bad. It was an hour late. (Hey, I understand things happen. I was told by the delivery driver there was an entire swim team in the restaurant and it took forever to get my food.) I opened my food and my wife's salad and cookie weren't there. (That sucks, but, whatever, I'll go out and get her something else and they can just credit my account.) Nope. I ordered through the Panera website instead of Doordash, so my option was to call the store...where no one picked up. So, I waited an hour and tried again. Still, no one would pick up. This is infuriating and eventually made me wonder why I am putting up with this sort of service. So, for the low price of a $15 salad and cookie, I just won't order from them anymore. I dont do reviews but I used to love this location for about a decade up until recently, so I think I need to mention a few things. tall blonde dude with glasses and tall blonde girl with glasses need to put their hair up! That long unkept blonde hair keeps getting in my food. I think the hygiene of the workers says a lot about how the food is gonna be. half the staff doesnt wear an apron and the other half dont wear hats. Male manager always seems to be on the phone or just standing around in front of the pick up counter blocking customers. The inside is typically well kept with the short brunette buss girl always taking laps around the dining area, has nice seating, and relatively friendly cashiers, besides the young woman at the front without teeth that just shouts at me saying that someone will come around to help me whenever I am waiting at the front for a cashier. I hate to make reviews or complain but I hate to see one of my favorite places get worse over time. With that being said whenever I need something theres rarely any hesitation from the staff. I gave Panera another try and my experience was much better. My order was simpler, however. I ordered a bowl of the homestyle chicken noodle soup with a French baguette as my side. The soup was piping hot and delicious and the bread was fresh. I was much happier with this visit than my previous one. Ordered online because Panera does make a good, quick breakfast sandwich. However, this location seriously struggles to read an order ticket. I order an EGG & CHEESE, always, and this is the second time I've gotten bacon on my sandwich. I do not eat pork because it makes me sick so I actually DO NOT want bacon. I pay less money for an egg and cheese bagel sandwich. So, wouldn't it actually be more cost efficient to not give out free bacon on a regular basis? I ordered 2 sandwiches a few days ago; the deli ham sandwich and the Napa almond chicken salad. I've ordered both of these sandwiches several times and they were both very good. On this visit, however, the deli ham was good but the "chicken salad" sandwich was a huge disappointment. It is advertised as having chunks of chicken, diced celery, red grapes -sliced,toasted almonds, tomatoes, greens and special dressing. My sandwich had a few sliced pieces of chicken that looked like they were bound for the trash can and there were maybe 8 small ragged pieces. I did get the greens, and the tomatoes. I did not get the celery, the sliced red grapes, the toasted almonds or the special sauce. It was definitely not a $9.89 sandwich. I'm not sure if it's a matter of retraining or if the person was having a really bad day or someone just didnt care enough to do a good job. Call me a terrible person for not patronizing all the non-chain coffee places and I'll just hang my head and agree, but sometimes... I can't help it. Panera reliably makes my no-foam latte with speed and charm. It's never bitter or burnt or cold, they never accidentally put weird syrups in it unlike certain other places that can't grasp I really do just want a -plain- hot latte... I generally like the food if i find myself in desperate need of noms, the prices are reasonable and the staff cheery. I -cannot- fathom how my Panera rewards card works though... or... maybe doesn't. This Panera bread by far is such a disappointment. We love Panera bread and attend quite frequently. As I sat there watch and heard how this particular place fell apart with the cooks loosing tickets and such. The wait time was horrible, the Place looked like a pigs pen, the manager was on his phone for a while the trash can in the kitchen was overflowing (manager stood right next to it) the napkin dispensers where not filled, dishes we where served on where dirty, and the icing on the cake was the bone found in my chicken melt. As I sat DIRECTLY in front of the pick up counter, I quietly waited for my chicken ceasar salad no croutons. Ten, then fifteen, all of a sudden 25 minutes had passed and still no salad. Next thing you know, the disgruntled line cook makes a nasty comment about how she "didn't give a bleep about the bleeping salad". I then decided to walk up and check where my salad was. my girlfriend had gotten the grilled mac n cheese sandwich with chips and a cup of chicken noodle soup with a french baguette. she ordered in advance on the app and when we arrived it said it was done. unfortunately it was not we had to wait about 5 minutes longer than anticipated, which isn't too bad but not ideal. the grilled mac n cheese sandwich tasted phenomenal it was very cheesy and good. The chicken noodle soup was nice and warm but the carrots had not been cooked all the way. Other than that the soup was good. the french baguette was cold not freshly toasted and was an end piece of-course thats just my preference i don't like the end piece but the bread itself was decent nothing to complain about or to praise. it has its ups and downs but not really much to hate about or to praise about so i feel a 3 star is best. read more

When this place first opened a few years ago, I would have given it 5 stars, but unfortunately it has declined to the point that I now go elsewhere. The biggest fault is their crappy coffee which at the beginning was an excellent brew, but somewhere along the way they changed brands to an inferior quality which is reminiscent to what comes out of my dishwasher, the darker roast is the same but darker roasted. While we're talking coffee, which incidentally is the main reason I go to any coffee shop, I expect value for my coffee experience not the twenty cent increase four months ago $1.79 for crappy drip. I do like their sandwiches, but even these have increased in price while shrinking in size. Atmosphere is always good and service is always fast and efficient - their redeeming quality is the superb bread. This particular Panera location is already showing signs of wear and tear and lacks attention to cleanliness especially in the restrooms. read more

As a regular Panera patron who usually eats at Panera once a week at minimum, I feel confident in knowing what to expect from these stores. I typically eat at the Staples Mill or Stony Point locations, but today I was closer to the Midlothian one, so I stopped in. I ordered the modern Greek quinoa salad, which I eat often. The portions here are about half the size of other locations. I asked the waiter if I had accidentally ordered the half size salad rather than the full and she assured me this was the full size. Just be aware if you are ordering here that if you would like to actually receive a full size salad, you will need to order "extra" everything that it comes with so that your food will be the correct portion. read more
