We went this Firehouse Subs location yesterday. We were getting sandwiches to go. Unfortunately we were unable to complete our order using the kiosk and couldn't order at the counter as the employees were ignoring those already standing there. We wanted a medium hook and ladder, kiosk only offered the choice of small. We also wanted a large Italian. While there was an option for large the option for sandwich only was not available to select. We left and went elsewhere for lunch. Our recommendation is to skip this location. read more

I used to be a big fan of Firehouse, though as their often-empty store conveys, they just aren't that big of a draw anymore. First and foremost, like most places, their prices have skyrocketed without much to show for it: small sandwich portion sizes and overpriced chips, par for the course for most big big sandwich joints these days. My sandwich was decent but frankly the only reason I left satisfied to any degree was that I had an app coupon to use; I would have felt absolutely fleeced if I had paid full price. Service is pretty unenthusiastic, and I get it, who is excited to be working in quick-service food? That said, many locations are friendlier, and Firehouse seems to be another victim of the competitive marketplace for hiring good staff. The one standout nice thing about this location is the tables out back, which are great to hang out at on nice days. It's a shared pavilion but so long as you come at a non-peak dinner time it is still relatively quiet. I may still return if decent app coupons come my way, but Firehouse these days is always at least three or four spots down my list of sandwich spots to frequent. They have fallen on hard times for sure. Overall: 2.5 stars ---- Pros: - Sandwiches are admittedly still good, hard to beat a good sandwich with nice sauces. - Seating in the back area is very nice on pretty days. - Good amount of easy parking. - App coupons make the value proposition a bit better... I ordered large Club sub combo via DoorDash. I received large soggy sub, no pickle, no chips and wrong drink. I ended up driving to store to correct my order. I received a pickle, a bag of chips of my choice and a fountain drink. I wasn't happy that I had to take off work to go by the store to correct my order. I order from this location on a regular basis also was disappointed that my order was wrong. Staff explained they have received several large orders the day before and their supplies were very low. I wished that the store was able to contact Door Dash or myself to advise that changes were necessary due to lack of supplies. read more

This was my 2nd Visit as my last was over a year ago. I really like Sandwiches; especially Subs. However, I like GOOD subs. When you walk into Firehouse, it is dedicated to the Firemen & women. The first thing I notice was the Huge selection of Hot Sauces for you to try. They have labels with numbers, 1 to 10, with 10 being the Hottest. At least this gives you some idea as to where your level of Heat is, as you can ruin your food if you put something on it which is more hotter than you can eat... Since, I am a TRUE "Pepper Head"; I like heat, so I went for 8. I ordered the Steak & Cheese. It came with Fried Onions, peppers and Mushrooms with Provolone Cheese melted. I had the Combo which gave me Chips and a drink as well... Also, they have a Fountain Machine for your drinks. I could mix a Raspberry Coke up for myself, which was NOT bad to say the least. That was a First... The Sub was very good, but small in size. I wish they looked like the photo from which you ordered as it seems like they put ONLY half of what shows in the photo. Usually when I go into a Sub Shop, I end up taking half of it home, however here.... a 8" Sub was the meal. I am glad I had the Chips. Now I know why I have not been in a while... It brought back memories of my first visit and I realized, the subs are smaller than most Sub Shops. The people who work there are extremely friendly and the place is really nice and clean.... however, it may be a while again before I return as I believe in getting a good Value Meal for what you pay... read more

So look, I LOVE the Firehouse subs!!!! And with a grain of salt, I need to give these guys some feedback. First, I placed an order online, for pickup. I ordered the "Chicken Gyro" sub... And I tempered my expectations of a Gyro knowing this is a sub place... Not only did I have to literally pick my bag up from underneath a handful of other bags, but this is NOTHING REMOTELY CLOSE TO A GYRO!!!! I just wasted $16.00 on a sub that I'll never eat. My kids' favorite place for the subs and the crazy coke machine (they were one of the first ones to have it). But if you want a decent toasted (or not) sub at a fair price, you could do a lot worse. I like the New York Steamer, but why oh why are we ok putting mayonnaise on all of our subs just to call it "fully involved?" I worked at a deli in Brooklyn, and anyone who wanted mayo on a corned beef or pastrami had to put it on themselves, I wouldn't do it. Mustard, of course, but not mayo, please! Oh well, to each his own. And if you like hot sauces, they've got a whole shelf full of sauces to choose from to enhance (or destroy) the flavor of your sandwich. The service is OK usually, early enthusiasm when the place opened has drifted into complacency now that they've survived the recession (the place next door to them has changed at least five times since they've opened). This place is a good choice if you are craving a sandwich. I tend to order the medium Firehouse Hero sub but also enjoy the Hook & Ladder. The service is always fast and friendly. I like filling out the survey so I can get a medium drink for free and there is an app that you earn points for to get rewards. There is always the opportunity to earn double points on Mondays. I will keep coming back for the sub as this is another nice option for that. read more

Visiting the area from N. VA and decided to come here for dinner; it was my first time eating at Firehouse. I must however admit that I was not impressed with the service and food. I ordered a large steak & cheese sub, the meat was very cold and hardly any cheese. It was certainly large and very filling but that's because I was starving and wanted something quick. I only asked for my sub to be made with mushrooms, oil, vinegar, mayo, and onions on wheat bread. This was clearly stated on my receipt as well but for some reason I tasted hot pepper and saw big pieces of green pepper; certainly didn't ask for these items. The cashier was also very, very unhelpful. My advice to the management is that proper training of young folks working here wouldn't such a bad idea, do it. I think there's great potential here for your business but I am certainly not returning here if or when I visit the area again. Perhaps, other locations might be different but oh well... read more
