Came in for a breakfast sandwich on a weekday morning. They weren't busy at all when I got there and the lady behind the counter suggested the BBLT, which I ordered. It came out beautifully made and it tasted amazing! Definitely made with fresh ingredients, including a thick, beautifully scrambled egg! The coffee was great too. I'd definitely return!

I met a friend here for lunch. Not crowded which was concerning. The staff was pleasant enough but seemed uninterested. The food was good but not great. Clean inside.

Just moved around here!! All I can truthfully say is FIRE to the service, packaging & FOOD ‼ Everything was absolutely amazing I got a stack of banana foster pancakes (which were so soft and buttery) I left no crumbs.... I also got scrambled eggs with American cheese and chicken patties AMAZING & worth every $ would definitely recommend!! They also have a drive through so if you're on the run and want great quality breakfast this place is it! Definitely coming back!! Thank you

Turkey Avocado Cobb salad

Can always count on Corner Bakery for the best comfort food. I enjoyed a Chicken Pomodori panini with a cup of tomato basil soup. My husband wanted something a little healthier and opted for the turkey avocado Cobb salad. It only took about 5 minutes for our order to be brought out to our table. The restaurant was very clean and not busy when we were there, so plenty of seating. I like being able to find a booth in the corner. Wish there were more Corner Bakeries in the Richmond area... would love to see one in the Ashland area.

I was sooo excited to see Corner Bakery!!! I haven't met a CB or a meal here I do not like!! I was a little heartbroken to see the one closest to my office close but like they say when one door closes another one opens!! In this case is was finding one in the area!! With so many new items on the menu since I last saw it, I definitely had to get some pasta, since a good sandwich is always a good standby choice. We all got something different so we could try each other's dishes, which turned out be a great idea!!! Everything was delicious!! Pasta was perfectly executed and they were generous with all the ingredients down to the sauce!!! Customer service was up to par too!!! We were given a number, meals were delivered to the table and once you are finished they will clear your plates as well! Anddd after all that, please save room for dessert!!!! The pecan bar tasted like an upgraded version of a pecan pie in square form with that ooey goey center!!! The lemon bar was lemony delicious, not too sweet, not too tart and tasted perfectly balanced on the taste buds!! The cinnamon roll was the star because even on a reheat it was still killer!! Last but not least, they have a drive thru too!!

We stopped in here to get a couple of sandwiches to go. A turkey sandwich and a turkey panini. The service was quick and the sandwiches were good. They appeared to have a large breakfast menu, but we did not get anything from it. There is plenty of parking and it is right off of Broad St, so it has easy access.

So this is my third time dining at the CBC and I will say for the most part this experience was by far better than the two prior. I had a BOGO coupon on entrées and beings my flexitarian daughter s now vegetarian this seemed like a good option. She had the pick two mozzarella and basil sandwich with a cup of tomato soup with a side Caesar salad (the lettuce was weird but dressing was good). She was thoroughly pleased overall with her meal. I also had the pick two with half sandwich, loaded baked potato soup and side salad with vinaigrette. Two of the three were pretty good and though my sandwich was flavorful it was lacking meat and toppings. This has happened before closer to the grand opening a few years back hence me staying away. We will see about a follow up visit.

Great place for a weekend meals, especially Sunday brunch. The service is usually pretty good here, even when they are busy. And, since it's a casual dine in there's no expectation of tipping. The Morning Commuter is great; crispy croissant. Their scrambled eggs are pretty good. The bacon is nicely cooked. Good selection of coffee and flavored ice teas. And, if you sign up for their club, you get some pretty good coupons.

Went here again just a few days ago and was not disappointed. These folks really are the sweetest folks. Everyone was kind, and even when the cashier forgot to give me the little number to put up at my table so my food runner knew where to go, another employee came out and checked my number shortly after I sat down, realizing that I was missing the number. The portions are perfect, even a bit more than I expected. I left with a happy full stomach at the end of breakfast.

If Panera and Baker's Crust got married and had a baby, you'd have Corner Bakery. Walk up counter service, you place you order, they give you a number, then deliver your food to your table. It's a pretty efficient system if you don't mind getting your own coffee and drinks. The bakery case looked tasty. Not necessarily homemade, but good nonetheless. Although they did advertise handmade Pop tartish pies which I've got to try. The food was fair! Average eggs and bacon, decent pancakes, and good potatoes. I ordered a side of avocado and the serving was tiny and a little too ripe for my taste (brownish)... They serve Might Leaf tea and it was aromatic and soothing. Some of my friends had the 1/2 sandwich or panini with a salad (like the pick 2) and they raved about them. So lunch may be better than the breakfast. The service was pleasant and it was a tidy establishment, it just didn't blow me away. I'd go back if someone suggested it, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Veggie scramble with potatoes

This cute little eatery is the place where people gather to relax, read a paper, share a cup of coffee with friends or get some work done. I decided to pop in for breakfast, coffee and some much needed alone time. CB has a pretty expansive breakfast selection so I decided to order the veggie Scramble and a Turtle mocha cappuccino. My food came out quickly, piping hot and flavorless. At first I thought may I burned my taste buds off because my hangryness got the best of me and I decided to consume my food despite how hot it was. After letting the food cool down I gave it another go and still nothing but a mouthful of unflavored eggs and potatoes. I took a sip of my cappuccino and got a mouthful of hot chocolate. I couldn't taste any of the caffeine. Overall the food was mediocre, the service was great and the restaurant was sparkling clean!!

Receipt of previous order

Ugh! I've been coming to this location since they opened. They supposedly offer their food "made to order", however, that is not the case. I like their bacon avocado egg bowl without tomatoes because it's not carb heavy. And since it's supposed to be "made to order" I could get this food item without tomatoes, right? Not the case, according to their manager, Molly. Even after showing a previous receipt of this food item with NO tomatoes, she tried to explain that they prep all their food toppings together and add them to the eggs, to make morning production easier and faster. While I get that, that's not "made to order". It's lazy and inconsistent customer service. I guess I will find another location to order a non-carb heavy breakfast because this is no longer it for me! Your "made to order" and "fresh" descriptions are misleading! Highly disappointed!

And I'm…read moresaying this as someone who grew up on Turkish coffee in Palestine and Jordan, and searched for the real thing across countless cafes in the States. The search is over. The coffee here isn't just good -- it's correct. The grind, the heat, the cardamom -- everything is dialed in with the kind of care you only get from people carrying a tradition, not following a recipe. The basbusa is outstanding -- house-made, fresh, with that perfect syrup-to-semolina balance so many places get wrong. Best I've had in years. Can't wait to try their kunafa next. What really sets Fairuz apart is the atmosphere. This is a family-owned spot and you feel it the second you walk in. The hospitality is genuine -- that "sit down, you're home now" energy you can't manufacture. If you're Middle Eastern and homesick, come here. If you've never had real Turkish coffee, come here. If you just want somewhere that feels human and unhurried -- come here. Fairuz didn't just meet my standards. It raised them.

Husband got a double espresso and I ordered an Americano. His was in a cute cup, but mine was in a to-go cup with a lid. Since we were sitting in, I would have preferred a nice mug. We ordered a few pastries to bring home. I presume it was the owner working and he was very welcoming. He was cleaning the entire time (9am ish). On the positive, the place looks spotless. I did feel it was a little odd to mop while open and in the morning. The chocolate pastry in this picture was 10/10 for me, so good! It had so much flavor and texture with chocolate, pistachio and maybe some caramel. Would definitely go back, particularly to get items to take home.

My wife and I decided to stop in for brunch because we frequent this establishment when we're home so why not grab something when we're away from home?. We walked in and were greeted and seated immediately. That was a great entrance experience. But after that we don't know what went wrong!. The restaurant was not busy at all when compared to the location by our home, this location is larger in square footage and there was a lot of empty tables and plenty of employees present so I'm not sure why the service was so slow!. Once we were seated it we sat there about 10 minutes before someone actually came to our table. My wife and I ordered coffee to begin with, we probably should've ordered our food too because it took another 10 minutes to come back and take our food order, and like I stated earlier in the review the restaurant was not busy at all.. Once we ordered and the food came out my potatoes were burnt and undercooked, so we asked the waiter to bring us some more. Wouldn't you know it, the next order came out burnt too, almost identical to the first order of potatoes. Do my question is why would he bring that second order out to us? I would return because maybe they were having issues somewhere today.

I decided to hurriedly pull into the corner of the shopping strip with a sign that said Stella's grocery in hopes that I could pick up something to have for lunch later. The interior was bright and I was greeted by smiling faces. The store was small but utilized the space in a tremendous way. There was a small seating area, floor to ceiling coolers and refrigerated areas filled with pre-made lunches and dinners, along with unique beverage items (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and the shelves were adorned with fun snacks that looked pretty healthy (trail mix, dried fruits, nuts, chips and much more). Not only was this store filled to the brim with grocery items they also serve coffee and baked goods. I got a Tuscan farro salad with chicken for my lunch and couldn't help myself and ordered their rosemary brown sugar latte. The cashier/barista at the counter was very nice and walked me through their size options. She was very patient and understanding when I shared that it was my first time there. They even had a variety of milk options including oat and soy milk. I walked out feeling so much better than when I walked in, I thought my newfound positivity couldn't grow anymore until I took my first sip of my latte. It was amazing! The rosemary flavor is so subtle but added something very unique to my beverage. I was instantly warmed through and through. I will definitely go back for coffee and for an occasional replacement for a forgotten lunch. A good cup of coffee with a side of amazing customer service really brightened my morning and I think that is worthy of a great review and reccomendation!
