So happy to see Great Harvest Bread Cafe' has reopened! It is also a part of Europa Bread Co as well! Employees are friendly and coffee is great!

Best ever loaded Bacon and Ham on fresh sourdough bread, made daily.

While you drop off your kids for school come in and see Susan and Karen. They are cranking out an amazing hand made breakfast feast for your tastebuds! Pastries? They got em! Fresh bread loaves or sliced? They got it all! Fresh made breakfast sandwiches? They have those too! Get your day started right at the best kept secret in Midlothian.

First of all, we used to visit the Great Harvest location in Annapolis, MD on a weekly basis. We loved that place. Today, cruising around Richmond, we were really excited to see that there was a Great Harvest Bread company CAFE! We learned from the very knowledgeable fellow who took our order that this is the first corporate-owned store! The rest are all franchised. While we waited for our ordered, we perused the fresh breads available for purchase. I pointed out one that sounded fantastic, but they were out. A young lady overheard me, poked her head around a rack and said conspiratorially, "They JUST came out and need to cool before we slice them, but if you want one unsliced, I can make that happen for you!" They were unfortunately out of bacon when we showed up for a late breakfast, so we had to pivot a bit. I ordered a Classic Ham: ham, egg, and cheddar on whole wheat bread... it was AMAZING! Seriously, probably the best sandwich of its kind that I've ever had. My wife ordered a roast beef sandwich, which she said was a bit fatty, but it had great flavor. As we were leaving with our order, the lady who made it asked if my daughter could have a treat, which I appreciated. She gave her a cookie as big as my head! My daughter's eyes lit up. Despite being out of one of our favorite things, we had an absolutely perfect experience today. The level of customer service that we experienced today is almost nonexistent in today's world, and it's much appreciated. We will ABSOLUTELY be back!

    Best Ever BLT Sandwich

Best Ever BLT Sandwich is a misnomer. It's a $9.00 sandwich with a thin sliver of tomato, 1 piece of lettuce, two slices of thin bacon and the thinnest possible slice of wheat bread. This is not a 9.00 sandwich. Will not be returning.

This is a very calm and cute cafe. They have freshly baked bread and other bakery treats like scones and muffins. They also server espresso drinks and coffee. I got the kickstart breakfast sandwich a blue berry scone, and an americano. The portions are very good for the price, I had left overs and was happy to enjoy them later. The flavor and quality of the food was also very good. The service was amazing as well. the people working were very nice and quick with their service. Thank you :)

We love this place. Wonderfully fresh and flavorful. I will travel for their Nissua. Their other breads are also amazing.

Calming spot to grab a treat, get some work done/journal, or catch up with friends in an aesthetic and modern cafe. Ordered the paradise tea with mango and avocado. I loved the textures and layers of flavors. The drink was filling and lasted me a while, not watery but refreshing. The mango tasted fresh and avocado creamy. I haven't tried the pastries at this location, but have at their other Richmond cafe. Great cakes and buns made fresh in-house. Easy to find parking at the lot outside. Service is pretty quick.

The ambiance was clean and orderly. Upon entering, you grab a serving tray lined with parchment and some tongs. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

It was buttery and toasted to perfection. The drink menu is extensive with something for everyone, they also have a variety of locally baked pastries/goods for sale. In addition to my sandwich I got the lavender lemonade lotus drink and a red velvet cake pop. All delicious! The staff was very friendly and even answered my questions about how the open studio worked as I ordered. I will definitely be back to paint something fun and maybe indulge my inner child with another grilled cheese!
