I'm in love with the lox bagels at Julio's!! Their bagels taste so fresh and they don't skimp out on the everything season. Their coffee is so good since they get their beans local from Recluse. They have a few seats inside by the windows and outside, but I usually just take out. Definitely my go-to bagel place when I have a free morning!

Oh absolutely yes. This place is so cute and quaint with such a pretty interior. I ordered online, and the pickup was super quick and easy. I got a gluten free bagel with some protein and the jalapeño cream cheese, and it was truly a delight. I'm going to have to work hard at resisting ordering breakfast from here daily now that I know how tasty it is!

I really really really wanted to love this place, but it fell slightly short of what I was expecting . I absolutely love the addition of a new breakfast/coffee spot on Brookland Park Blvd. but this wasn't my favorite bagel sandwich so my search for best bagel sandwich in Richmond continues. I ordered my bagel ahead of time on their website which was very easy to use and ready when expected. I ordered a small iced vanilla latte at the counter. The staff were friendly and the inside of the shop is very cute. The bagel was good and all ingredients were fresh, it just didn't hit like I wanted it to. The latte was great! Would definitely come back for another coffee. Next time I'd like to try a bagel with their jalapeño cream cheese. Overall the bagel was good, not bad by any means. A small latte and bagel sandwich ran me about $21. There is plenty of street parking, and outdoor seating. I'll definitely be back to give the food another try!

These are my new favorite bagels in richmond! Absolutely delicious! I got the salt bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and it was amazing! The interior is adorable and the staff is very friendly! 10/10 recommend!

Love that Northside has a bagel shop. It's still fairly new and has a healthy customer base. Only a few seats inside for enjoying your bagel and coffee. Most take theirs to go. Lots of standing around inside waiting in line. Sometimes outside, too depending on when you go. Try to go before 10 to avoid the line on weekends. My sausage, egg and cheese on everything was good enough, but didn't blow me away.

Let the bagels do the talking! They had me at naturally leavened, but I keep coming back for the consistency. I swear, whatever they're doing to the bagels in the back, it's how it should be done. Once you hit a certain age, things hit your belly differently. I'm happy to say these bagels don't skimp on flavor at ALL and the fact that they don't leave my belly hungover & bloating is with me driving 1/2 way across town every day for the last 3 1/2 weeks! Highly recommend the everything bagel with butter & egg. Waiting to try b the vegan sausage once that comes in. I'd love to see them have more vegan products made from non-soy and other non wheat gluten products. Fingers crossed. Either way, you'll see me here.

Perhaps my experience here was enhanced by the sheer excitement of having a new bagel spot in-town, and also the fact that they marketed SUPER WELL as evidenced by the fact that the line was out the door and around the corner. I personally thought it was fairly delicious, although I could have done with a bit less aggressive of garnish on my lox bagel. Wish there was more seating inside but it's so modern and pretty inside - very artsy and appealing. Friendly yet efficient staff as well. Coffee is delicious and I love the logo! Quite honestly, Northside is better with Julio's there and I am stoked to go there again sometime soon!

Cute bagel shop in the northside. We needed something like this. I love the drip coffee and the bagel was pretty good too. Will return.

*********I appreciate a place that reaches out to me after the review came in. They reached out to me to give further feedback. This is a new place so places always have room to grow. ***********I I have to say the bagel was tasty but it's another bagel place that refuses to toast the bagel. It was on the petite side, especially at the price so I think five dollars with cream cheese. I had the salt bagel and the flakes of salt were quite nice I have to say the iced coffee I had was not good. it was very watered down and at $4.50. I want a coffee. I felt like it was in New York because it was a massive line of people waiting for their bagels and to order You know how you have upon all those lines go. I don't know what everyone's waiting for.

These are my new favorite bagel in Richmond. Super chewy and crispy. The coffee is delicious! We can't get enough Fast service and friendly staff. Kid-friendly

I was very excited to try this place but it desperately disappointed. I was served a rock hard burned bagel. The cream cheese and coffee was good.

The inside of the store was old school setup with booths and a huge full service bar. 15 minutes within opening, the restaurant was full in capacity. The menu had lots of exciting brunch dishes, appetizers, salads, soups and deli section as well. There were plenty of cocktails, beer and wines choices available too. Prices were decent. I picked the Jewish Sailor that was a combo of toast with pastrami and beef sausage with red onion and mustard. When the dish came, it looked so scrumptious. Loved the flavor of the pastrami, the crunchy sausages, crispy toast bread, coleslaw all of it. I also got to try the pierogis that were delicious as well. The service was good overall. Our waitress was attentive, while managing several tables at the same time. The dishes came out quickly despite being busy. Overall the experience lived up to the expectations.

We ordered the brussel sprouts- they were great with a nice heat from the sauce. We had the crispy skin salmon, which came with a nice fresh salad, The skin was amazingly crispy and the flesh was flavorful. I asked Briana to surprise me with something good and boy did she deliver. It was their porkchop served over some super tasty mashed potatoes. Note that this is not how they are usually served, it was Briana's favorite way to eat this dish so she made the decision for me. The porkchop was very very good. Upon entering, I was reminded of a 1950s pharmacy by the humongous "Prescriptions" sign hanging above the bar, and the antique furniture, bar, and barstools splayed throughout Tarrant's. There was a solid crowd at the bar; it's clear there is a regular crowd that sits and hangs out here. We were promptly seated by a young blonde woman in the dining section (behind the bar). Our server, Nadia, was an enchanting brunette, training another young server, Sierra. She took our drink orders and gave us plenty of time to review the menu, checking in after a few minutes to see if we were ready. We finally decided, my partner ordered the 10" Bianca White (pizza), and I chose the Sailor Sandwich. Unfortunately, the sailor was not in the cards for me, and Nadia suggested the Reuben as they were similar. They brought out breadsticks while we waited, and the food arrived within 10-15 minutes. I was pleased with the atmosphere, the old-fashioned chandeliers, the large mirror, the floral paintings, and the rustic frames, all of which added to the restaurant's stated aesthetic. The pizza was hot and savory, while the Reuben had buttery toast, crispy corned beef, and a light smattering of sauerkraut (TBH, I didn't even notice the sauerkraut). For dessert, we indulged in the upside-down walnut apple pie, served with vanilla ice cream, all made from scratch, and beautifully delicate. Our time at Tarrant's Cafe seemed like a stroll into the past; the only indication of modernity was the ordering kiosk used by the staff. We truly enjoyed our time and had deeply meaningful conversations without enduring the hustle and bustle or the rowdy cacophony of an intense crowd.

The hotel is also home to an excellent restaurant that serves a fantastic weekend brunch along with a refined upscale dinner menu, making it worth visiting even if you're not staying overnight. We booked a suite, and it was incredibly spacious, with a full kitchen, separate living room, bedroom, dressing area, and a large bathroom. Although the rooms looked a little dated in the photos, they were much nicer in person. Everything was clean and comfortable, the bed was great, and the room temperature stayed perfect throughout our stay. If you enjoy historic hotels, this one is definitely worth experiencing. This review is for the tea only!…read more The ambiance of the Jefferson Hotel already makes this tea stellar- the mezzanine balcony where it's served is absolutely gorgeous. There are two tea blends that are custom to the hotel, the Jefferson blend and the Richmond blend- we tried the Richmond blend, which was very spice-forward and flavorful. The savory tier was pretty standard- we really liked the cucumber and chicken salad sandwiches, the sweet potato biscuit was a little dry and we didn't love the spinach wrap. The tea breads were our favorite from the sweets! We had a strawberry lemon bread and a chocolate bread, they were a little different from what you usually get at tea. There were also some small patisserie treats, like a chocolate covered strawberry and mixed berry cookie. You could add on seasonal cocktail options- we tried and really liked an old fashioned and a summer mimosa. We did a prepaid Tock reservation, which came out to about $60 per person after tax and gratuity. I think the price is very reasonable for what you get, especially in such a lovely environment.
