My husband's bacon egg and cheese sandwich
Alanna W.

My husband and I went to Cupertinos for a quick breakfast this week on the way to go shopping in Short Pump. I got an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, and onion and my husband got a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel. Both of our sandwiches were really tasty. My husband thought his was a little on the small side but he did like his. The service was really fast. Probably within less than five minutes after sitting down at a table, our food was out. I knocked a star down because the place seemed like it was in a new-ish/updated shopping but the inside looked a little dated/old and not as well kept up - the images on the walls were a little crooked and the ceiling looked as if it had been stained by something. We would definitely go back though because it did remind of us the NY delis we'd go to when we lived in New York! They had some pastries/cookies that we were intrigued to try but didn't this time.

Delicious! NY style (water) bagels loaded up with cream cheese. Can't get better than that. Clean, spacious indoor space. Fast service. Plenty of parking.

Having come from Cleveland, I came into Richmond hot in pursuit of the best bagel in the city. I had far too many options in Ohio that fit the bill, but struggled to find a reliable one here. Well, look no further because this one might take the cake in terms of accessible spots with a reliably delicious bagel sammie that will almost certainly never fail. Very standard deli-feel with plenty of seating. Quick service and super approachable staff - plenty of parking as well. Wish I lived a bit closer but worth the drive out to the burbs!

While driving from Richmond to Chapel Hill, we had the chance to stop at Cupertino's and we were all thrilled with the outcome! The bagels were awesome! I had 2 plain with butter and grape jelly, we had a sesame with butter and grape jelly and then 2 everythings - one with blueberry cream cheese and one with plain cream cheese. We had a Cold Brew, Regular Coffee and a Pepsi fountain drink. Plenty of places to sit, plenty of workers so between ordering and getting your food was very quick. Location was clean and plenty of parking I would love it they had a location near Boston....but for the time being, I will have to visit when driving south from Richmond Would I come back? Sure.....100%

There was line when I got there so I was immediately excited. This place gives the feel of a NY deli in VA. It's a small space. Some seating but compact. I got my order to go. I ordered an egg and cheese bagel and a cronut. The cronut was delicious. The bagel was okay. Nothing special or that I haven't tasted before. The staff was fast. Even though there were a lot of people I did not wait too long for my food. It was relatively cheap as well. I think my order may have been $7.

Definitely a 5. You get fresh bagels daily and they are done right!! I get the lumberjack bagel sandwich on a everything bagel with Taylor ham and is delicious. My daughter loves the everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. Don't worry about asking for extra cream cheese because they are already generous with it. The interior is your typical New York deli, small, clean and family friendly. The staff is great and very fast, efficient and friendly. I was impressed. I strongly recommend Cupertinos Bagels in Short Pump.

Whole Wheat Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese

People rave about Cupertino's so I had pretty high expectations going in and found it to be a bit underwhelming. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there were still lots of bagel flavors to choose from, though the one I wanted was sold out. We got a sausage, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel and a whole wheat bagel with scallion cream cheese. The wait wasn't long. The SEC bagel was good, pretty standard. The scallion cream cheese was great but the whole wheat bagel was super dry. Both were nothing to run home about. Overall, it's a nice option if you have a bagel craving in that area but I will stick to my go-to bagel spot to 'wow' me.

Easily one of not the best bagel locations in the area. Staff was nice and quick with service. We each ordered a bagel sandwich which were delicious. They had the perfect amount of smear. We also got some of the pastries to go which were great and I highly recommend heating up the cinnamon bun donut!

I had an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. The bagel was toasted and crispy. The everything seasoning was also very good! The cream cheese was perfect in flavor and amount. Definitely a nice bagel shop to check out. It came out to about $4. I would come back again. Faood: 7.0 Staff/service: na Overall: 7.0/10

onion bagel lox and cream cheese
Ella K.

Best bagels in VA, if you can get them fresh! The everything bagel was so fresh, and soft and chewy outside. The lox were fresh, and the cream cheese is sooo thick and savory. However the onion bagel was pretty stale tasty and almost crunchy especially when I could compare to a fresh bagel. Both were bought on the same day, same time. But overall really good!

Bagel with pastrami.
Pat H.

Had a lox and vegetable cream cheese on a bagel. The everything bagel was delicious and there was just the right amount of vegetable cream cheese on it. The onion on it was not overpowering. The tomato was sweet and there was plenty of lox. Also plenty of capers that adds the right amount of saltiness to the bite. As usual, my spouse's hot pastrami on a garlic bagel was excellent. Lots of pastrami. This was a good lunch. Service is always very pleasant and they always remember their frequent customers' names. Shout out to Damon. The atmosphere is bright and airy with the fan going.

The food came out pretty quickly and I was happy to see that meal came with a pickle spear and a sugar cookie. The flavor and consistency of the chicken salad was perfect, and the lettuce and tomato were great additions. My only disappointment was the bread, which had the consistency of being grilled on a flattop (it wasn't crispy as you'd expect toasted bread to be). The broccoli salad was tasty, but could have used a bit more dressing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely frequent this establishment whenever I'm in the mood for a healthy-ish lunch.

I had the braised beef short ribs, which were melt-in-your -mouth. Paired with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted root veg, and some of the best collard greens I've ever had. He had the fried chicken with hot honey, garlic mashed potatoes, and more collard greens. That fried chicken was so crispy and delicious. Had the peach cobbler bread pudding for dessert, and it was an EXPERIENCE. Upon entering, the hostess greeted us and, at our request, seated us outside because it was a beautiful day. The restaurant venue and ambiance were modern and well kept. The bathroom was clean and nice. The outside seating area was also fairly clean with comfortable seating. Our server (neither my partner nor I caught her name as she said it: she had beautiful braids with blonde streaks woven in) started on the right foot, took our orders promptly, and brought out our waters. I ordered the Smothered Pork Chop, and my partner chose the Fried Chicken, subbed pimento mac and cheese for the collard greens (who can blame her?). The food did not come out promptly. My best guess is that our server was seated with a large table and prioritized a better tip over the two top (us) outside. Eventually, the food came out (~25 minutes, so not terrible), but for the number of patrons in the restaurant, it was too long. My partner's mashed potatoes were cold, but she said the fried chicken and mac and cheese were fantastic. The potatoes tasted delicious, but they were simply not warm. My pork chop was very thick, like a filet, which is okay, but it wasn't what I expected. I prefer a thin pork chop, so that it cooks all the way through (more solid, not soft). It was passable. The beans and rice (Hoppin' John) were also not what I was expecting; I was thinking more New Orleans-style, but they were bland, like cream of mushroom soup on unseasoned beans and rice. We ordered the banana pudding for dessert. We ended up waiting for that for ~20 minutes as well, a half-pint glass of banana pudding with underripe bananas mixed in. Note to the chef: heat ripens bananas, so you could toss a few in a skillet with a little oil in a pinch (egg yolks also work). We waited for another 10 minutes, and I finally went inside and asked the hostess for the check. I realize it is difficult to serve, but you must also consider asking your colleagues for help if you have too much going on. All in all, the food was satisfactory, but the service was lacking. We ended up waiting an hour longer than we should have had to. I semi-recommend Farm and Oak, but look to be seated with the better server, John. He and the hostess saved our experience.

The first thing I noticed is the plastic cups that came with the combo. Very, very flimsy you can not hold it without spilling something.. Looking at the menu, I also see they sell chicken. Waffle fries - they taste like the old school chick fil a waffle fries with seasoning. They were good and cooked fresh. The Classic Bull - huge! The patties didn't taste like it had seasoning on them and the bun would probably be better if it were tasted. however it's still good. I opted for their special sauce on the side because I wasn't sure how that taste. And got mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard on my burger.. after tasting the sauce I could see where it would be good on the burger. The dining room is not real big and there were a few customers in there. Family friendly.. I was surprised that they weren't more busy, especially during lunchtime and the food is not bad. The location is in a decent area with other small restaurants around. Good customer service. Overall I'd give it a 8/10. I'll return here for another burger. Definitely need to try the chicken..

Boy, were we wrong! We ordered a single smash burger with bacon and onion straws ONLY! There was to be nothing else on it. We ordered a 4-pc chicken combo with waffle fries and cornbread. We also ordered a Honey Butter Buzz chicken sandwich. After waiting 30 minutes, we expected hot food. The fries were cold. The burger had cheese on it that they attempted to scrape off and serve to me! I DO NOT EAT CHEESE!!! The chicken sandwich was devoured by my son. The fried chicken was hot but bland. The cornbread was the best part of my meal - soft and sweet just like I like it. I won't be back personally, but my son may come back. I do not appreciate being given a burger with cheese. If they messed it up, don't try to be slick and scrape it off. Make your customer a brand new one. To prevent me from complaining, my family member just took it to go to eat later himself. Spending over $50, our food should be as ordered. They needed to clean their lobby & the trash attracted gnats and other flying bugs all around the restaurant. Outside of not enjoying my meal, I had to spend my time slapping away bugs. Austin was friendly & there was plenty of parking available. I just wish I had a better experience.
