Hands down 5 stars! This is one of the best bagel shops in…read morethe area based on shop space, cleanliness, service and food. It fit all the boxes. It is definitely a local favorite, so sometimes seating is a challenge just like parking. It happens to be in the small parking lot in Carytown where there are usually 6-7 cars ( Did you get it?) looking endlessly for a space or just blocking everyone else. You always have the option to just park on Cary Street. It is worth it. On this visit, we had to try the Lox Bagel Sandwich on an Asiago bagel which comes in this cute box that if you detach its corner, it can transform into a plate. You're welcome. Anyways, the fresh dill on it is good. I love how they make it into 2 open-faced bagels with the goods. Feels like you got a 2 for 1 deal. Worth a try. The next one was recommended by the cashier. I always ask for recommendation or what's popular. He said to try the Swiss Melt on an Asiago bagel. Wow! You don't even taste the onions because they're caramelized and paired with fig jam. Chef kiss. It has a sweetness to it, but not overpowering if that makes sense. The coffee is great and they have at least 3 flavors to try. Definitely coming back over and over again.

Such a great bagel spot. I was wondering Richmond in the morning and I stumbled upon a cute bagel…read moreshop at the corner. Please be safe when crossing the street, pretty busy area! As I entered, I noticed how welcoming the atmosphere was. It was so peaceful and calming and the staff just had such a welcome energy which is honestly hard to come by. As I walked towards the register, this wonderful lady with amazing colored hair, I think her name was Annele? well she was amazing. She was so patient with my order, such great recommendations, and just such a nice vibe. She definitely needs a raise! I ordered 2 lox and cream, ol Virginia (I think that's the name) and 2 cold brews! These were for my friends minus one of the lox and cream. GOLLY, the lox and cream was so divine. Melts in your mouth, great smoky flavor. Everything was just perfect. Definitely will come back!

I found another Bagel shop in Carytown so here's my review:…read more Food 9/10 - I ordered 2 different breakfast bagels on the same Everything Bagel and they were the best bagel breakfast sandwiches I have ever had so far. The everything was seasoned and the main thing that caught my tastebuds was the eggs which were the best part of the bagels. I have yet to try the other bagels but I'm sure I'll like them too. Service 7.5/10 - I don't have much to say but the staff were pretty and my food came in a decent time. Inside 7/10 - It's in a neighborhood in VCU so I can excuse it for being small and tight, but the inside is nothing special. It's clean and nice so that's all I'm going to say as well. Overall, this is another one of these instances where the food is worth it and everything else doesn't matter. I can't speak for lunch but this place is perfect for breakfast. I'll give this a 8.7/10

Booths and bar tables. Not sure if they take reservations. Street parking. They promoted POTATO & DUCK PIEROGIES on the show so I ordered it. Came in 3 with broth. Very flavorful and fulfilling. We also got cinnamon bagel with cream cheese, eggs and Reuben (I think). Fresh and good portion. Staff were friendly. She answered our questions patiently and she was very nice.

The inside of the store was old school setup with booths and a huge full service bar. 15 minutes within opening, the restaurant was full in capacity. The menu had lots of exciting brunch dishes, appetizers, salads, soups and deli section as well. There were plenty of cocktails, beer and wines choices available too. Prices were decent. I picked the Jewish Sailor that was a combo of toast with pastrami and beef sausage with red onion and mustard. When the dish came, it looked so scrumptious. Loved the flavor of the pastrami, the crunchy sausages, crispy toast bread, coleslaw all of it. I also got to try the pierogis that were delicious as well. The service was good overall. Our waitress was attentive, while managing several tables at the same time. The dishes came out quickly despite being busy. Overall the experience lived up to the expectations.

Was planning on ordering coffee for my family, but before doing so I walked in with my baby to use…read morethe restroom and change her. Unfortunately, there wasn't even a changing table available. Instead, I was stopped and loudly reprimanded by a large, intimidating male employee in front of a line full of customers because I had apparently "used the wrong door" and "skipped the line." When I explained that I needed to use the restroom before ordering, I was told I should have used the other entrance -- despite the fact that the door I was directed toward had a clearly posted sign saying "Please Use Other Door." The entire interaction was humiliating and completely unnecessary. No customer, especially a mother carrying a baby, should be publicly shamed over something so minor and confusing. To make matters worse, the bathroom itself was filthy. Even if I had attempted to change my daughter on the floor due to the lack of a changing station, it would have felt unsanitary and unsafe. Businesses love to say they support women and families, but too often mothers are treated like an inconvenience the moment they actually need basic accommodation and decency.

It's definitely a local spot and there was a small line when we arrived around 9:30ish, but it moved relatively quickly and we ordered an oatmilk latte, brown sugar cardamom oatmilk latte, and vegan burrito. The weather was nice, so we found outdoor seating and our drinks/food came out within 10mins. Overall, not our favorite cup of coffee in the area - but still good and very-well priced! The burrito was yummy too - I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for a relaxed, no-fuss spot :)
