Amazing small shop in the city with some of the best bread I've had at very reasonable prices. The sweet bread is delicious and the rye makes great sandwich bread. The shop is small but feels like an old European bakery. Definitely worth stopping at to get a treat or your bread for the week.

You know what I like more than nice, fresh bread? Apparently eating half a loaf of nice, fresh bread. In a day. By myself. Darn your deliciousness, Europa Crust!!!!!! Now I'm going to have to write a review of the gym tomorrow because I definitely see that happening in my near future. We decided to check out the South of the James farmers market today and walking by you smell the heavenly aroma of fresh bread. Some of which is still warm, it is that fresh. I am actually not a super huge fan of sourdough, which is apparently a big seller of theirs, but I have been dying to try some nice Japanese Milk Rolls, so I grabbed a delicious bag of them and they are AMAZING. They are so soft and delicious and good with butter. And jam. And honey. And plain. And moving your pesto sauce around your plate... I have not found a bad use for them yet, which is probably how I ended up eating half of the bag before bedtime. Delicious carb coma, here I come!!!!

Still warm San Francisco sourdough! Fantastic!!

A bread-lovers paradise! Great little no-frills shop. Just loaves and loaves of freshly-baked breads. The quality of the ingredients and the love that goes into each bread is very apparent. Drop by this place and pick up a loaf! You'll be hooked!

I'm all about the bread and Europa Crust truly delivers! Amazing sourdough breads.....great crunch on the crust and perfectly moist inside! We purchased from the RVA Big Market @Bryan Park and can't wait to try them again

I had the pleasure of stopping in at Europia Crust for bread the other day and was so glad that I did. As soon as you step in you're greeted by the owner/operator surrounded by proofing loaves ready to be baked and the aromas of ones fresh from the oven. I bought a half loaf of the Rustic Italian and the Nissua Sweet Bread and they were both phenomenal! First off, how cool is it that you can buy a half loaf‽ My family is always leaving bread left over. Don't get me wrong, day old bread is still pretty great, but to be able to buy just the amount you need is even better. So some people are pulp people, some people are crust people. I am squarely in the crust camp. If a loaf doesn't have a good crust, it's not going to be a favorite. Needless to say, that Europia makes a great crust! Give me one of their bread heals any day! All this to say that I'll be heading back to the shop very soon.

Stopped by one Friday after visiting The Book Bar a few doors down. They apologized for being down to their last few loaves which I thought was awesome that they didn't have a ton of stock near quitting time. Bought two loaves, one Italian and one sourdough which made the best grilled cheese sammies. Great customer service. Wish I found myself downtown more often.

I like the bread. However, definitely sold day old bread at full price. Should have been marked down or keep a better eye on inventory.

I ended up with a slice of salted chocolate caramel cake, which came with extra salted caramel, and it was delicious! I couldn't eat it all so it was nice to have the rest of the piece later at home. My friend got one of the Shindigz cookies and raved about it. She said it was one of the best cookies she's ever had. I ultimately had to ask another customer who was standing in line if they knew where to pick up a DoorDash order. The entire experience was incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

It was brusque but mostly not overtly rude, perhaps they were just busy getting ready. The chicken salad was good enough, but I think the croissant alone would have been wonderful. The charcuterie board had a substitutions I was not made aware of upon ordering (no pepper jelly, blanched almonds instead of candied pecans, and a green onion mixed type goat cheese with bacon in it instead of maple bacon goat cheese). They did add little pickles and the presentation was pretty enough, but no flowers like the owner posted photo on here. The meat was pretty thick which could be a positive or negative depending on personal preference, and the meat was decent quality. The fig jam was very good. The waitress who was helping the other tables had brought my food out but didn't check on me at all. I had to go up to the counter again to order a cinnamon roll ($8) and a coffee ($5) which she brought out to me. The coffee was nice and dark (Cameo blend) and incredibly hot. The cinnamon roll was okay, not very much cinnamon flavor but it was delicate and the icing was decent. The interior was pretty and it was a good spot to read a book and spend a morning.
