What an incredible gem to have here in Richmond. I went to college in New Jersey and have had my fair share of purportedly the nation's best bagels. But Baltik's is on another level. It comes as no surprise that they won the People's Choice Award at New York BagelFest. My favorite is the River City Sunrise with sausage. I only wish they had another location north of the James!

I've had Baltik's three times so far, and all were positive experiences. The first two times, we were provided free bagels as part of resident events at my apartment building. Both times I tried the Smokeshow, despite not being a pepper or spice person. It was sooo good each time; very minimal kick at all. More recently, last weekend I roped my boyfriend into visiting (essentially bribed him with bagels if he'd go to a cat event at Furbish with me ha). Despite the icy conditions, the place was still bopping. They were efficient though, with lots of folks behind the counter husting, so it didn't take long to get our bagels. My boyfriend ordered the Smokeshow and deemed it his favorite Richmond bagel. I switched it up and ordered the River City Sunrise, which comes on an everything softie. It was so unbelievably good!! We also split a blueberry bagel. Next time I'll ask for cream cheese on the side. It was loaded - like no skimping on it, but quite a bit. I'm sure we'll be back soon.

I've heard great things about Baltiks bagel and they did not disappoint! I'd been wanting to try it for awhile and was so pleased with our experience. My husband got an egg sandwich which came on their softie everything which was delicious. I loved the texture of the softie bagel and plan to get it the next time we go. I got a regular everything bagel which was also super tasty and reminded me of the bagels I've gotten in NY. My husband got a drip coffee and I got an iced coffee - I loved that it was self serve and they had several syrup options I could add myself to it. The service was fast and friendly! The restaurant inside was small but had a few tables. I loved the colorful logos and signs. We will definitely return when we're in the area!:)

Delicious soft bagels- we normally just get the bagels to go. Today we stayed and my husband ordered a breakfast bagel. I enjoyed my soft everything with dill cream cheese. Husband was disappointed with undercooked bacon. But with bacon removed / he enjoyed the rest. Small seating area was comfortable- nice bathroom.

these are eggs that are just sitting on the counter at the drive-through uncovered, made me sick to my stomach

The bagel I got this morning, tasted very tough as if it was microwave and hard to pull apart. It has some type of weird spread on it that I did not ask for and all of my eggs fell out and the bacon tasted like instant bacon, I paid $36 for two bagels and will never be back. Also they had their liquid eggs sitting on the counter unrefrigerated which is putting people at risk for salmonella as eggs are not supposed to be left at room temperature for long periods of time

Bagel was amazing! Service was wonderful, every worker was so kind and patient even through the morning rush. Also ordered an office bundle through the drive thru and it came out super quick. Will definitely be back!

Tried Baltik's Bagel for the first time and overall it was a good experience. I had the Smokeshow without bacon since I'm vegetarian, and it was delicious. The chipotle sauce was amazing and really made the sandwich. We also tried the River City Sunrise with bacon, which was tasty too. The bagels are soft, which I know is the style, but I would have preferred them toasted more for some crunch. The eggs were soft and flavorful, though a little on the undercooked side for me. I just wanted a bit more texture. One downside was that they were out of taters, which was disappointing since that's what we were most excited to try. We ended up with chips instead, but the bag was tiny and didn't feel worth it. On the bright side, the freshly squeezed orange juice was everything...so refreshing and delicious. We went through the drive thru, which is such a convenient option, and there was no line when we arrived. The employee at the window was super friendly and welcoming. I would definitely give them another try, especially if they have taters next time. And if they can toast the bagels a little more, I think this place could easily become a go-to.

    PomoD'ORO for Duke's Hot Tomato Summer 2025
    Lena M.

This review is just based off their Duke's Hot Tomato Special, the PomoD'ORO. First of all, one of my fave parts of summer is Duke's Hot Tomato Summer. This bagel shop was the winner of the Golden Tomato (meaning they were the best mayonnaise and tomato special in Richmond). They went above and beyond with the creativity of the bagel. It was designed to look like a tomato. There is nothing I love more than cute looking food AND tasty food. This bagel met all the marks. Baltik's Bagel is a casual spot that has a drive thru as well as indoor and outdoor seating. You can order at the counter and your name will be called when your order is ready. The people who work here are extremely kind and outgoing. I loved my experience here and cannot wait to return to try other bagels.

    Cream cheese menu
    Laura W.

Everyone said to visit this new shop for amazing bagels. I'm still waiting for the amazing to happen. I ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel, that had a good bite pull, but short chew. The problem for me was the burnt taste. It actually tasted burnt. Very little flavor from the jalepeno or cheddar. Could the cream cheese bring this flavor up? Unfortunately no. I got the pepper piquante and I have to ask, Where is the flavor? It was so bland. The overwhelming burnt taste and tasteless cream cheese has my tastebuds at a 3.

Very delicious! Got a few sandwiches to try and a few bagels... the dill pickle cream cheese was def 10/10! We have a meeting at work on Tuesday at these bagels were so delicious that my boss is going back there (30 mins from the office) just so that we can have it again. I hope he gets everything on the menu because I can't wait to try something new. Although my coworker went today, she said they were all really kind. I didn't get to experience it myself but that was good to know. They all seem pretty cool when i checked out their social media page on instagram. The cinnamon crunch 10/10. The eggs on the sandwiches 10/10. Extra fluffy and cheesy. The lemon pepper bagel.... Like. 4/10... it was a little weird and I am someone who loves Lemon pepper. The almost frosting cream cheese spread 10000/10. The taters 7/10. They had a good flavor but oddly dry. Cinnamon raisin bagel 8/10. Can't wait to try more and get my hands on the strawberry spread next week!

The announcement of their People's Choice award for Bagelfest 2025 in NYC.
    Nicholas H.

I can only rate them based on the bagels they brought to Bagelfest 2025, but they earned their People's Choice award, for sure. The people are very friendly, very eager to share their story, talk about bagels (if you want), and that excitement for their product comes through in the bagels. I'm sad I don't live closer to them purely because then I can't eat more of their food. If you live nearby, don't miss out on the treasure you have.

Anyways, the fresh dill on it is good. I love how they make it into 2 open-faced bagels with the goods. Feels like you got a 2 for 1 deal. Worth a try. The next one was recommended by the cashier. I always ask for recommendation or what's popular. He said to try the Swiss Melt on an Asiago bagel. Wow! You don't even taste the onions because they're caramelized and paired with fig jam. Chef kiss. It has a sweetness to it, but not overpowering if that makes sense. The coffee is great and they have at least 3 flavors to try. Definitely coming back over and over again.
