First time at this location. Stopped in for a coffee. I got a cold brew with flavored syrup. They have a TON of flavor options. They're all listed online if you'd like to check it out before stopping in. There's plenty of seating inside and it was very cute. I will say the donuts look a lot smaller than they used to be. They used to be wider so there was more room for toppings. Now they look like they're smaller and more the shape of a bun. I'm sure they're still delicious. The smell of fresh donuts hits you once you walk in. Plenty of parking in the strip mall. Server was super nice and helpful. read more

OMG.... So excited that Sugar Shack is now at the old Carytown Coffee off Colony Crossing. It is literally right down the street from us. Very cute redesign of Carytown coffee! We love Sugar Shack donuts. It takes a little more motivation for us to go to the Huguenot location, so I am happy that it is now so close to us. We used to frequent Carytown coffee and were really sad to see it go during covid This Sugar Shack location has donuts, coffee and burgers. We got half a dozen, a few of our salted caramel and some others. Also got a Honey Lavender latte... yum! Side note the cronut is on point, a cross between a donut and croissant, highly recommend it! I live in Brandermill, and frequent the Huguenot location so I've been thrilled they opened location much closer. I've visited the new location a couple of times now. It seems like this staff is still getting used to things - knowing the food and software. It completely understandable to give this location some time to get ramped up before it feels more like the other location I normally would be going to today. However, today I went and ordered two doughnuts and brought them home - a cinnamon roll doughnut and an old fashion chocolate cake doughnut. The chocolate doughnut was stale and I'm a little disappointed that they aren't turning over the doughnuts in the case from the day before. Also, the glad case had a ton of remnants from prior doughnuts that were in it - I'm assuming from the day before. I want to give this location some grace as it's new, but it's disappointing if the food quality isn't there. read more

I have an allergy to nuts they don't accept substitutions or modifications on the ordering system and I have called they don't answer and their voicemail is full what is actually happening!! Donuts are usually good but service is always lackluster. I really enjoy the Richmond location but this one definitely needs work. The donut quality has really gone downhill over the last week and half/ 2 weeks. I am a regular morning customer and I have always enjoyed the donuts, but recently they have been oddly shaped, thin and just not good appearance wise. I also overheard recently the morning employees in the kitchen loudly talking about and making fun of the customers that come in and "inconvenience" them because they are ordering donuts. I think that the employees should be embarrassed because we (the customers) can hear everything they are saying and we (the customers) bring in the business for the company. I am no longer going to be coming in and eating anymore. I do not like leaving negative reviews but I have just been really dissatisfied. read more

been here once before and had quick and nice service. they have great smash burgers so i came back for one, we walked in at 5:50pm and tried to order and the girl said "sorry, im not taking orders right now" and pointed us to the other register. as we stood there more people piled in so there was about 3 people standing behind us and still no one to take our order. we were standing there for about 8 minutes. great business last time but this time wasnt such a success:/ read more
