    Good HH options.

Good neighborhood place for food, music and trivia. Good supply of televisions for sports. Can get a little crowded on trivia night. Come early.

Let me start off by saying... I'm giving 4 stars because service was good. The food is about 2 stars. This was our first time visiting and I asked the waitress what was good? She basically said everything. All the apps. Said she liked the chicken sandwich. Well, it's national pizza day so why not try the pizza. First - we started with mozzarella sticks. This is a mistake that some restaurants make... sonic is famous for it... they fry things together that don't need to be fried. The mozzarella sticks were sweet. Like a funnel cake. You could smell it immediately. Now I don't know if they used some weird batter or they fry their funnel cake fries with the same grease but... pass on those. (Or anything fried really) Also got the loaded sidewinder fries. Guess what? Those had a sweet taste too. The pizza is very average. Not bad, not great. Just average. I really wanted to go back for a trivia night but based on my experience with the food, I may have to skip. I will say, the wraps, burgers, and wings looked good from seeing other plates come out.

Decided to grab lunch here. Typical bar ambiance, clean, indoor and outdoor seating, high tables near the bar and lots of tv's if you're interested in a game of some sorts. They offer a wide variety of craft beers and I decided on a strawberry cider by Downeast Cider House. It was so good, I actually prefer this over a Bold Rock any day. I ordered wings, old bay and buffalo (both were delicious), but the blue cheese isn't 'blueing' (didn't really taste blue cheese), mozzarella sticks (just ok) and an order of fries (OMG...loved them; well seasoned). Customer service was on point! Staff shared they have trivia and Singo (alternative to Bingo....fun way to karaoke and win prizes). I will definitely be back

Came here for lunch. Very friendly staff. Food was tasty but nothing memorable. It wasn't packed but they were down a person so the service was a bit slow. I appreciated our server letting us know that there would be a longer wait than usual.

    Bread.

the fries and tea was good, but everything else was mediocre. The service could have used a minimum speed limit, telling the people I'm with that we need to leave a better tip is quite brave (after earning the 23 cent) which should tell you about the attitude, and apparently there's only one type of fries. all in all, good food and drink which is all you should be expecting.

We visited again on a Sunday. Our fabulous server, Kiersten, remember our names and our orders. Tried the bbq chicken pizza today and the 2 silos gingerbread and both were delicious! Great pizza specials on Sundays and excellent keg kickers. We come almost weekly, the food and service is so good!

    Pretzel bites

The beer options are great. The food has a long way to go. Got pretzel bites. It was a regular pretzel cut into bites then deep fried. Pretzel dough is like a sponge. They came out greasy and the grease was pooled on the bottom of the bowl. Not appetizing in the least.

Stopped by here awhile back with a buddy of mine to catch up over some beer and good food. Unfortunately, it was only the beer part that was good. The amount of beers they have on tap is incredible and tastes amazing but the food on the other hand is severely lacking. We ordered nachos with chicken and the chicken that was put on top was similar to canned chicken and then ordered a pizza which was okay but nothing special. If this place improved on their food wood and iron would have some serious competition. Overall not a bad experience but the food needs some work. The service was great and the bar was very nice looking with all of the drafts but would only come back for the beer.

I've been wanting to come here for a while and finally had a mom night with a friend. We split the Mozzerella sticks and loaded fries which were hitting the spot. Shared the margarita pizza too. The food was great and so was our server. I enjoyed a Triple Jame and the Squared Pants pineapple guava sour. My friend said her husband usually gets a growler of the Squared Pants and I see why! I'm hooked on those two for sure. The mozzarella sticks were hot, crispy and the cheese pull to boot. I'm looking forward to another night out to enjoy more beer options and food.

What an incredible first impression. Fantastic prices and a great variety of foods on the menu, not to mention a huge selection of beers of all types, from ales and IPAs to sours and ciders, as well as wine and cocktails. I ordered the wings and a side salad - the salad was fresh, cold and delicious and the wings were hot and perfectly crispy and saucey. The service was impeccable, with an incredible attention to detail. They have great happy hour specials Monday through Thursday and fun events during the week like trivia. This was only our first visit and I 100% plan on coming back!

We ended up sitting at the bar for a couple beers and dinner. The outside vibe had fire pits and Adirondack chairs with some tables. From the minute, we entered to the moment we laughed. We were thoughtfully waited on by all the staff. Falcon smash is always my go to beer when I go there and this grilled chicken Parmesan sandwich was amazing. I've followed this brewery on social media for a few months and have noticed their pictures consistently feature pours with an inordinate amount (2-3") of head on them. As someone who absolutely hates foam, I asked up front for no head. The bartender winced and explained they had to pour that way or they'd get in trouble because the ownership "wants the aroma expressed." I was taken aback...not only by the total lack of regard for the customer but for levying that threat against an employee. I was waiting to meet someone somewhere else for dinner, and put aside my disdain and capitulated as I didn't want anyone getting in trouble over a beer. So, I figured I'd make the most of things out on the patio. Alas, you can't take glass out in the patio, only plastic cups. What?!? If this were a college bar on a Friday night, sure - pour into plastic. But happy hour in Midlothian? The bartender did say they could pour no foam for a plastic cup though, which I thought was funny - they're so precious about their beer the foam is mandatory, but yeah, just dump it in plastic for the patio. All in all, a negative experience and one I won't repeat. My advice is to give the customer what they want, don't threaten employees, and eat the cost of a few broken glasses. To be clear: I get the notion of aromas and such, but this isn't Russian River or Alchemist, or even The Veil (none of which have foam mandates). I could even understand if they were busy (I was the only one ordering), but I wouldn't have asked for a longer pour under those circumstances. The beers are average regionals and customer service and good treatment of employees are non-negotiables. I hope ownership sees this and chills out; the person who pays for the beer dictates the pour, not you.

FOOD: ~Sticky Ribs (4.5/5): actually fall off the bone tender! The sauce was tasty. Only thing was the ends were a little too burnt, but it wasn't inedible - gave that nice char taste. ~Italian Grinder (5/5): Typical italian sandwich, but the bread was so good. The roasted peppers added a nice kick, and the sauce was yummy. ~Fries (5/5): love battered fries! And they were seasoned really well ~Catfish and grits (4/5): the grits were wonderful consistency. Catfish was fried really well and was extremely tender. The sauce was so flavorful, but it was very heavy. At first I was worried about the huge chunks of celery, but thankfully, it didn't have that strong celery flavor and added a nice crunch. A really solid meal, especially for a golf course restaurant!

This used to be a place where you'd have to wait for a table every time, but now the restaurant is half empty and I see why! When I was ordering my food our server was slightly rude & I was taken aback (but you never want someone to spit in your food so I ignored it lol). As I was ordering my food she repeated my wing order to me as she was typing it in, but she did not acknowledge the fact that I asked for all flats so I said all flats again & her response was an "I heard" under her breath which others at my table noticed the rudeness associated with it as well. The wings visibly looked different but fine, however once I started moving them around, I noticed they were dry & chewy like they were over-fried, but normally when I get them they are moist with a slight char from being grilled even tough they are dry rubbed.
