The store staff was so patient and understanding as I stepped out of the line and spent a great deal of time on the phone with Amazon. Cullen was so helpful and gave me 15% off of my purchase and apologized. Although this was not a Total Wine issue, I was grateful at how the staff treated me as I dealt with this ordeal.

Belle & Kitchen Kuisine does catering, boxed lunches and just lunch in the store. I once got a sandwich to go and loved that it came with a teeny tiny block of fudge: the perfect ending to a quality meal. The store is also known around Richmond for great gift baskets. They've always got a bunch that are filled with gourmet goodies in the store, or you can pick your own selection of stuff and they'll make one for you. The staff is always eager to help and very friendly. This is a nice, locally owned store.

There's a good mix of local and non-local beers as well. I find it can be detrimental to focus TOO much on local beer. I also think they've nailed the size, both in terms of inventory and physical space, because product seems to move at an ideal pace. I've rarely come across too-old beer, which happens quite often in many beer shops. This is THE place to get beer in the area.

When I walked in after their remodel, angels sang, a bright light came on and I spun around in circles smiling with happiness as I couldn't believe my eyes. Okay, that's a little dramatic but that's what happened in my head as I've never laid eyes on such a beautiful ABC store! I'm used to the boring aisles with bottles lined up, uncomfortable mirrors so the clerks make sure no one is stealing and pretty much no décor other than some random cardboard advertisements for liquor but NOT THIS PLACE! They had a beautiful set up of seasonal liquor displayed at the entrance. A tasting bar built in. A beautiful display of airplane bottles on one wall and actual décor on the walls that made me want to say "I'LL TAKE ONE OF EVERYTHING!". If that wasn't enough, a salesman asked if I needed help and when they couldn't locate a bottle of pumpkin liqueur that I needed, he called a location down the street and had them hold it for me. Way to go ABC store, now if you renovate all locations like this, I'll be speechless!

There are parking spots out front, a bus stop, and you can bring your bike inside to shop. ***EXPERIENCE*** I don't come here often, but when I do I usually come for local brews, nightingale ice cream sandwiches, or a bike tune up. I love the little local markets we have all around RVA, and the fact that this one doubles as a bike shop is so cool to me. Their bike shop people are down to earth and really help you with any bike needs/concerns you may have. I'd recommend getting your bike fixed here if you're looking for a place. ***PRICE*** Market goods are a bit on the pricier side (think Whole Foods), but they have local and organic products. And it's always great to support a local shop. I haven't gotten a bike tune up from them in a while, but I remember it feeling like a reasonable price. My partner recently had a chain link replaced and brake tune-up and that came out to $30. ***CONCLUSION*** I love Outpost. It's cute, trendy, and local. It does a beautiful job at combining all things Richmond and bikes under one roof.
