I went to pick up a few bottles of wines for a party. We weren't sure what to get but Phong walked us through the store, made stellar recommendations and was generally a joy. He told us about the app and hi-lighted some of ways we could make the most of it. PHONG- if you see this thank you for your attention and excellent service! read more

I visited the store today to use a gift card that was purchased via Amazon by a friend for my birthday. I later learned that Amazon did not load card which caused a hassle for me trying to rectify the situation. The store staff was so patient and understanding as I stepped out of the line and spent a great deal of time on the phone with Amazon. Cullen was so helpful and gave me 15% off of my purchase and apologized. Although this was not a Total Wine issue, I was grateful at how the staff treated me as I dealt with this ordeal. read more

As a frequent customer, I would think customer retention would be key but apparently not. read more

Um, it's a store with total wine of all kinds and other selections such as beer, obviously already a win. My wife and I love Total Wine! The selection of wine is massive and from various locations. My favorite of course is the mix match 6 pack wall of some crazy but delicious beers! A good stop for wine and beer enthusiasts. read more

Went in with my fiance and the male cashier with glasses was rude and tried to embarrass us because I didn't have my wallet, even though my fiance had his ID out and ready to show. The store proceeded to have no issue checking out the woman in the other line who had children that "looked under 30" without IDs. read more

Always a great place to get your Wine from. I picked up something new, and something old. Should be good as long as it's cold. Dornfelder is a German Red. A must have for the wine fridge. I don't think you can go wrong with a good Riesling. They're always helpful when you visit here. Just tell them your taste that you're looking for, and how much you want to spend. Check them out for their tastings on weekends. You might find something you like. read more

Best place ever to buy wine, beer and accessories. Great variety and service. Didn't even remember the name of the wine I'm hooked on lately, but I described it and what the bottle looked like, and a staff person led me right to it! read more

This is the place to go if you're buying in bulk so I usually hit it close to the holiday season. In addition to regular discounts, around that time they always have additional coupons in their ads. They have, hands down, the largest selection of wine and beer from around the world and I love that you can make up a mixed six-pack of imported beers or buy them as singles. They also carry the large European liters of beer. And at the holidays, they have a really good selection of novelty liquor bottles and sets, as well as wine accessories. Last year,I bought a Francophile friend some brandy in an Eiffel Tower bottle. read more

Yup, they got a lot of wine!! And a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. It does take a minute or two to figure out the storing system. It's not by country which is the way I'm accustomed to finding my vino in PA. But if you look confused for more than a minute a helpful person will notice & offer help. Outstanding selection. read more

I enjoyed the selection of wines and that they have a rewards club. The prices on the Cabernets were competitive in my view. The store layout is easy to understand. The cashier was friendly as well. I would recommend this location. read more

This store has about everything anyone could want. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The selections are super. Their perks and specials are really nice too. The store is clean and well organized. read more

When we are on this side of town we always have to go here to see what they have. As a beer drinker they have a huge selection of beers from all over the country and world. We also were able to find some wine for a relative that we had previously not been able to find. In addition they also have a cigar room that has a small variety of cigars. I walked in looking for one thing and then walked out with probably 4 six packs. The front staff is very friendly and finding someone to help you is easy to find. Wish they were closer to where I live but that's probably a good thing for my waist and my wallet. read more

I have begun photographing the shelf price because they often do not match what is charged at the cash register. I am mad at myself for catching one error today but missing this second one. read more

Total Wine & More - Charged for the wrong item. Overcharged by 5 dollars. A common experience. Always check your receipt. - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Richmond, Virginia

We are all about the "more" - craft beer drinkers here. They have a nice selection of craft beer both local and national brands. They carry a year round beers and a large selection of seasonal choices. It is arranged nicely and it has always been a pleasant shopping experience when we go. The prices seem to be in line for the most part (a few items seem a little high but they offer coupons to email club members!) I do not drink wine so the only thing I can say about that part of the store is that they have tons of the stuff. Cheers! read more

I wanted to take a second to review the Robious location of Total Wine & More, even though it's a national chain. The reason I'm such a fan are the wine and beer classes offered here. If you get on Total Wine's email list and choose this as your preferred location, you'll get invitations to classes like Spanish Wines, Sparkling Wines, etc. The classes are $25 each and they're quite a bargain. You must reserve a place in advance. I took a class in French wines here and, to be honest, I went in not knowing much about them. The class started with a pretty nice spread of cheeses, crackers and fruits you could fill a plate with to enjoy while you tasted the wines. The class itself was very informative. I learned a lot about French wines, how they are named, etc. The instructor opened the reds early and double-decanted each one so we'd get to taste them at their optimum. For the price we got to try a variety of wines and learned a lot. In addition, we got a discount if we chose to buy any of the wines we sampled. Even if you go to Total Wine not for a class, the staff is helpful and friendly. Again, if you join the email list, you'll learn about special events when they have big tastings set up throughout the store. Very cool. read more

As far as Richmond beer selections goes this is about as good as it gets. The staff however is terribly uneducated, but the mass selection somewhat outrules that. My advice... do your research online about types of beers you might like and then build your own 6 packs when you arrive. If you are looking for wine this is another great option, but again don't expect much help. read more

Shockingly good selection of wines and beer. The gamut ranges from really good box (Yes... box. Really.) wines under $12 to Napa Valley Silver Oak Cabs for $99! Great choices, outstanding value. Super friendly staff. If you like grownup beverages, this is a must. read more

Thank you Tiffany for helping us out tonight! You were hella chill and made our in n out lightening fast! We will see you soon love!

We frequent this Total Wine whenever we need to stock up on our favorites for a party or just the two of us. Absolutely love this place. They literally have everything you need in terms of alcohol (outside of liquor) and everything you didn't know you needed. The best part is this is the only place I have been able to find a certain apertif that is an excellent substitute to make James Bond's Vesper martini. Yeah, we get down like that with our booze. This TW recently made my personal Top Ten lists for excellent customer service when a specialist (patiently) worked with us to pick out wines and champagne for our wedding. We aren't wine connoisseurs, we just drink what we like. As you can imagine, we needed a bit more expertise to choose wines to suit different palates of a 150+ guest list. The young man was really nice and helpful. Even better, when he saw we were worried about whole cases just going to waste, he assured us that we could bring back any unopened bottles so long as the labels were intact. Say WHAT?! Totally did not know that before. The week after the wedding, they refunded us over $200 in unopened bottles of wine and champagne that the guests hadn't decimated. Now THAT, my friends, is how you keep a loyal customer! Keep up the good work, Total Wine! We aren't going anywhere as long as you guys stay awesome. read more

I really love this place and it is always my "go to" place to stock up on wine. They have an enormous selection that puts Kroger's wine section to shame. They have wine at the cheapest prices and also carry some wines that aren't carried anyplace else around here (the Yellow Tail "Reserve" Cabernet is my personal fave along with their Big Bold Red). Everything is nicely organized by type of wine as well as region. Chances are you will find just about any wine you are looking for here. They also have a nice selection of mircobrews as well as a small room near the front that is full of cigars. The staff is always very great (especially Janell) and very helpful at making suggestions based on personal favorites. I'm glad I discovered this place and will continue to buy my wine here instead of anyplace else from now on. read more

I have been to total wines in both AZ and VA. one word WOW!!! They obviously have an extensive wine selection but you know what is super cool? They have an employee's fav section. This was really helpful bc I went with a bottle of cab picked by one of the staff members and her description was perfect and the wine was a hit. Plus they have wine chillers and the 1000 dollar bottles to droll at.... drop...Plus the gourmet snacks when you are paying rock!! I get the mango liccorice!! YAY total wines you rock!! read more

This location is convenient to those who live south of the James. This store offers a much wider variety of wines than you would find at Kroger. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. They have no qualms about giving recommendations or helping you locate a particular wine. Total Wine also offers wine tasting classes. If you are a self-proclaimed wine connoisseur or would like to become one, you must check out this place! read more

I've been coming here for years. The beer selection is on point and the staff is very helpful with wine and beer. This is one of the few places locally that has a sizable craft beer selection with things other than IPAs. Ive called on several occasions to check on certain beers and they almost always have them available. My father in law enjoys their cigar selection but wishes they had a cigar club. They do host tastings on Fridays and Saturdays. They also have a small snack selection, in the center isles with other host gifts and at the register. This is the only place I've seen these marzipan filled chocolates that are also vegan. All in all, I like this place. read more

I bought as a birthday present 5 classes for my son-in-law to attend the consumer wine classes. $100 for 5 classes is a great deal, IMO. Since this is my "wine store" I should figure out a way to own stock. Other than that they have a six star selection and normally as good a price if not better than any other wine store, locally. Now, for my ending, TA-DA....Luce is a lady who works there and spent a decade or so in Italy...she knows Italian and French wine better than anyone who has ever assisted me in any wine store! Actually, as I think about it she's the best person who has ever helped in any service oriented business...She's incredible! When the Piedmont wines are addressed I'm actually in awe! If she's in you'll get the very best service you may have ever had! read more

It's an adult candy store. Huge selection of alcohol that you just simply can't find elsewhere. Constantly have local seasonal brews delivered here, and in high quantity. Prices are fair, too. What more can you really ask for? read more

Wife and I were spending the weekend in Richmond and stopped by this total wine to pick up a few things. Store itself is nice but when checking out the cashier requested to see both of our IDs. I had mine but my wife had left hers in the hotel so the cashier said she had to wait outside the building in 20 degree weather and refused to continue the transaction until my wife left. No thanks. Yet there was a man and daughter in the next line and that wasn't an issue... Glad this isn't my normal shop. Will not be returning. read more

Although I am not a wine drinker I find my self going here constantly. I guess I go for the "& More." The more I go for is Bitter Lemon, they are the only place I have found in the greater Richmond area that carry it. You would think a basic mixer would be easier to find, but it isn't. The store has a pretty good selection of mixers, much better then any grocery store around. Some of the mixers seem too out there, they sell some small batch tonic water that is $15.00. Hey if they can sell it good on them, seems crazy to me, but apparently it works with their business model. I guess the same could be said with Bitter Lemon. I am probably the only person in the last 60 years that has bought it. read more

Great selection of wines. I could spend all day going up and down aisles. Also Great Help From Employees.

Whether it's a cheap bottle of wine for $6 or beer you're after, total wine is the best place to buy alcohol. Wide selection, friendly and knowledgable staff. I don't go anywhere else for beer or wine. read more

Went to get a quote on wedding beer and wine and Andrew was awesome! Great knowledgable staff who can't be beat!

I love Total Wine. I was looking for a wine once and they didn't carry it, I explained the taste of it and a wine was recommended. I was even told if I didn't like a recommendation, I could return it for a refund. The recommendation has actually become one of my favorite reds; so the only return was me to get plenty more!!! read more

I feel like a kid in a toy store every time I stop by Total Wine. Nothing really rivals their selection in the area. Lots of attention given to local brewers, as well. If you're looking a nice beer or cider from Virginia, they'll have something for you. Their comprehensive website with inventory, rankings, and shopping list options is a huge plus. Even when I'm not at the store, I can be planning my next visit. read more
