This morning I stopped by Brick House Diner for breakfast, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the French toast meal with bacon and added a side of potatoes, and everything was absolutely amazing. It was so good I honestly could've eaten another whole meal! Our server, Ellie, was one of the best servers I've ever had. She was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was bright, welcoming, and fun, making it a great place to enjoy breakfast with family or friends. I highly recommend checking out Brick House Diner. Today was my first visit to the new location and I came away impressed! The ambiance is great. The service is great. The food is great. I'm so relieved that none of those traits got left behind at the old location! There's usually a wait, but they now offer outside tables for waiting or dining. So that's a plus. And it's worth the wait. There's a new bar, so one can sit there and enjoy a drink or a meal. That's nice. There's a new (I don't know what to call it) "dessert deli"? Where all the cakes and pastries are on display and for sale. So that trapped us on our way out. :-) And there's a dedicated door for take-out only, so if you order ahead you don't need to swim upstream of the other waiting diners to get in and grab your food, Here's something really innovative: Their parking lot is on the small side. But they are adjacent to acres of parking in the shopping center. So they run a golf cart in a loop, picking up and dropping off diners who park in the satellite lot. Wow! That's service. The restaurant business is tough. And endless number of ways to fail. But the Brick House Diner is doing everything right! PS: In a time when restaurant prices seem to be out of control, BHD is doing a great job keeping prices as low as they can. For the meal I had, I've paid 10 to 25% more at other, similar venues. It's clean. The staff is friendly. It's an interesting menu with a nod toward Greek cuisine. Food has just mediocre. Not great, but if a friend says,"let's meet at Brick House Diner", I'm not going to refuse to go there. There is always a wait. I guess other folks like it a lot more than I do. Parking is limited and you have to go around Taco Bell in the Taco Bell parking lot to get to BHD. I've heard breakfasts are the real reason to go, but I fast until noon, so I couldn't tell ya. read more

This is my go to spot I love their food, and I went to the new Midlo location its huge and so spacious. I love this place for brunch the chicken and waffles are a go to!! However, for lunch I like the wraps & the salads. Definitely recommend 10/10 read more

Heard great things about this place so we decided to give it a try. There was a wait so we decided to sit at the bar. It was clean and the bar tender quickly acknowledged us and got our beverages. The bar quickly got busy so we had to wait to place our orders. We were the second set of people to sit at the bar but the last to order. I guess it didn't matter since she rang them all in at the same time. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious but the plating was sloppy. Not a good presentation. Because there was a wait people kept crowding the bar for drinks which was a little annoying because they were really close to where we were eating instead of going to the side of the bar where it was an open space. The bar tender was BUSY and people would offer to help her and she declined. Then when she wanted help others were busy. I think the manager should have kept an eye on all aspects of the restaurant. Consistent and somewhat elevated food in a new location! This doesn't feel like a typical diner experience. The decor is more like a bright, recently remodeled kitchen/dining room. The food is pretty good with an extensive variety. There's anything from burgers to salads, eggplant parm and seafood. They've got homemade ranch and Greek dressing, and house made chips. There's a note on the menu that they ever grind their own beef fresh! There is lots of effort to make good food with a homemade vibe. It's such a pretty place and somewhere you'd want to sit and enjoy a drink too. My only complaint is the wine and drink selection is lacking. It surprised me that they have a few wines and not very good ones. I'd love a nice glass of wine with the delicious food, but the options left me disappointed. My husband and I went for breakfast on July 4th. I placed our name on the wait list and gave the hostess my phone number. She said it would be about 20 minutes. We sat in the entrance area and waited to be called (someone also come into the area and call for guest). After waiting about 35 minutes I went to inquire about our wait time. The hostess stated that she had called and texted me earlier ( I had my phone in my hand while waiting). Her attitude was rude and uncalled for. We ordered our meals and were truly disappointed. Please be aware on Sunday. They only have brunch and they close at 2 PM. We were very much looking forward to our experience there, but we left very underwhelmed. We made a little bit of a long drive and went out of our way to try a new place, but it was very lackluster in the flavor. I will start by saying I have never had a bad meal from brickhouse. The fries, the sandwiches, the brunch and lunch is amazing. They give you giant portions. One time I went and got the steak sandwich, which actually made me sick. Not sure if it was a fluke or what. The staff is very friendly but expect a wait. If you are sensitive to loud noises you may want to skip eating here, as it is always packed. Overall, it has something for everyone on the menu to please the taste buds. read more

Our waitress was super friendly as well as others who came by to make sure we had coffee and water refills! Go hungry - their portions are LARGE! We were seated promptly and our drink order taken. We ordered an appetizer of cheese fries for $9 (sans bacon - crazy kid). It was a very large basket of fries, thin, not too much salt, and cooked just right, with lots of cheese. My son got a "Mac attack burger" - topped with Mac 'n' cheese bites and American cheese. At $15, this also came with a HUGE mound of fries. My son seemed to enjoy the burger, although it was so this it was hard to bite into. I got the fried clam strips ($15) which you don't see too often. They came with hush puppies and I got extra as my side. I had a very disappointing and frightening experience at this restaurant. The food was mediocre, but the way the owner handled a serious safety issue was what truly ruined the experience. I ate part of my meal at the restaurant and brought the majority of my open-faced turkey dinner home because I was full. Later that evening, while eating the leftovers, I nearly choked on a large piece of plastic wrap/saran wrap that was inside the sandwich. The piece was approximately 4 1/2 inches square was rolled and was hidden in the gravy and the turkey. When we called the restaurant to let the owner know what happened, we expected concern, an apology, and an effort to make things right. Instead, the response was extremely disappointing. The owner explained that the plastic was used to separate portions, but that completely missed the point -- the issue was that a large piece of plastic ended up in a customer's food. The first and most important response should have been an apology and concern for my safety. When we asked for a refund of our meal, the owner did not want to provide one. At one point, he even asked my husband, "Are you threatening me?" which was a shocking and unnecessary response to a customer reporting a serious problem with their food. Eventually, he agreed to refund the cost of my meal only, which was appreciated, but instead an additional $20 charge was added to our bill. We then had to spend more time trying to get that corrected, with the owner blaming someone else for the mistake. Accidents can happen in any restaurant, but the way a business responds matters. A sincere apology, accountability, and genuine concern would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The food was not good enough to justify being treated this way by the owner. I would not recommend this restaurant based on both the mediocre and low quality of the food and the way this serious situation was handled. read more

Beautifully designed, and decorated. This is my 1st time visiting this new location and this one definitely differs versus the other location near the diamond. The wait time was about 30 minutes as it was a busy Saturday. I had the pancake special and if I had to compare the two locations the other location cooks are seasoned, and know exactly what to do on that grill. My mom and I would go to Brick house every Friday, but never again. I understand that it is a holiday weekend and we were willing to wait the 30 minutes to be seated. However after 50 minutes of waiting a couple behind us was greeted with a hug by the waitress and seated before us We were then told there were still 2 groups waiting to be seated before us. 1st time here last night with a group 5 of friends. I arrived last and sat at the end of the bench. Note benches and tables if they were 6" longer it would make for more comfortable seating. Waiter did well in terms of taking drink and food orders. Kitchen needs to step up things. My friend's roast beef open sandwich that came with mashed potatoes- the potatoes were barely warm. Same goes for my open faced turkey sandwich. Luke warm mashed potatoes waiter brought 2 small dishes of warmer potatoes to compensate. My turkey was very dry and didn't quite cover the Texas Toast it was served on. A friend who ordered chicken tenders- she had to ask for honey mustard... I thought that the place has a lot of promise to be very good, but for one, needs more quality control on the eggs Benedict (egg yolks were cooked well and appeared to be made in some type of container which made them perfectly round). Seems a bit amateurish. Normally, I would have sent this back, but decided to move on. The new location is clean and modern. The staff was very friendly. Would love to give them another chance, but cook needs to be better educated on making poached eggs (even I have taught myself how to make almost perfect poached eggs). It was suppose to be an outing with friends and it turned into meeting new friends. I was surprised to see the crowd but must say my wait went very quickly. I'll probably regret saying this later, at the risk of making their wait times even longer. Brickhouse Diners' relocated spot (100 Schofield Dr. in Westchester Commons) is super cute and the food is really well done. My husband's burger was great, his fries were a fabulous mix of fresh-cut-style shoestring and really delicious. I had the Turkey Brickhouse Reuben (Basically a Rachel) and pasta salad side - both were delicious but just didn't photograph well here. Cuz I'm definitely not a photographer.. Now for the standout - the dessert case and is contents... They had several types of baklava and cheesecake but I took pictures of some of the more unique offerings. I got the Fererro Cup to go... Enjoyed some of the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had today: so tender I could cut it with a fork (all too frequently the muffin &/or Canadian bacon are way too tough), and the baked apples were delicious. I've been there with guests a few times. The food is excellent and the service is great. The ambiance is attentive but casual relaxed.

"Diner" is misleading - I think of Diner as something closer to a Waffle House ambience.... Their new location is more upscale. We got there for dinner at 4:30pm. Parking is horrendous - you have to drive through Taco Bell's parking lot to get to BHD. I found an open handicapped spot, but there's no ramp or cutaway and I needed assistance for the step up to the entrance. We were seated right away and the place didn't fill up while we were there. High ceilings reminded me of mountain resorts... the high ceilings also made the place noisy - hard to hear our server as she took our order. It also made our conversations a challenge. I ordered the open face Turkey sandwich and was disappointed- the bread crust was so hard that I couldn't cut it with a knife! So I just ate the inner section of bread. The Turkey was like thinly sliced lunch meat, shredded. Many people on Facebook rave about this restaurant. I'll go again (mid afternoon!) and try a different meal. read more

We chose to try out this establishment on this rainy Sunday morning/afternoon. Upon arrival, we saw that they were busy, yet, we were quickly seated. Noah was a great dining concierge to us. She was friendly and although she had other tables, made sure to check-in constantly. It was the perfect amount. We ordered hot chocolate, sweet tea, water, and mimosas (sunset and strawberry blast). 10/10 per usual! The restaurant is always packed but we only waited for about 10 minutes and were seated in the outside area. It was a nice day so we didn't mind. We started with coffee and tea and our food came at the perfect time. Our server was efficient and kept our drinks filled and checked on us regularly. I ordered the ultimate skillet and subbed the ham for bacon. Luckily one of the specials for today was the blueberry white chocolate pancakes so I got those for my pancake selection; they were so fluffy and flavorful. All of the meats were cooked perfectly.
