I made a reservation at The Boathouse at Sunday Park for my partner's birthday and specifically included a note asking them to help make it a special experience. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had. We arrived early and were told we had to wait because tables were being cleaned, despite there being several visibly open tables. Once we were finally seated, our table still hadn't been cleaned and someone had to come wipe it down afterward, which made the wait even more frustrating. No one acknowledged the birthday at all, which honestly makes me question why they even ask about special occasions during the reservation process. The food was also very disappointing, especially the fried oysters and steamed mussels, which had a strong odor that smelled like a dirty sink. I also ordered a diet soda that was completely flat. Between the food quality and drinks, the experience just kept getting worse. On top of that, the service was slow and inattentive throughout. Overall, the experience felt unorganized, unwelcoming, and far below expectations. Will not be returning. read more

I've been to a few boathouse locations. I really enjoyed the midlo location! I went with a friend who has a 1 year old and all the staff were sooooo sweet! Especially with my friends baby! Sometimes bringing babies to fancy restaurants, the staff tends to not like that. My friends child is super well behaved and our staff was great. The ambiance is so gorgeous and it's close to some water if I remember! The parking and how to get to it can be a little confusing but relatively easy to figure out. The food was delicious! I have been going to Boathouse at Sunday Park, long before the other locations existed, and I'll have to say this visit was the best I've had in years. Bryce provided fabulous service, recommendations and made us feel like we mattered. We are foodies so it's a a true compliment to say, my Broiled Seafood Combo was DELISH! It was cooked perfectly, so much so, I felt like I was eating at a high end ocean front restaurant. My orange crush 'crushed it' and the view from the interior top floor was ideal. Beautiful experience at The Boathouse at Sunday Park! We had such a wonderful time dining here. Our server, Jamie Cole, was warm, attentive, and made us feel perfectly taken care of. We started with the focaccia bread, which was soft, flavorful, and the perfect beginning to our meal. I had the clam chowder, which was rich and comforting, while my friend enjoyed a fresh Caesar salad. For entrées, I ordered the rockfish, and it was absolutely amazing -- perfectly cooked, served over a risotto cake with charred tomatoes and a delicious green sauce (I don't know the name, but it tied everything together beautifully). My friend had the seafood combination -- crab cake, scallops, shrimp, broccolini, and Yukon gold mashed potatoes -- and everything was cooked to perfection. We came to The Boathouse on Father's Day and had a great experience. The food was delicious, and everything on the buffet was fantastic. The atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for, but what really made the day special was our waiter, Levi. Levi was awesome -- he provided some of the best service we've had in a long time. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. He really went out of his way to make our Father's Day meal a memorable one. The Boathouse at Sunday Park was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The idyllic venue nestled in the woods overlooks a scenic lake perfectly positioned to take in the sunset. Outdoor seating is a great option, but we chose indoor seating on this beautiful 95+ June day. We were promptly seated at a cozy booth inside. The server warmly congratulated us on our anniversary and let us know that the couple across from us were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. We shared greetings and congratulations with the young couple. Our first choice of wine was not available and our server gave his recommendation for a Boathouse signature red Zinfandel. Although technically reds don't pair with our choices of apps or entrees we most often choose a bold red. The zin went well with our beautifully presented Rockefeller Roasted Oysters and entrees. The oysters were large and succulent. We both ordered from the Chef's Summer Feature menu. My wife chose the broiled seafood combination. Each seafood feature was perfectly seasoned, tender and cooked perfectly. She enjoyed what she couldn't finish the following day. I chose the Double Cut Bourbon Brined Tomahawk Pork Chop. A good thick cut is the only way to enjoy a great pork chop. Exquisitely seasoned, tender and cooked just enough, served with a peach chutney and matchstick fries, one couldn't ask for a better entree. Our server was a memorable part of our experience. His friendly personality and humor was an added bonus to our celebration. The Boathouse at Sunday Park earns my highest recommendation for service, atmosphere, and cuisine. read more

Hubby and I came here for date night on Saturday, we sat outside and the view was amazing. Our server Elijah was the best, he was so attentive and friendly and everything came out super fast. We were there for a little under an hour. I got the painkiller drink(delish) hubby and I split the calamari appetizer and I got the crab and asparagus pizza. I ordered an Old-Fashioned, but my cup was off-puttingly dirty on the outside, almost as if it had crusted sugar. It was a bit disappointing, especially when you're looking forward to enjoying a drink. I also tried the grilled Atlantic salmon, which, while colorful, was a bit dry, and the potatoes on the side didn't quite hit the mark. However, the crab artichoke dip appetizer truly saved the day--it was absolutely delicious and a highlight of the meal. Despite the food not living up to my hopes, I must say that the restaurant's view over the water was stunning. It made for a lovely atmosphere and a perfect backdrop for a meal. The food was good. The service was not. First of all we waited about 15 minutes before anyone approached us When she finally came over, she said, 'OH, I didn't know this was my table'. All other tables were being being attended to. There seemed to have a disconnection somewhere. We placed our order and someone .We ordered dessert to go. Some else brought out half of the dessert order. We had to wait for the waitress to tell her we didn't have our complete to go order. She immediately said, 'I know I our it in correctly.' I never said that she didn't. She went to get it and NEVER apologized for the mistake. LaLauni's interaction with the other guests were different than it was with us. The ambiance was nice. Sunday Park: Who is hiring and managing the bar staff! Ten minutes before being acknowledged. Dropped a menu and wandered off. Only when we gave up waiting and went to order at the bar did the server rush over to take our order. Zero courtesy. Zero eye contact. Both young ladies in the bar lacked social graces and civility one would expect. Better suited to a dive bar at midnight, It burns when the check is preloaded with a tip that defies logic. $20 in tip for two sub par interactions - If ever I return. i'll take my wallet and tips to settle in the dining area so the bar staff learn the hard way over time. Shitty service will cost the bar team. They don't seem to realize people return for good service and they reward it with higher tips. So they rip customers off never to see them again. Now you bring in a fantastic bartender, great cocktails, and delicious food and you have a perfect venue. I'm down visiting a friend who brought us here, and a we walk in to a busy restaurant but empty bar. Sit down and are immediately greeted by the Bartender, Chris, and told that he's training two new people today. He provides a few recommendations and we start with an orange crush. Now I'm a former bar manager from Maryland (our official state cocktail) so I'm judgey as hell with crushes. PERFECTION. I was pleasantly surprised it had freshly squeezed OJ and a splash of sprite, something everyone fails at. Went to the berry mojito next, which one of the trainees did and I could drink these all day (well, you know ) We split some fried Zucchini with ranch, and Dear Lord they were a perfect pair with the cocktails. This is a MUST try if you're in the area, and management should know how fantastic their bar staff is!! read more

Started with a salted caramel espresso martini, it was nice.. just sweet enough. My app was the Oysters Rockefeller and i was able to try the calamari- GREAT calamari, good oysters. Ohhhhh my goodness. This is definitely the spot. We had a Ladies Only night here and reserved one of the heated igloos. They look cold from the outside looking in but they were so warm and cozy inside. We could see the reservoir from our table, and enjoyed being outside but staying warm. They even had cushions on the seats and cozy throws for us to cover our laps with! They had candles and pretty decor inside with a heater as well. The lamp overhead made a huge difference and kept us warm and the igloo even had a ventilation window in case we got hot (we didn't!). The door is a zippered door with the guests and servers having to unzip and zip to get in or out and the service is amazing!! Xavi was our waitstaff and she was attentive, cheery, and so happy to answer any questions we had. She even showed us a second hidden page of our menus! We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, the coziness, the food (oh my god it was delicious!!), but most of all, the company. The restaurant really made us feel special! 10/1 recommend the heated igloos before they're gone! read more
