You know the food is good when the dining room is filled with Latinos who know where to go when they want authentic food. Tried the steak & chicken fajita nachos and both were delicious! They smother your chips with red and green peppers (probably can do without tomatoes or just ask to leave that topping off) but overall everything was great! I especially love the queso and chips. something simple but cheese is so yummy. Also, do offer pickup where they secure your bag and label it and leave it right at the door so you can quickly grab and go. Man I loved this place! You know the foods gonna be good when half the patrons are Hispanic. Every open space has painted carvings and the place is just happy looking. Our waiter was great and he spoke a bit of Spanish with my 12 year old who is learning in school. It was just really nice of him. The food was excellent. I got the chori pollo and the kid got some mashup of quesadilla, Chile relleno, beef burrito, and enchilada. We plan on going there for dinner tonight and bringing my husband. I will share with you that I was mesmerized with the the decorative tiles on the walls- they are so pretty and colorful. I found my meal to be pretty average. The real highlight of this place is the white sauce. Apparently it's real Virginia white sauce. I have no idea what that means but I heard some other customers saying that. My family and I love Mexican so we thought we would try this new restaurant to our area. Salsa and white sauce were good, not amazing but average. The chips could have been a little better. We like out chips warm, light and crispy. Cheese dip was a very nice portion, not spicy like some cheese dips. We did have to send it back because it was still cold. It was good, a little on the thin side. Our meals were very good, my husband got the chicken fajita nachos, they had a great grilled flavor. I got the vegetarian #g. My potato burrito was very very good! I also got a chili relleno it's was good not spicy at all. Only complaint was that the waiter filled up drinks from several different tables at the same time. Decided to go here for lunch today and the customer service experience was terrible. I had no idea of the exact location and had gotten a little turned around so I called to find out exactly where they were and that's when everything went wrong. I asked if she could tell me a surrounding business because I was in the area but apparently overlooking the storefront and she said no. So I asked if I could speak to someone else that could assist me and she said there's no one else so I said you're the only person working and she said 'no' and hung up on me. I found the location finally, went in to get the person's name so that I could later talk to a manager but they acted as if they didn't understand me so I left and decided I would give a review instead. Definitely a small hole in the wall vibe. We were impressed with how busy they stayed with takeout. They felt a little understaffed & slow to get dine in food out, BUT it was hot and fresh when it came out, so I really have no complaints. We both got combos, and it ended up being 2 plates of food each. We couldn't even finish it (which never happens at most Mexican places). The menu itself was a good mixture of authentic mexican, and texmex, so it really would please anyone & everyone. They definitely are taking covid precautions seriously, as anywhere should, and masks were required, tables were distanced, and it was very clean. Went for lunch today, 2 waitress up front no one greeted us finally one of them grabbed menus & silverware & started walking , so we followed her to table. She didn't say a word to us. We were sitting down for about 10 minutes when one of the waitresses came to take our order. Our waitress never came up to us to ask if we needed anything. Had to ask other waitress to ask our waitress to give us our check. Bad service. I have been there a number of times and staff is not friendly but today was the worst. The floors are covered in large square Mexican tile and the waitstaff are very friendly, asking often if we needed anything. As we were seated I noticed the menus were similar to the other Mexican restaurants in the area. Later found out the owners are from Jalisco and have some relationship to the other Mexican restaurant owners in the area as friends or family. Although I love a good enchilada I decided to start with a safe choice, the basic you-pick-combo of a taco, tostada and a side. I chose the Charro beans as a side dish not typically offered vs the refried beans. The food came fast and piping hot, always nice! For my taste the flavor was about average. Not flavorful, chicken on dry side, average bland chips and salsa. The charro beans were good and tasty though. I don't think you'd go wrong trying the place out at least for hot, fresh and quick, but for those with distinguishing palettes you may wish to skip it or come for the 99 cents Taco Tuesdays instead. read more
