Cold Coctel loaded with shrimp! I could drink the broth! The quesabirria was like a Mexican French dip! lol

This is the best Mexican food around. I live in Richmond where there are many options. This place stands out with their diverse options of authentic dishes. They have the standard tacos, burritos, quesadillas etc that are premium compared to other Mexican restaurants around. The bonus is, they have so many more specialties. Their drinks are crafted and fresh! A huge variety made to order! Love the coco loco. It's way beyond any you've had. Toasted coconut rim! Yummy! Always huge potions, a great friendly family of staff and a comfortable atmosphere. Please try it! You'll be surprised at the elevated quality compared to other Mexican restaurants around.

Wonderful first experience. Delicious food with excellent customer service (hard working and friendly). I appreciated the wide variety of vegetarian options and really enjoyed the King Molcajete Vegetariano - hot with so much flavor! My husband polished off his burrito with some type of meat. Even the salsa had a delectable flavor to it. Yummy margaritas, too; they weren't overly sweet. Hidden gem that's easily a go-to place for authentic Mexican food.

Not impressed and I did not get the 4 star average for this place. The atmosphere is decent. Service is as almost nonexistent. We were there at noon on Sunday and it was sluggish. But friendly. The food was just okay. I order the Birria Tacos which is one of my favorites. So much so I've made them myself. All 4+ hours making them. What I got today wasn't Birria . The tacos were decent but the consommé was basically flavorless soup with onion and cilantro in it. Very disappointing. I also expected the taco shells to be dipped on the fat of the cooking process and fried on a flattop. Not the case here. Presentation was good. We tried it. Try it yourself. We probably won't be back.

The restaurant has a nice festive feel about it, it's clean and they play a nice mix of culturally appropriate music. As soon as you sit down they bring you crips, warm, tortilla chips and take your drink order. The service from the staff is always the best, they are very accommodating. I got a tamale and Street tacos. The tamale was a disappointment because it had a piece of a organ and what looked like left over animal organs in it. I've had tamales from here before and they were not as disappointing as this time. My tacos were not disappointing, I tried three different types from the menu and they were all seasoned well topped with onions, cilantro, and pickled jalapeño. I'm only rating 3 stars because of my tamale.

This place was a quick spontaneous find because I had a taste for a margarita. It was more of a surprise because walking in the ambiance was exciting. There's a full bar, music, and plenty of seating in the dining area. I was greeted at the door by the hostess. Thereafter, she seated us in the dining area. It wasn't overly crowded, but enough people that said there's something good about this place. I ordered a Medium Raspberry Margarita, and the glass was huge. I couldn't finish it all. It had a good taste, but I will say I didn't get a buzz whatsoever....just a headache. I was disappointed since that was the reason I came here. The salsa was flavorful, and had the right amount of onions and cilantro like I like it. I can eat chips and salsa everyday, so I will give them a star for that. My sister had the El Dragon Margarita with dry ice. The presentation was beautiful and exciting. It reminded me of Sugar Factory with their signature drinks with the dry ice effects. She and I loved the taste of the dragonfruit, and the alcohol didn't disappoint. I'm giving it 4 stars because my experience was not all bad. I looked around at the different food choices, and they all looked really appetizing. Someone had a seafood pot with crab legs and that had me sold. The service was exceptional because the staff was very friendly and helpful to one another. If any of the waiters/waitresses walked by to check on their table, they would stop and ask if we were okay. I thought that was so thoughtful. The ambiance with the music was lively and spirited. I will definitely come back to try some of the food and another drink.

Food awesomeness ... shrimp chimichangas and my parents loved their entrees too, service was excellent, salsa was flavorful and smoky with good heat! Chips were hot and salted properly! Seafood specialty Latin cuisine that is quality and worth the cost! Drinks were pretty good.

Great atmosphere. Nice decor/art work. Modern grey booths and black granite like table tops. Pretty teal walls. There wasn't any background music nor was the tv on so it was quiet. Unfortunately there were a lot of flies which is annoying to constantly swat away from your food while trying to enjoy eating your meal. Onto the food- the Tacos Gordos had bacon which is a plus and were decently good. The corn tortillas were nicely done crusted with cheese however the fillings were very oily making my tacos fall apart. The 3 sauces on the side were flavorful. The street tacos did not come with any sides. I ordered the elote street corn which was nicely plated. I would return to try something different on the menu. Noted- a surcharge may be added to credit card transactions.

Cash/Card accepted Restrooms available Free public parking Group Friendly Family friendly Adult beverages available Mini bar Mexican Cuisine A family owned and operated restaurant, this place has a variety of choices in their menu. It becomes superpack during rush hour, Space may be limited due to the fact that the building is small. Prices are decent and you get a full quantity on your plate, a decent amount of food that can feed 2. Overall a good spot to get quick bite for Mexican food and to enjoy your time with family or friends.

I came in with my best friend and we planned to only order drinks. We ordered an El Dragon Margarita and lengua street tacos to share. They were out of dry ice so we didn't get the special effects with Margarita but it taste good and we were able to take what we didn't finish home. The street taco weren't anything special I've definitely had much better. I do plan to pay the place another visit because the drink was strong and hope to find a entree I like. Our services was very nice. The ambiance is fun and busy seating is very close. Don't come in wit your sneaky link.

We stop there in the evening. On our way home to Florida, the food was good but three hours later, my wife realized she had left her purse, quite a ways down the road. The person on the phone said they would mail it to us if we set up with our address, since going back, for it would put us back on the road for another full day. I agreed and would've paid him for his troubles after multiple contact to many excuses two weeks later he hasn't, and now he won't even return my text his name was Freddy. He said he took it home to be safe instead of leaving it with the manager. Now we have signed that somebody is trying to get into our checking account. Tried multiple times to contact the manager to no avail. Update: he did finally send it to us, just not as quickly as we expected, but the food was great, and we would go back if we're in the area.

My mom took us here for Easter. Food was certainly more authentic compared to the surrounding mexican restaurants. The food is flavorful, portions are ginormous. Service is a little slow and kinda requires some patience- keep in mind they just opened so they are getting the hang of it. The manager saw me drinking a margarita and also gave me a free shot of Espolon too. Check it out!!

9/10 Recommend!! (Date of service: February 14th, 2023) Walked in and there was no wait time which was Great since it was "rush hour" time. Once we sat down we were quickly served with chips and salsa. The white salsa was SOO good that the server came back to refill it in a bigger bowl without me even asking. The portions were more than enough. I ordered about 7 tacos to share and only could finish two at ease, it was sooo good that I forced myself to eat a third! Our server was super patient, kind, and more than exceptional customer service. The ambiance wasn't too loud and was not too crowded. If i lived in Virginia, I would tell everyone I know but for now, I will vouch for them all the way from Las Vegas.

There is a pretty small public parking lot directly across the street, and it was full, so I'm not 100% sure if we parked in the public parking or the parking lot of the glass shop next-door since there weren't really any signs. I really hate parking in the middle of any town, but it wasn't too bad. But I'm still not sure if we could've gotten a ticket or not. You seat yourself in this really awesome classic rock themed restaurant. The decor is great, a perfect mix of interesting things to look at, without being super claustrophobic-ly overwhelming. It is really cute. We took a minute to look over the menu, and decided on the house cut chips appetizer, and both a beef and chicken Shawarma for us to try both. The beef Shawarma was delicious. I really like the seasoning that they use on their meat or sauce or something. I never could place what it was or where it was, but the flavor is just heavenly. A little sweet, a little savory and delicious. The fresh pickled veggies were also amazing. They were still crisp with that snap that you really want with pickled foods. Chicken Shawarma was definitely my favorite since it had slightly different pickled vegetables. They were both good, but the chicken was definitely my favorite by just a touch. The bread was a little hard and chewy for my likings, it definitely stood up to the creamy sauce and the juicy pickled vegetables, but it almost hurt my teeth if you just had a dry spot that hadn't been soaking in some form of liquid. The house cut chips are just OK, nothing special by themselves, but that trio of dipping sauces was amazing. We were dipping our fries into it because we liked those a little better than the chips, but we ate almost every drop of that sauce trying to figure out which one was our favorite. one of the hot sauces is blueberry and very sweet with a mild spice, one is I think mango and not spicy initially, but when you swallowed, you definitely felt it burn in the back of your throat. It was a nice sneaky heat, which I love. And the third dipping sauce, we could not place, but we literally could not figure out which one we loved the most. They have a patio outside with lots of tables, but we did not go out there. It looks cute in the pictures though. The downside, is that while the service was very great, if you catch them out a bad time, they don't yet seem to be able to handle huge amounts of orders. They've only been open for about two months, I think, so that will come in time. It seems that they only have one guy cooking in the back, so we were unluckily there at the same time as a table of eight people. If we had all the time in the world, I could have sat and stared at the decor for ages. But unfortunately, if you are on a lunch break or have to be somewhere, they could potentially be so backed up it takes quite a while to actually get your food. It was a rare and random set of circumstances, and probably does not happen often, and she generously comped our chips which was not necessary but was very appreciated. The service here is absolutely top-notch. We will definitely be back for more of that delicious Shawarma. Definitely earlier in the day though, so we can sit as long as we want.

Since we were informed that we couldn't make reservations on the same day, we did have about a 45 minute wait when we got there but we didn't mind. We were sent a link to track how far we were in line, which I thought was very helpful. Once we were seated, our server came over right away with waters. She was extremely nice and gave us time to look over the menu. The Potato Leak Soup was on their March Specials Menu so we decided to order that with a Bread Basket to start. The bread was delicious, very soft and warm, it was served with a whipped, honey butter and herbed oil. Unfortunately, the soup was cold when we received it. I'm not sure if it had been sitting a while but we did have them returned. Oddly enough, they were returned in a larger bowl, not the same size cup, but with the same amount of soup lol. It definitely was weird but it was indeed piping hot and the soup was delicious. The Crab Stuffed Mushrooms were great as well. I decided on the Crab Stuffed Shrimp, my daughter chose the Chicken Marsala and my sister went with the Hand Cut NY Strip. I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp, the flavors were great and the NY Strip was cooked perfectly. My daughter wasn't a fan of her Chicken Marsala but they did switch it out for some Salmon. Overall, my daughter had a great birthday dinner yet again. Our server was new but we couldn't tell because she did a great job at making sure we had everything we needed.
