From there, we could select a bottle inspired by the flight. A few of us gravitated toward reds. The Wade & Wayfarer Pinot Noir was our favorite (so good!), though a bit pricier. We also tried the Alkoorai Cab/Merlot blend, which ended up being our least favorite. Ultimately, we chose the Denner Nightshade GSM -- excellent pick. Bonus tip: if you purchase a bottle $50 or more, there's no corkage fee; under $50, there is. We were so busy exploring all the other cities so we did not have the opportunity to try this. Plus, the Drury hotels have an evening kickback hour that provides food and drinks. We decided to eat here because immediately after checking in at 5pm, I had to work and was not finished until 6:30pm, which is at the tail end of kickback time. For some reason, I was craving a burger and decided this might be the place to go. They closed at 10 so we had to get there at least 9:15pm to be fair. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately upon sitting. Alexis took our drink order and provided us with menus. There were fellow patrons who came over and sang happy birthday to Alexis, which was so sweet. She was so grateful as well. Hubs ordered the chicken tenders with tots and I ordered the cheeseburger with tots. I think Alexis was the only staff member working because she went in to start the grill, checked on it, then went in and delivered the food. I believe she also mentioned something that made it sound like she was the only one. The burger was not the best but it was actually a lot better than many other burgers.
