I had the braised beef short ribs, which were melt-in-your -mouth. Paired with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted root veg, and some of the best collard greens I've ever had. He had the fried chicken with hot honey, garlic mashed potatoes, and more collard greens. That fried chicken was so crispy and delicious. Had the peach cobbler bread pudding for dessert, and it was an EXPERIENCE. The only thing that would have made the meal better was some of the slab bacon, but we'll know to come for breakfast or lunch for that next time!

They have a very limited menu at lunch so you have a few appetizers to choose from, a few salads and sandwiches and burgers, so straight up American food. It does skew southern with crab cake sandwich, pimento cheese and fried chicken. For an appetizer we decided to try the wings. They were good and came with ranch drizzled over the wings. For entrees my husband got their farm & oak burger with Cole slaw and I got their wedge salad with fried chicken. Both were good. The salad was nice and cold and crisp, which was appreciated on such a hot day. It did have too much dressing so next time I might ask for less dressing or have it on the side. I enjoyed the food, service was good and it is a pretty restaurant. I'll probably come back for supper some time to try some of their more in-depth meals.

When we first walked in, the place was pretty crowded, but we were able to grab a couple spots at the bar and figured we'd settle in for a good night. That's where things went sideways. The bartender appeared to be the only one working, and while I understand being busy, the attitude and behavior were honestly shocking. Every interaction felt aggressive. Remotes getting slammed around. Napkins and pens tossed onto the counter. Water being splashed onto the floor like a toddler throwing a tantrum. The entire atmosphere at the bar felt tense and uncomfortable. It got to the point where we almost felt awkward ordering anything because every request seemed like it was ruining their night. At one point another couple sat down next to us and almost immediately started looking around like, "is this really happening right now?" I actually ended up warning them that no, they weren't imagining it, and that it had been our experience the entire time too. That alone should tell you how uncomfortable the atmosphere was. Which is unfortunate because the kitchen actually did their part. The food was good. Really good. But good food only carries a place so far when the service makes you want to leave before the meal even arrives. I've worked in and around hospitality long enough to understand busy nights happen. But there's a huge difference between being overwhelmed and taking it out on customers. Tazza Kitchen has the food figured out. Now they just need the front of house experience to match it.

Unfortunately, there was still not great service again. The server was professional and polite... but he wasn't present. Someone else brought our food out. He checked on us for the first time when we were almost done eating. I had to ask the hostess for the check. The food was just okay. If it had been amazing, that might have been worth waiting for, but it was forgettable. The menu is blah and standard. Nothing exciting. The flavors, meh. I got the arugula and proscuitto pizza last time. Someone at our table got that this time. It looked really dry. I ordered salmon because I thought you can't mess it up. It was just okay. The ambiance, it's like a typical mainstream place. Pretty cookie cutter. The parking lot is really tight. There really is nothing to recommend this place.

What a great decision! When you walk in, you immediately notice that all of the wines are beautifully displayed -- it doubles as a wine shop, which gives it such a warm and welcoming vibe. It feels cozy but elevated at the same time. They don't offer flights for groups larger than five, but we were able to order one dealer's choice flight based on our preferred flavor profiles. From there, we could select a bottle inspired by the flight. A few of us gravitated toward reds. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable -- we told her the flavor profiles we liked, and she brought out three reds to try. The Wade & Wayfarer Pinot Noir was our favorite (so good!), though a bit pricier. We also tried the Alkoorai Cab/Merlot blend, which ended up being our least favorite. Ultimately, we chose the Denner Nightshade GSM -- excellent pick. Bonus tip: if you purchase a bottle $50 or more, there's no corkage fee; under $50, there is. Our waitress also mentioned that South American Merlots are the best Merlots as we all mentioned Merlot tends to be more dry. A few in our group ordered the Masterpiece Theatre cocktail on our waitress's recommendation -- she did not steer us wrong! Food-wise, everything was a hit. Our friends ordered the Cacio e Pepe burrata, pickled shrimp, Caesar salad, mushroom and leek flatbread, and the Brie and pear flatbread (both flatbreads were huge!). They loved every dish. My husband and I shared the bread with olive oil (simple and delicious), the charred octopus (tender with amazing flavor), gnocchi Bolognese, and lamb chops. Everything was fantastic -- the only small note was that the lamb could've been a bit more rare -- but still very flavorful. By the end of the night, all six of us agreed we'd absolutely be back. We're even looking into their wine club -- $60/month for two bottles (pickup required at the shop), which honestly sounds like a great deal. Apparently, they change up their wine flights weekly, which makes it even more fun and gives us a reason to return. Such a great experience all around -- can't wait to go back and try more wines!

You can try another if the first is not to your liking! The food is excellent, with it all being house made. Everything from flatbread to lamb chops. Wines by flights or the glass are changed weekly, so you get to try lots of new wines. You may choose a wine from the shop to go with your dinner if you prefer. No corkage with wines $50 or more. They also have wine tastings several evening per week with minimal charges. Knowledgeable servers and bartender. There is a small bar also, so beer and drinks are also available. We have gone multiple times with different friends and everyone has loved our evenings.

The server was overall fantastic and the food was really good. My wife and I split the meal for two which was a tenderloin with asparagus. Everything tasted wonderful and the beef was cooked perfectly. The dish was served with a brown steak gravy which paired nicely with the beef. I can tell the beef selection is a high quality and the service was really nice however, I still feel the price was a little much for what was offered.

The décor and dining rooms are nicely setup, modern, and somewhat cozy, as they have multiple dining rooms. Table setting was nice, but they didn't do a very good job replacing my silver as I used it and moved on to the next course... other than this, service was great! Menu is pretty nice and it's loaded with many of the popular chophouse items. They even have a nice selection of salads with discounts if bought with an entrée. We started with their New Orleans style BBQ shrimp which had a decent flavor, but way too much butter in it. It should resemble more of a brighter red color with visible spices in it. But what we got was a thick, buttery, pink/orange sauce. Flavor was ok, shrimp was cooked nicely. It was good to dip bread into. Next up was their wedge salad - Typical, HUGE salad with a quarter of the iceberg lettuce head and all the other items... I love adding ranch dressing to the bluecheese that's already on it and in this case, it worked perfectly! The lettuce and ingredients were flavorful and very fresh. I enjoyed it, but could only eat half of it to ensure I saved room for my entrée. For my entrée I got steak frites for the first time ever! They did an amazing job with the hangar steak! Great flavor and perfect temperature! It was a good size portion as well. The fries that came with it were amazingly crispy and quite nice, I just wish they were slightly warmer. They seem to coat them with corn starch, as I saw some on several of the fries. I loved how crunchy they were! And they came with a nice ketchup... I wonder if it's homemade? Overall, we all enjoyed dinner and the service... They could easily be a 5-star

Bread crust is great. Thick sauce and the toppings are fantastic. The quality of the meats on the meatsiah are top notch. Service Server was attentive and friendly. Always had drink refills. Ambiance It is a chic vibe. Kind of place that feels upscale. Price It isn't cheap. Expect to pay $20-$30 for a pizza but it is a lot of food. The first time we got the small I ate two squares and my son could only each one (teen boy). Summary One of the best pizza places of any genre I've been to highly recommended.

We walked in this evening a little before 7 (Father's Day) with our spirited three year old in tow. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. The hostess ignored us at first, which is somewhat hard to do with a hungry toddler. Then on two occasions somewhere around ten minutes each, she told us she'd be with us. Mind you, she could have sat us at any number of tables within 6 feet of where we were standing at the front door. We are finally seated after 20-25 minutes. No one was in front of us waiting for a table, and no one was behind us. The table is on the side closest to the restroom and the table next to us hasn't been cleared. One younger waitress passed us no less than 5 times. After another 20 minutes of being ignored, we left the restaurant and ended up eating at Whole Foods to get the child food quickly. The most ridiculous part of all is that the same young waitress who ignored chipperly said, "Thanks for coming in and Happy Father's Day!" With as many food choices as Short Pump has to offer and having to intentionally make a trip to Emmy Squared, spend your hard earned money and time elsewhere.
