I would like to start with the presentation of the food - It definitely looked beautiful. Although it did present beautifully, it didn't necessarily taste the best. Shrimp & Grits - The grits had absolutely no flavor (highly recommend using more than water to make them). I assumed the lobster cream sauce was meant to mask the absence of flavor, but since there are more grits than sauce it is hard to go un-noticed. - This was sent back in exchange for an All -American w. Cin-a-bun pancakes. All-American - The cin-a-bun pancake did taste very good. The bacon was bacon. The eggs were good. The homefries were kinda dry as if they may have been sitting for a while. Nashville Chicken Sandwich- The sandwich had potential to taste great. The chicken was nice and thick, but i believe all of the hto sauce may have been poured on just one side of the sandwich. - one side was a plain chicken sandwich which was tolerable. While the other side of the sandwich was extremely hot ! The french fries tasted very good! Classic Burger - Tasted good. Fries were good. The Server we had was somewhat attentive. She was not rude. Just did not see her much. This place is slightly loud- the energy is definitely upbeat. Overall, I dont have it on my list to return - slight underwhelmed.

We waited for a while to get our table. So while part of me appreciates not having to make a recommendation, I was starving and not sure of when we were gonna be seated. Once we did sit everything ran smoothly. I ordered the mimosa flight and notorious BLT. The flight was good but recently I saw photos on social media that are the flight look wayyyy better. What I got was a regular mimosa flight - no frills. The notorious BLT was good - the addition of a fried green tomato made it extra special. The restaurant is spacious - lots of room so nothing feels overly crowded. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Great place! Very chill vibe. Madison was our waitress and she was new but she did a GREAT job. The food was good. We all got the all American breakfast. I got French toast which was quite tasty, my hubby got the blueberry pancakes which were yummy! I tasted his loaded grits which were sooo good, just needed a little salt. Easy fix. We didn't get mimosas but were all happy with our orange juice, sweet tea, coffee & coke. Overall great brunch. Will definitely go again.

POINTS--3 overall (total/5) 5-Food 2-drink selection for a place with a bar 4--server was nice and and did a good job 3-atmosphere, didn't match the outside signage, too dark 1-restroom maintenance and design Ok. We went on a Saturday to a place called Brunches. First mistake. So we waited for a table about 15 minutes which was reasonable. They had 2-3 tables outside which turned out to be a place to wait. But since there was no place to sit, we sat on a bench in front of the vet hospital. The text we received said we had 5 minutes to claim the table or they'd give it away. Glad we didn't walk too far away. We were seated at a booth just steps from the door across from the bar. So I didn't get to see much of the back of the restaurant. Based on the outside signage, I assumed it would be a brightly lit restaurant. The ceiling was black. The bar and booths were black. The cream colored walls had wallpaper cutouts of bubbles--the theme being mimosas. So not very bright at all. There were some champagne bottles with fake flowers around on ledges. The feel was more speak easy to me than summer brunch. The server was nice and served us well. Drink menu catered to mimosas and mixed drinks. There were only two beers--Michelob and Modelo. I'm not big on mimosas so I passed on alcohol. Like I said--The food was great. The aioli on the avocado toast was very good. The sandwich was very tasty. My husband had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich which he liked very much. The home fries were good. Food prices were very reasonable. Drinks seemed pricey but I don't drink mixed drinks too often. Two "all gender" bathrooms exist. One was "Out of Order." See pictures. I don't understand the messy bathroom since a couple of the workers were standing around. I didn't have to wait when I went in, but when I exited there was a line. I'd go back for the food maybe for a weekday late lunch. But never again on a Saturday.
The service is alright...the space really cute...it's definitely social media-worthy. I loved my dish - crab cake benedict and the waffle (not pictured bc I got it to-go). The avocado toast was prettt good, very fresh, nothing fancy...the omelet and home fries were good. The pancakes are meh though, so don't get too hype about those. It tastes like different batter than the waffle (way too thick for pancakes) so they just weren't enjoyable. I'd recommend a waffle instead. Pay attention to the upcharge on pancake add-ons.
3.5/5 Stars. Food was good, ambiance was fun, and they have mimosa flights! The wait was not terrible for a Sunday afternoon. We waited about 20-25 minutes to get a table. The food was quite good, however it did take about 45 minutes to get our food. A couple dishes came out like warm, which was odd after waiting. Our server stopped by periodically to refill water but I would have liked to be notified if the kitchen was backed up. Would come back for mimosa's, but just be willing to wait a while for your food.
The food was scrumptious. Went on a very busy day so the food came slow. But the bacon....crispy...was to die for. Large coffee mugs that I just loved! The grits were good, creamy, and plentiful. A great atmosphere. The servers and the customers were so friendly. Families, groups of women, fun bunches. I will go again and again when I visit that area again. A great experience! However, they didn't have a microwave to reheat my pancakes. Ijs

Nice spot for brunch. The atmosphere was lively and inviting. The food was fresh and good! The potions were enough to share. The drinks were cutesy and poached a slight punch! The service was friendly and attentive. Great time! Good food, drinks & service.
The Avocado Toast was good! Very nice menu with specialty shots for the coffee! I like that they have blinds to block out some sun on the bar side. Nice setting! Service was ok.
It's been a while since I've been here. Got their coffee flight to start out with. I wish I asked without whip cream cause it was sorta a lot. Luckily, my friend was there to help me out and used the whipped cream for her coffee. Haha. We were in the back room so it was great being able to chat and hear my friend. I sausage gravy biscuit with over easy eggs. Pretty decent portion, def had leftovers. Service was fast and staff were super friendly. A pretty cute and decent diner. read more
What a cute brunch space located in Henrico. The menu is pretty simple with the food is absolutely delicious! Major shout out to Abby who was hiring our waitress. We came on a Thursday and then all the mimosas are $2.95... Which is an every Thursday deal. Additionally I got the hot honey fried chicken and biscuit meal which was a 10 out of 10 and the cinnamon pancakes were also amazing. The avocado toast with the croissant dish was extremely filling, but the star of the show were the salted caramel espresso martinis. What a great gem in Henrico! The restaurant is also the perfect atmosphere for the meal. read more

The bottom line for me was that I was very disappointed in my visit to Brunches. Like some other restaurants of this caliber, they don't accept reservations. That policy can make it difficult if you have a large or even medium size group. When we arrived the host told us we'd have about a 20-minute wait. We noticed an empty table for six, which happened to be the number in our party. We asked why we couldn't sit at that table, and the host said, "because I said you can't sit there." Wow! This guy definitely has a future in customer relations. He took our phone number and said he would text us when our table was ready. 20 minutes later, no text so we asked what our table status was. He told us that he had texted us and didn't get a reply. We were standing less than 5 feet from him and he could have more easily spoke directly with us. We showed him that the text hadn't come thru and he said "well I've already given your table away. I'll put you back on the list." We waited another 10 minutes debating amongst ourselves whether to stay or just leave when finally he came over and said our table was ready. Once we were seated our server came over immediately to take our order. She was very friendly and helpful and she alone is the reason I'm giving Brunches 3 stars rather than 2. Unfortunately the meal was a bit below my expectations. The eggs were not hot and slightly overcooked for my order. (If there's one thing that needs to be served hot, it's a fried egg!) However I will say that the breakfast potatoes were excellent with lots of onions and peppers. Delicious! And the mimosas were very enjoyable and had generous proportions. But all in all, I don't see myself going back there. read more

I've dined here several times and the food is always prepared hot, fresh and flavorful. Although there is usually a wait, they seat you pretty quickly. The staff is generally pleasant and attentive. Depending on the timing of dining I have experienced a long delay in receiving our meals - like 45 - 50 mins for 4 people. However, the staff has offered a snack due to the extended wait times. Never accepted but nice to offer. Always love the vibe and decor of the restaurant. read more

This was my first time at Brunches. I came around 10:30 on a Saturday. They seem to have a good happy hour and I like how they have a calendar with all of the daily deals. I ordered the eggs Benedict that had the veggies, and I added ham. It was decent. However, I wouldn't add the peppers and onions to the home fries again. We also got the mimosa flight which was fine. My fiancé got a two egg breakfast plate with pancakes. He didn't care for the pancakes much. The restaurant was clean and nice looking. While everyone was very nice, we definitely noticed that we had been there for a long time. Service was definitely on the slower side. read more
Slightly disappointed for a place called "Brunches". Breakfast was average to say the least... Bacon was cooked hard & server let us know all the bacon cooked today was hard, now i'm wondering if they cooked it in bulk & reheated it. Pancake was also overcooked - even the young kids noticed. Potatoes lacked flavor, & could taste the oil it was fried in. Server was not that great as she seemed to be in a rush to get to the next table every time passing by. The best part was the holiday flight..if you like chocolate, you will enjoy the Flight. read more

I LOVE this place! I went on a Tuesday and had the BEST experience! The menu has many options so it was hard to make a decision. I got the mimosa flight and the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and was a nice serving. The waffle was fluffy and had a great flavor. It reminded me of a mild cinnamon vanilla, but not too overpowering. I enjoyed every bite! The mimosa flight was on point! Each glass had the right amount. My favorites were the peach and pineapple. I cannot wait to visit again. My sister got an omelette and it looked really good! It looked fluffy and soft. It's filled with different meats and cheese with a side of (well seasoned) potatoes. read more
Food: I've been here a few times now and I've never been blown away by the food, but it's always good. The breakfast potatoes are well seasoned. The chicken biscuits are great, but the biscuits are usually a little dry. Drinks: This is what sets this place apart. They've got the most unique drinks in short pump. From Mimosa towers to cocktail flights to adult caprisuns, it's just so fun. The drinks are a little overpriced, but great quality. Service: A very young staff seems like mainly high schoolers but all friendly enough and attentive. Ambiance: so freaking cute. They've got some great backdrops and a really modern bar. I visited the new Brunches located in the Henrico area of Richmond. The restaurant is nice and spacious, cool decor and an infamous grass wall if you know what I mean lol. I love their tagline, "Mimosas Made Me Do It!" The menu has lots to choose from including all of the brunch classics. I had the steak and eggs, home fries, a side grits and a waffle. I know that's a lot but I had to try all the things for y'all! The home fries were the star of my plate. The grits were good too. I can't wait to go back with friends for the mimosa tower. This is definitely a spot worth adding to your RVA brunch list. And the plus is you can get brunch every day of the week! Go check it y'all! read more

Came to this spot with my sisters looking for brunch food. It was a little gem inside of a shopping center. We were greeted and seated immediately. The inside was pretty standard but featured a big brunch sign that was cool. I ordered a mimosas and Crab Benedict, averagely priced for a brunch spot. The food was decent, no complaints but it didn't blow my mind. We left feeling full, which is what we came for. read more

We went here on a Saturday for a late brunch and it was pretty packed! They don't do reservations so I would say you should go prepared to wait. Around 1pm the crowd appeared to die down but understand that the restaurant closes at 3pm so you can't show up too late in the afternoon. The inside of the restaurant is small and actually the max group size they accommodate is 12. There are also a couple of four person tables outside. We had a few of the drinks, a regular mimosas a specialty mimosa flight and the espresso drink, none of those disappointed, but were also not so unique that I would write home about them. Among the group we tried the chicken biscuit, a basic platter, and Nutella French toast. Overall the food was meh. The chicken came with minimal sausage gravy so and it was tough catching the waitress to even attempt to request more, a few of our pancakes were burnt and my cinnamon roll version wasn't really that good. They gave a variety of sides but most people at the table chose home fries. They charge extra for the peppers and onions in the home fries which in my experience is usually part of standard recipe, but even so these were underseasoned. So overall, I'd say this place is worth checking out. read more
