As an example, they currently have several seasonal lobster dishes. I chose the Organic Bison Huevos Rancheros. Everyone wanted a bite, and everyone agreed it was delicious. It was tender ground bison, topped with a soft fried egg, feta, guacamole, black beans and more. It was so good. I would go back just for that, but there were more good things on the menu to try as well. All the staff were friendly, and our server did an excellent job. A party of two ate well and was satisfied with the amount and quality of our meals. The first meal was steak and eggs. Without prompting I heard how well seasoned the flatiron steak was. The other meal was calf's liver with mushrooms and onions. Two large pieces of bacon was across the dish. It was very good served with a full orders of corn, potatoes and gravy, and veggies. I switched the mixed vegetables for spinach and garlic. Good choice. The spinach was fresh and sauteed with onions. Didn't care for the gravy on potatoes. Can't tell whether the off flavor was the gravy or the potatoes. My surprise was the appetizer. I chose turkey chilli that was so good. It was full body flavor with cooked beans and chopped veggies, which didn't take away from the chilli flavor. It was very good. I could have this for my main meal. So good. My fiance and I came here while visiting family in town. The only reason we came by was because it was right by our hotel, we weren't familiar with the restaurant because we live in NC. It also just looked really cool and we had to check it out. Walking inside is truly like stepping back into time and everything is so clean. Every table has it's own mini jukebox which is pretty fun! IDK if it actually works, we never heard the songs we picked lol. But it was still just cool to play with and talk about while perusing the menu and talking. They have a pretty large menu too, so that made it harder to pick. They had all the old classics along with some newer items and diet friendly items. I ordered a strawberry shake and it was sooooo thick and so good! I love that they give you the extra milkshake in a separate container. I ate all of it, it was really such a great milkshake lol. While in the Henrico area for business meetings a small group of us met here to have breakfast while meeting to discuss our upcoming meeting. We got there around 9:20AM on a weekday, before it got busy, because while we were there, it started to fill up. Dawn was our server and she was great! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She did a great job taking care of us too!! The menu is the typical Silve Diner menu, loaded with tasty brunch items, as well as a nice selection of healthy options too... all made from fresh, local ingredients. They are open late (until midnight and 1:00 a.m.!) which is great. Our server, Tatyana, was very sweet and efficient. I ordered the corned beef hash (crispy) and green tea. The tea was also organic. I expected just plain green tea, but it was ginger lemon --- one of my favorites. The hash was great, and the accompanying eggs and potatoes were also nicely prepared. And I loved the biscuit, too. My sister had the pot pie, which was more like a pot pie soup with a biscuit on the bottom and covered with two pieces of crust. I also indulged in "the world's smallest sundae" which wasn't that small; it was one scoop of ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate sauce (I don't think it was hot fudge) and walnuts. It was perfect. They also have a full bar, for those who are interested. Could be a challenging wait for those in a wheelchair because there are mostly booths and only a few tables in the back. Thankfully, my dad is mobile enough to move into a booth from his chair. We ordered coffee and juice to start, and I was pleasantly surprised that their coffee was quite good. For food we ordered the quinoa and coconut pancakes for the whole table to share, the Burrata shakshuka for me, country fried steak and eggs for my dad, jack cheddar cheese omelette with bacon for my mom and a corned beef hash with eggs for my sister. It's clearly not an older place but they strive for an old timey vibe: good hospitality, there are jukeboxes loaded with classic tunes at every table, the booths feel retro and yet the whole place is sparkly clean and well maintained. The bison huevos rancheros really popped for me, it was a great combination of salty and greasy but also fresh layers to the dish. Wonderfully cooked chips along the side, and they tasted homemade. The burger was also very nice. Big portions, no weird surprises in terms of recipes. The servers have mobile kiosks for payment at the end. Haven't been here in a very long time, but dropped in for lunch and had a really good experience. Our server was awesome, she was just the right amount of friendly and attentive. She spoke to us in a genuine way and wasn't the cheesy type to just tell you anything to get you to order. I ended us having sustainable shrimp ( not sure why it is called that) but it was good, covered in old bay and it came with dries and a salad. The salad was okay, not exciting but I ate every bit of it to ensure I had something green. The fries were good until I got to 5e bottom, those ones were too salty but the star of the plate was the shrimp, they were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The food options were great! As someone recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I struggle to find good options that I'm excited about when eating out. While the place has great old diner atmosphere and good staff, the food was pathetic. My hash browns were supposed to have caramelized onions in them, not a one. My toast was barely even toasted and not warm by the time it reached me. Our coffee was never topped up. Fresh, upscale food (including serious vegan options) with decent prices given the high quality. And they have seasonal options. Our waiter, James, was friendly, informative, and efficient. Only one significant criticism: Brussels spouts were undercooked, which was surprising and disappointing given that they're highlighted on the seasonal menu. In terms of personal preference, chicken pot pie was tasty but sweet instead of savory (I'd easily order a savory version if offered in the future). Parking access for disabled customers seemed a bit far from the front, but perhaps I missed other spots due to unfamiliarity. Definitely looking forward to our next visit. read more
