    Crabcake sandwich and potato salad
    Aleshia A.

Overall not the best experience. We had a large party so I feel for them having one waiter serve 10 people but it does not excuse the service we had. No refills on drinks, super rude waitress, no menu explanations , no answers on if certain sides have an upcharge or anything simple like that, two people ordered the exact same thing and got two different sized sandwiches. The food is under seasoned and underwhelming. The positives are the potato salad and ribeye are not that bad. Side house salad is a nice large size and chicken tenders are basically chicken breast so you definitely get your moneys worth there. The crab cake had potential but again under seasoned. The cheese fries were just meh not bad but not great either. They do give you a ton of fries so again you'll get your money's worth. I personally won't return but I think based on other reviews there's a chance your experience could be better

Delicious!!! I actually throughly enjoyed Brick House Diner. This was my first visit and will definitely not be my last. I ordered the Pancake Combo- the pancakes are huge and melt in your mouth. My love for sausage runs deep and these are pretty good. This place gets busy but they move pretty quick to get you in and out. Oh, the chicken n waffles- tasty

This is a regular spot for most of our staff at work. You can usually always get a seat despite the packed parking lot. The food is sometimes consistent. Often times the burger cook temps do not reflect the requests. However, that wasn't the case this visit as I had the Tuna Melt. It was pretty good. Although, I ordered onion rings and got fries instead. The food wait this particular visit was extremely long for whatever reason so I didn't have the energy to call out the error. Sure we'll be back

This is a chill, casual diner, where Kitchen 64 used to be. The "sunroom" is loud as ever! We asked to switch tables and sit in the main dining hall which was several decibels lower! The hostess said the levels of loudness were the same, but she was way off! Our table in the main galley part of the restaurant was much quieter and more comfortable! My friend had the crab cake sandwich and potato salad, which she said was pretty good for frozen patties and she only found two tiny shells. I had the southwestern chicken salad which was humongous - so much lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon, onion, and loads of chicken tenders! I took more than 1/2 of it home! It could've fed a family of four! It was fresh and delish! Our server Kiyaun, was super pleasant, friendly, and efficient! I'd ask to sit in his section again! The prices were average and in general, this is an average, good little place to grab a bite!

Overall Experience, 4.5/5: It gives off a sightly modern diner vibe. Would definitely come back just for the food alone. Food/Drink, 4.5/5: We ordered the chicken and waffles, cinnamon swirl pancakes, and egg whites. The chicken and waffles were seasoned and cooked perfectly--the batter was flavorful, and the chicken stayed juicy. The pancakes were huge and tasted amazing, with just the right amount of sweetness. Even the egg whites were well-cooked, not runny or wet. Pricing, 4.6/5: Considering the portion sizes and taste, the price was pretty reasonable. We spent around $50 for the two of us including tip. Service, 4.7/5: He was quite attentive, though he initially got my coffee order wrong. However, he checked in on us multiple times, which was appreciated. Aesthetic/Atmosphere, 3.5/5: The atmosphere was laid-back, and it felt like a spot where locals would drop in. The space is divided into two sections: a bar area and a cozy brunch section.

glad i found this spot. the prices are the most affordable for any diner I've been to in Richmond. I love the variety of food something for everyone and the have something for most diet preferences. the restaurant is small so get there early on a busy day or you will be waiting.

So last weekend we went back hoping for brunch but was advised brunch is Sunday's only so we stayed and ordered lunch. Bellybuster was good as well as the club. The wrap was just ok (2.5/5 the cheese was weird and the wrap had definitely sat for a while as the lettuce and tomatoes were hot/wilted). The onion rings were nice and hot (4/5). Our waitress was super nice and the vibe was low key as it was close to closing. I will definitely go back for their breakfast offerings, top tier!

I visited the new Brick House Diner on the Boulevard twice within their first week of opening as I was pretty excited after checking out their menu. I've never been to the original in Midlo. For my first visit, they were seating diners in sections and there was some confusion at the host stand for which server's turn it was. They ended up seating us at the table directly next to the bathrooms when many other tables were open. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to make it harder for them, but going forward, I'll certainly pass on that particular table. Our server (Stephanie, I think) was very friendly. We ordered the loaded chips with a side of ranch to start. They were good overall, just a bit greasy, as to be expected I suppose with the bacon. For my meal, I ordered the cheesesteak with fries and a side of mayo. They use Hellmans here, fyi. My cheesesteak was okay. It was overcooked and chewy, but the flavor otherwise was good. Fries were tasty. My mom had the biscuits and gravy, and she really liked them. My second visit was with a friend a few days later. We were seated at the table near the door in the front room, so every time someone opened it, a draft hit our legs. She asked for a different table, so they put us at another table a few back that was still cold but way more tolerable than the first. We watched as two other parties asked to move from that table too. I will say I think a double door or a curtain would help a bunch with that. We ordered some drinks to start (Sunday Funday). I had the lemon berry mimosa and the peach bellini. I tried my friend's blueberry vodka cocktail and that was tasty too. For my meal, I ordered the pancake combo and added strawberry topping to the pancakes. They did forget to add the topping, but the server realized it as I started to mention it and whisked the plate away. She returned super fast! (I wish I got her name, she was great.) The combo came with eggs and bacon plus home fries. The eggs were pretty good, the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the potatoes were okay but I did taste a tinge of pepper in them. The pancakes were definitely the star for me. Sooooo fluffy and the strawberry topping elevated them even more! I would go back just for those pancakes. They were huge too. I saw a guy at another table order the cinnamon swirl pancakes and I MUST try them asap. They have some kinks to work out, which makes sense being that they are new. I think they'll find their groove soon enough. I'll definitely return to try more of their menu! Always glad to have another diner around.

2/26/23 11:30am Sunday Brick house on the Blvd. I've been going to Brickhouse Diner on Midlothian for about 8-10 years. I would drive 30 minutes and then have to wait... just for breakfast. A lot like chic fil a in the sense that if there's a wait, no worries the food is worth it. So.... To no surprise when I found there was a Brickhouse at the Blvd. omg, 10 minutes from my house!!! I know where I'm going to be often. I have ordered various menu items over the years everything has always been exceptional! My favorite is the crab eggs Benedict omitting the spinach and tomato's. My other fav is the blueberry pancakes. Customer service has always been great no matter who it was. Today I ordered the crab eggs Benedict and a order of pancakes to take home for lunch tomorrow. Whoooo! Superb! My compliments to the chef! Check em out! They get 10 stars from me. Thanks for coming to the other side of town Brickhouse!

Brick House Diner was a very laid back restaurant. Extremely nice servers and we were served immediately. The food took a little minute to come out, but it was very understandable considering the large portions they brought out to us. The pancakes were double the size it is at IHop, lol and they tasted amazing. The eggs were regular. Bacon was very crisp and delicious and the potatoes were pretty soft but good as well.

I had a really good experience at this diner. My daugther and I visited there today for breakfast and the food was really good. The service was excellent and the food was served on time.

A party of two ate well and was satisfied with the amount and quality of our meals. The first meal was steak and eggs. Without prompting I heard how well seasoned the flatiron steak was. The other meal was calf's liver with mushrooms and onions. Two large pieces of bacon was across the dish. It was very good served with a full orders of corn, potatoes and gravy, and veggies. I switched the mixed vegetables for spinach and garlic. Good choice. The spinach was fresh and sauteed with onions. Didn't care for the gravy on potatoes. Can't tell whether the off flavor was the gravy or the potatoes. My surprise was the appetizer. I chose turkey chilli that was so good. It was full body flavor with cooked beans and chopped veggies, which didn't take away from the chilli flavor. It was very good. I could have this for my main meal. So good. The server was adequate, but nothing exceptional.

The oldies music playing in the background just pulls it all together. What stood out most was the intention behind everything. The menu offers fresh, healthier options without sacrificing comfort, and you can tell the chef and owner genuinely take pride in what they're creating. There's something different when food is made with care--you don't just taste it, you feel it. That kind of energy is rare now. Since COVID, it's been harder to find places that still honor the experience of preparing food for others in a meaningful way. This place brought me right back to memories of going to Patsy's Diner in New Jersey with my grandmother--simple, warm, and full of heart. Top notch all around. We'll absolutely be back anytime we're passing through. Thank you for the good food, good energy, and genuine hospitality.

Only street parking is available, but it wasn't too difficult to find a spot. The atmosphere: Very rustic vibe with some farmhouse-style decor. They have table, high-top, bar, and patio seating available. The food: I opted for the Chicken and Waffles with a side of cheese grits. I chose to make it hot for more spice. It's served with one whole waffle, two large pieces of fried chicken, and syrup on the side. The chicken was not seasoned as much as I hoped and wasn't as spicy as I expected, which was a bummer. The cheese grits were alright as well, but not as flavorful as I hoped. My partner ordered the Double Barrel Bowl, and he really enjoyed it.
