The worker had just answered his cell phone, and it sounded like he had received a call from an old friend he hadn't heard from in years. That's cool. So we waited. A Lowe's employee could be heard mentioning to the Dominic's employee, "You've got customers." So he learned over, saw us, and said "We're closed" and continued his phone conversation. For future reference, my friend asked "What time do normally close?" To which the employee responded shortly, "Now", resuming the phone conversation immediately. We were... taken aback. We naturally asked, "Well, what time is that?" The employee gave a look of annoyance, looked at his watch, and waved us off. Don't go to this location. There are too many other great choices in the area that have respectful employees behind the counter. Seriously, fuck this guy.

We mentioned the issues, we were told 'sorry, we're slammed'. It was a theme that night. I'd have been more charitable with the excuse if they had said, Sorry we're slammed and we'll drop 25 percent off your tab, but that wasn't forthcoming. I believe the restaurant will endure, it's been a special spot for a long time, and has garnered a few good reviews on Yelp recently. But it won't be on my list to visit any time soon on my next trips to Richmond (and that makes me sad).
