    A store that sells BBQ.

I can't actually give a review for this place, more of a PSA... We saw on Facebook in my neighborhood that a new BBQ place had opened. There was an article written about how this is apparently the fourth generation of this family having a BBQ place around here. Finding it very difficult to find any info on this place, we planned a lunch date for me and my friends to grab some bbq. We walked in and thought we were in the wrong place since we actually appeared to be in a sporting goods store. There is a giant smoker parked in the reserved handicapped parking out front, under which there is a storage bin with congealed grease frozen in it. Not the best first impression, but we waked in anyway. Apparently, there is just a guy who stands at a small table and has a tin foil wrapped slab of meat in it. We were super confused, a little unsure about purchasing meat that doesn't have any sort of health code standards, and would have had to still take it home and make sides anyway. It was so weird to go looking for what is called Allman's BBQ and find a clothing store with a man selling cuts of meat out of tin foil. We left and went to an actual bbq restaurant. Just know if you are looking for what shows up as a restaurant on google and Yelp, this is not the place unless we really missed something.

Nice folks and good food. Worth the effort to find this place tucked off of the main road. Brisket and pork here are both tasty and, thankfully, not overcooked and dry. Good smoke ring on the brisket. You can see the smoker outside with a nice wood pile. Enjoyed my sides of green beans and coleslaw, but look forward to trying the onion rings next time. Great neighborhood place.

Fun decor and a framed article about the history of the family restaurant give some charm and whimsy.

Stopped in for lunch with my wife, great service and the BBQ was outstanding, along with the cole slaw. We will be regulars here for sure!

The BBQ is great and the brisket sandwich is the best I've ever had, juicy and tender.

I needed some pastries for a teacher appreciation thing at my kids school so we decided to go with her homemade pop tarts. Although I love everything I have ever tasted that she makes, her pop tarts are super unique. And they are DELICIOUS. I've now tried strawberry, blueberry, and chocolate and they are all phenomenal. We were able to schedule an order to pickup about a week later, and she is so nice about being willing to make an assortment of flavors, and even packaging her new "pecan pie" ones separately, just in case anyone has an allergy. Love it! Little things like that go a long way in my book as far as service goes. The shop is small, but very cute. I love how woodsy and earthy everything looks. Her cake stands are round slices of wood and she has cute earthy decor all around. She was super busy, preparing for the pecan festival the day we were in, so the cases were empty but she was happy to tell us all about the things she had available in the back still. I'll definitely be back to order more.
