Another perfectly nice brunch at Shorty's (see previous review). I realized I'm such a creature of habit and order the same breakfast when I come here, but they always get my eggs just right. Service was prompt, love the 50's feel and music. My friend got the club which looked yummy and I sneaked one of her cheesy fries with bacon bits and they were ok, a tad soggy but flavorful. They had some nice outdoor seating which was inviting on this spring day in the 70's!

Always an amazing breakfast!! A true diner feel tucked into a shopping complex near willow lawn. The service is quick, staff is friendly and the food is solid!

Soggy muffin, hash browns that weren't hashed etc

Asked the waitress if the eggs Benedict was good, she replied, a lot of people order it..!! That doesn't mean it's good, just means a lot of people have made a mistake. The muffin was soggy, taste was sub par and the hash browns were barely warmed much less browned. The milk was lukewarm! Maybe try something else but for this meal I would pass....

I love a good ol' fashion diner. The atmosphere is what you would expect, loud conversations, everybody rushing from point A to point B, the owner walking around talking to regulars, the aroma of delicious coming from all over. It's a welcoming chaos. A friend had recommended this place. He has been coming here every week and we decided to stop by after Cars and Coffee. Man in my mind I knew what I was craving going in but when I stepped inside, all the delicious smells made me second guess myself. Thankfully I was able to eat a little bit of everything....and let me tell you -- damn was that good.

Sunday December 3 1:24 pm Came here for breakfast and ended up ordering lunch once I saw they had a Ruben sandwich. The hostess seated me almost immediately. The waitress was nice and took my order quick as well. Definitely a diner type atmosphere, family environment. There was a decent crowd when I came in, almost all the tables were full. The menu says the french fries are hand cut, usually I can tell, but I couldn't but regardless they are good. The Ruben is also very good! I didn't visit the bathroom, but I'm pleased with the experience. I'll definitely return for another Reuben and to try breakfast.

My review is based on just one item, so it's not a judgment of all the food. I ordered a strawberry cheesecake pancake. It was tasty, but heavy. If you like your pancakes light and fluffy, these are not for you. It had the consistency of heavy wet plaster, yet was tasty. I only ordered one pancake and could not finish it. Coffee was a bit weak.

This was a surprise find! We originally were going to get something at Einstein's but when we went in there was no indoor seating... So no patronage from me. We walked down the mall to Shortys and boy I am glad! It was so good! The service was good and the food was really good. I had an egg and bacon burito and my wife had a breakfast sandwich and a chocolate chip pancake! Definitely a good breakfast stop! Large menu, plenty of parking, reasonable prices and friendly staff. That is a hard combination to find these days!!

Pleasant staff. At best mediocre food. Rock hard dry biscuit. Underwhelming hash browns. Never got my drink refilled.

Waitresses are friendly, menu is large and the portions generous for those weekend mornings when you've got a big appetite. Memorable place.

Europa Food Market is the kind of place where the shelves are…read moreloaded with enough product to feel like a real store -- food from around the world, pristine and organized -- but not so much that you feel like you're navigating a Sam's Club. It's curated without being precious. I came for lunch and got a pastrami sandwich that I'm still thinking about. Thick like a textbook, moist, flavorful. I don't think I've ever actually had real pastrami until that sandwich. My only real critique is the location. It sits along Broad Street near Willow Lawn and it's one of those places you drive past a dozen times without ever stopping. Slightly hard to access, easy to overlook. That's a shame because this isn't a casual grab-and-go -- it's a destination, even if the vibe is completely unpretentious. A friend suggested it and it made my day. The Greek radio station playing nothing but 80s and 90s covers of songs I grew up with didn't hurt either. Next time I'm not trying to make just one meal of it.

It was surprisingly easy to find out that Europa offers them. The ajvar here has a slight kick. According to the store they put it on their bagels and people love it too. I don't prefer spicy food but it was tolerable. Europa is a no nonsense kind of place. If they have the stuff I need, it's perfect for me.

You can tell they take pride and they care about the customer experience The quality of products was outstanding I specifically went in hunting real French butter and so of course I stocked up and yes we left with an entire basket full of other things as well. I ordered a burger while I perused the sections. The marinated large white beans in vinaigrette had me searching the recipe so I could try to make them myself until I can get back to the store! They also have a nice wine section, gourmet cheeses and meats....charcuterie board, please!

The florets stayed crispy, the whipped feta, chilies, and pomegranate made an unexpectedly pleasant combo. The Reuben was well executed. The bread retained its sturdiness instead of the normal sponge like qualities you might find with other Reubens around town. The meat was melt in your mouth tender and every bite contained components of the sandwich, rather than the usual wrestling match of sliced meat in your mouth. The service was meh. It's counter service with sit down restaurant prices. Here's the funny thing: you are given a number for food to be delivered to your table. The waitress puts the food down on your table and directs you to a rolling cart where plates, napkins, etc. are BUT the waitress has to pass the rolling cart to bring you your food. Could we have not received appetizer plates and silverware when we checked out and were handed our drinks? I don't think anyone can get excited about Jason's Deli type service at lunch at Lemaire prices. If I had to choose a good time to suggest going to Susie's, go to Happy Hour on a sunny day and sit out on the patio

I come to taste 3-4 times out the the week!…read more Today at 05:30pm Thursday Apr 9 I had a bad experience with a lady named Melissa. I was told I couldn't get my shake with blueberries when I usually swap out whey protein because of my extreme dairy allergy For blueberries. She came off very rude! And probably why some of their items are pricier than normal. Their location is pretty popular as well so it makes parking challenging, but they do have a lot in the back that validates. That being said my family and I enjoyed our selections and would definitely go back. My husband ordered the Freemason and appreciated that the chicken salad was not overly dressed with mayonnaise. However, he loves his condiments so he would probably order a side of Italian dressing with his lol. I got the farm stand grain bowl, which I thought was fantastic but the roasted chicken I added to it was disappointing. I think because it was roasted, but then refrigerated it got a gamey chicken aftertaste, which kind of messed with the flavors of the salad. It was the first time I've never finished the protein in a bowl I've ordered, which felt like a big waste of $ but I really loved everything else in the bowl-could use more grapes though . The goat cheese was a perfect compliment with a creamy flavor that was not too sharp or distracting. I'm not a fan of strong goat cheese. My son really enjoyed The Lynnhaven and only commented that it would be nice if the chicken was sliced a little more proportional to the bread and other toppings.
