    The Prohibitionist - Mocktail
    R. M.

Great environment, great staff, the Prohibitionist mocktail was Delicious! ~ ordered the baseball steak which was cooked to perfection and I esp. loved the low sodium rub they use. Carrots perfectly cooked and the pea salad was very good but could have used more cheese and red onion in it, it was mostly peas. Over all 5 stars, I would eat here anytime!

Sorry the company, family, & friends, were the main feature for me. So no food pics, lol

From the Fresh Oysters, to Blanched peppers & Rice, and Shrimp Cigars. it was an amazing start for Appetizers! Then onto the salads and main courses. Lobster & Steak dishes for cooked perfectly, also the Hanger Steaks were perfection, too. Our waiter was great, too. It was my Birthday & the Ambiance was sweet. We were a party of six and opted for the outside table which was quite spectacular! Now going onto pricing it is not inexpensive, but definitely worth it for special occasions.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner while visiting during his FBI Academy graduation. We were promptly seated and provided our drink and food menus. We both tried a drink & martini flight which was amazing! I ordered the steak and lobster with a side of sautéed mushrooms and blue cheese topping. Incredible meal, I was so hungry from traveling all day so I appreciated the quality. They even brought out a small dessert to acknowledge my husbands accomplishment. Nice touch after a wonderful meal!

04.2026 Our first time here and it was a great experience! The servers were very sweet, attentive and helpful in explaining the different dishes. The atmosphere was light and lively...not loud. I would definitely make a reservation for it can be a very long wait. The steaks, the desserts, EVERYTHING we had was sooooooo yum! I highly recommend the truffle fries, truffle mac & cheese, and the any of the steaks.....sooooooo goood!!! The best dessert: the banana pudding!

Located in the beautiful historic downtown area of Fredericksburg this unassuming restaurant may literally have served me with the best steak that I can recall eating. I came here on a weeknight for dinner with a large group. Thankfully, we made a reservation ahead of time to have a special table set up for us. Our server, Megan, was amazingly friendly and professional, and was able to help guide us with our drink and dinner choices. I ended up choosing the fillet for my steak. Your steak comes with two side dishes. I opted for the garlic, mashed potatoes and a side Caesar salad. The steak was provided with a special rub that consisted of salt, pepper, garlic, and dehydrated molasses. I also got a pat of herb infused butter, which they melted with a torch right in front of me when they brought my steak out. They also provided me with a side of their chimichurri sauce. I ended up ordering my fillet medium, and for a steak like that, it was so tender and amazingly flavorful. My mind raced as to if this truly was the best steak I have had in my life. The succeeded every expectation I have for how could a steak could be. And it wasn't just me being hungry coming up with this review everyone else at the table was amazed at how everything was so delicious. Easily better than any steakhouse that I have been to back in my home area of Seattle. My group had a fantastic time and all of the staff here were so amazing and made us feel right at home with their hospitality. I will not hesitate to come back here the next time we are in the area.

I've been to Fahrenheit 132 a handful of times and just realized I never left a review--and that's a crime. You truly can't go wrong choosing Fahrenheit, whether it's for a special occasion or an elevated night out. Just make sure you plan ahead, because a reservation is a must if you want a table. This is an upscale, get-dressed-up, enjoy-an-incredible-meal kind of place. My girlfriends and I have made it a New Year's Eve tradition, booking our reservation a full year in advance, and every year it delivers. Ringing in the new year with great company and outstanding food here is unbeatable. This year, my friend and I shared the three-course meal for two, featuring a tomahawk steak cooked absolutely to perfection. I added a side of bone marrow butter while she chose the sautéed onions--both were fantastic. We ordered Caesar salads, plus an extra appetizer of mussels, which were phenomenal. The broth alone was worth it. I also went with the flight of specialty drinks, which was a great choice. The service is always top-notch, and in my opinion, this is hands down the best steak you'll find anywhere in Fredericksburg. Already counting down to next year's reservation!

What a cool place. Good drinks and good food, plus the service was excellent. We came for a special occasion and the staff was wonderful. Food is good but it's definitely a steak house so don't come expecting pasta. I got a bunch of sides and was very happy as truffle Mac and cheese is my happy place more than the meat. My husband got a small steak and it was great. One thing that shows I'm getting older - why do men wear baseball hats inside a fancy restaurant? I couldn't at least four at one point. For $100 dinner, act like you're not at Arby's.

We went here last weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our server was absolutely amazing! He was extremely attentive and recommended some great drinks. The manager, Jack, was so friendly and responsive to our every need. This was the best service I've ever had in a restaurant!! Our daughter didn't like the Mac and cheese and they spent no time bringing out something else for her, free of charge. I'm coming back here every chance I get!

Scallop entree & dry aged steak

So good! Very fancy and nice inside and the food was amazing. It is very expensive though, so I'd definitely categorize it in the perhaps once a year for special events group. I don't think the increase in price for the dry aged steak is worth it but I'm no steak connoisseur. The scallop dish came with mushroom risotto and was one of the best meals I have ever had. Extensive wine menu. We had a lot of questions for the server re: wine and the food preparation and he was so kind and patient and was also fun to talk to.

My, My, My.... Now Fahrenheit 132 Steakhouse... "count your days," because me and my wife... are COMING BACK!!! Best Filet Mignon of Our Lives -- Easy: Talk about immaculate. Juicy. Tender. That Dry rub with the melted molasses situation was a literal chef's kiss. We'd come back just for that!!! No side or nothing. Just the steak. Oh my goodness. Service. Service was great. Our waitress was super nice and hospitable. She was very attentive and knew that menu like the back of her hand. Color me and my wife, impressed, the way she explained the way the food was prepared and served. We didn't know what to do lol, but we appreciated her knowledge and recommendations. Food. We ordered the Filet Mignon with Potatoes and Vegetable of the Day (Brussels Sprouts) along with the Grass-Fed Hanger Steak with Potatoes and Glazed Carrots. Now that Hanger Steak was pretty good too. And the garlic herb butter that they melted with a mini torch in front of us was next level. But the Filet Mignon took the prize for us that night. (And the award for Most Memorable' goes to... ) Although I did enjoy the glazed carrots and potatoes as well. We did order the Truffle Mac n Cheese but had to send it back because -- unfortunately -- it wasn't "hitting on nothing." But it's all good. The steak was the star of the show. My wife said her sides could've been better. Ambiance. Not bad. Kinda quaint in there. They definitely maximized all the space and it feels like a Texas steakhouse with some farm decor and bricks. Not bad though. Not at all. All that to say: WE. WILL. BE. COMING. BACK! thank you!!!!

Oh my--what a meal! My partner made this reservation weeks in advance since they were fully booked on Friday, so we came on a Thursday. The interior is beautiful and upscale. We were seated in a booth that was a bit snug for three people, but we made it work. I started with the Peruvian Sol cocktail--tropical, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. We shared the escargot to start, which was fabulous--the sauce it came in was rich and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the shrimp and purple grits, which ended up being my favorite meal of our entire trip to Fredericksburg. My partner's NY strip was perfectly cooked to a medium rare and packed with flavor, and my uncle enjoyed his salmon as well. We were too full for dessert, but this place is a must-visit. Our server was fantastic and had great recommendations. I'd absolutely prioritize coming back here!

We were only two times before tonight too. The first time was fantastic! The second time we were underwhelmed, so we also never returned. But my son wanted it for his birthday. Unfortunately tonight wasn't the greatest either. It wasn't completely terrible, but it just kinda left us feeling disappointed. My son and his girlfriend got the three course dinner for $140. They each got their choice of soup or salad (He got the Caesar salad, and his girlfriend got the French Onion soup), they split a tomahawk with the bone marrow butter ($3), they each got two sides (he got mashed potatoes and the cream kale, and she got the cream kale and mushrooms), and then a dessert to split (they went with the peanut butter pie). Fahrenheit is known for their steaks, and my son orders steaks everywhere, and is an expert on the steak temperatures. He's 31 years old, and an avid grill chef too. They ordered their steak mid rare, and it was very rare. They didn't complain, but it was very undercooked. They didn't want it thrown back on the grill, because he said that he'd rather have it undercooked than overcooked. Otherwise, I think they enjoyed the rest of their dinner. His girlfriend likes rare, so she enjoyed it. My husband and I ordered the surf and turf (to split) with the flank steak and the bone marrow butter ($3) and the lobster tail ($6 up charge for the lobster tail). It came with mashed potatoes, and then we paid a small up charge for the French onion soup as our second side ($3). We also ordered the apple spice empanadas for dessert. We ordered our steak medium well, and it came out rare. We did have them throw it back on the grill, and upon return, it was medium to medium well. But it was also very small. The lobster tail was overcooked and like rubber. I didn't complain; just ate it. The mashed potatoes weren't great. The French onion soup was fantastic as always, but the last couple of times that we were there I ordered it, because I love it so much, and it was encased in cheese. Tonight it just had a little square on top, but otherwise, it was still amazing! The apple spice empanadas were also excellent! Our total was $70.12 before tip. We all had water to drink. I could literally just go for the French Onion soup and any dessert, and feel happy!

Absolutely everything here is perfect. It has a terrific vibe, lively but you can hear your friends talk. The service is so good, friendly but extremely professional. And the food - omg - is outstanding. I love that they pay as much attention to the sides as they do the main entree. I had the oysters (so fresh and perfect), the chopped salad (a meal on its own), and the most amazingly tender and juicy pork chop I have ever had. Lastly, the wine and drink list is spectacular- no wonder the bar is always busy. This place is a must do!!!!!!

Fries were not greasy which is perfect!

Midweek could you take a casually dressed college student here for their 18th birthday? It is during orientation week during a pocket of time that isn't busy. I doubt he will have time to dress up and have dinner.

For sure, you will see some dressed casually and more formally.

Are they able to make the mashed potatoes without rosemary?

The staff is very accommodating, I'm sure if you asked for a substitute they would help.

What is the dress code? Weekend away and night out with the husband, don't want to be over dressed.…

I'd say casual and up. No jeans or t's.

    Good music and drink place?

Probably not the bar is nice and you can watch a game on TV but there doesn't look like music would work

I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. Next time, I'll be ordering food with my wine and lingering much longer! Thanks for a great end to my week. See y'all soon! Cheers!

We were seated promptly, no awkward hovering, and our waitress showed up friendly, sharp, and knowing her way around the menu--which is a quality that ought to be listed right next to "clean silverware." We started with the crab and corn chowder, and let me say this right now: the crab was not there for decoration. It announced itself. Big flavor, no apologies, the way crab chowder ought to be. Second round was the smoked salmon salad. Perfect. The salmon was excellent, but that tarragon caper dressing had a way of making you slow down and think about life choices. I would put that dressing on just about anything that didn't move fast enough. For the main event, I chose the scallops, and I am prepared to testify they were as good as any I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, sitting pretty with an aioli that knew its job and did it well. My wife ordered the beef medallions, and I'll admit this with humility: looking back, I may have chosen wrong. Those medallions were expertly prepared and packed with flavor, the kind that makes you reconsider your own plate. We finished with cheesecake and berries. The cheesecake did its part. The berries... well, not every inning is a home run. Fortunately, the wine stepped in like a good relief pitcher and made everything right again. Through it all, the service never slipped. We were treated the way folks ought to be treated when they go out to celebrate something that matters. And that, in my book, counts just as much as what's on the plate. Our waitress passed our table four times without stopping to provide an update on our food or apologize for the extensive wait time. We were finally able to get her attention and politely asked about the status of our order. Without an apology or acknowledgment of our experience, she responded that she would tell the chefs to "rush" our order. We never asked for our food to be rushed -- we simply wanted an update because we had already been waiting far longer than expected. When our food was eventually brought out by another staff member, it was cold after nearly two hours of waiting. At that point, my husband asked to speak with the manager because not only was the wait time unacceptable, but the food was also cold. The manager eventually came to our table, apologized for the delay, and offered to discount the meal. My husband thanked him for the apology, but by that point, we decided the experience was not worth salvaging. We told the manager we did not want the cold food or watered-down drinks. Not only was our Mother's Day celebration ruined, but the lack of accountability from the staff and the poor customer service made the entire experience extremely disappointing.
