So our first time here and we love it!!!! Our usual spot is a bit far from home but this place definitely is excellent!!!!! The food was delicious, we had the duck wings, smash burger and the braised pork belly. All were delicious but special shout out to the braised pork belly as we didn't think it would compare to Korean pork belly we have eaten before. The atmosphere was great, it is very chill. The music very much matched the vibe! So the best part of all the service, Yami did an awesome job. Kept our glasses full and every drink was delicious! We will frequent this place more often.

Love the decor and ambiance! When it was Casey's that was my biggest gripe, it looked like a Dennys, but the food was much fancier. The only issue i had when I went in, was that the coffee tables are a bit lower to the ground than was comfortable. My friend and I came during restaurant Week, apparently during happy hour! We ordered duck fries off the happy hour menu, but then also crispy beef, cucumber salad, biang biang shrimp, and duck wings. Everything was phenomenal! The cucumber salad was too spicy for me but it was a risk I took, even tho I could see all the flakes of red spicy all over it. Our server was very nice and he even tried to do the math to see which way to ring in or order to make the price in our favor. We told him not to worry about it, it's fine. We actually never got the duck fries, but at least it was the HH price and not full price. Oh! Then we got the red velvet cinnamon roll for dessert... I will say, I didn't love it. I love red velvet everything, but did not love that. The icing didn't taste like cream cheese although it was super light and fluffy... it was warm in some areas and just cold in others... idk, I just think it could be better executed in a couple different ways. Typically i might take a star away for not getting an item ordered and not loving the dessert, but i didn't mention any of it, so there was no option for the establishment to do anything about it even if they wanted to.

Absolutely AMAZING!! Service, drinks and food best in the Burg!! It's a VIBE of its own and EVERYONE is so inviting!

Fredericksburg was a one-night stop on our honeymoon, and we got so lucky to spend it at Cheeky's! The lack of reviews, more remote location, and dark exterior did initially have me wondering if I'd unwittingly steered us towards a strip club, but that was not the case! Inside, there are quirky lights and booth/couch seating in addition to the bar. We went at 9ish on a Sunday night, and it was relatively busy; by the time we left at 10:30, it was just us at the bar and one guy reading a book in the corner. The bartender was simultaneously super laid back and helpful. He even offered my husband an off-the-menu Gold Rush and topped it with bee pollen! All the drinks we tried were unexpected and delicious. Food was also spectacular, and the chef came out to deliver it himself and talked us through the ingredients--Clearly an expert and very kind! We had the truffle fries, crispy beef, and the Thai salad. We are already planning an anniversary trip back to Cheeky's!

Cheeky's has a great happy hour, great drinks and great people!

The place was recommended to me, and man was it an awesome experience! Had Steven as a mixologist and he did his thing!! His hospitality and positive energy and his expertise of the different liquors, plus the decor of the bar with the music was a great Friday night vibe. Got there after the kitchen closed, so I didn't get to try any of the food items. As for the drinks, top tier coming from a bar. I tried The Karen, it was a little sweet but good and strong. The Old Fashion was smoked and stupendous. The Espresso Martini was nicely dressed and presented. I highly recommend this place and will return next time I'm in Fredericksburg.

Cheekys Cocktails for dinner last night. Stephen the bartender had amazing food and drink recommendations, great spot to try out if you find yourself in Fredericksburg! Great atmosphere, awesome people, delicious food, and the perfect cocktail experience!

    Great place for Happy hour!

We met some friends here for happy hour and we had an awesome experience. The happy hour expresso martini's and old fashioned were great, I also recommend the scallops, rice and Brussel sprouts. Great drinks, food and friendly staff. It's great to have a comfortable cocktail lounge in the area. We will be back!

This is Fredericksburg truly first and ONLY true craft cocktail bar! The other joints are not the same... they sell cocktails and much of their staff aren't as talented as the guys here. This place makes their own fresh juices, mixes, bitters, etc to concoct some excellent cocktails! The venue is romantic and dimly lit with fun music playing. They have cool velvet seats, small tables and booths in addition to their bar seating. The cocktail list is presented in sections, each representing a style, including tiki. The staff is knowledgeable in cocktails and the prices are decent. They have wine as well. Definitely suggest stopping in, it's worth the visit!

This creation tasted like Christmas in a cup and was just boozy enough mmmmm yummy

Free street parking nearby was easy to find. If you have a private event, you go to the back of the restaurant at the right and down some stairs. The private event room felt very bachelor den-like in a good way. There were leather seats surrounding the room and a tiny bar with a bartender to make us drinks. We were able to order whatever drink we wanted on the menu. For food, they brought trays out buffet style. We tried a variety of things. The star of the show was the Brussels sprouts. They were cooked to perfection and had a great sweet sauce. I enjoyed the salad too. They also brought out wings, mini burgers, mini fried chicken sandwiches, and tuna. Some were overcooked, but the flavor was nice. The seating was a bit awkward for a group our size in the private room, but we made it work. It was nice how casual it was.

Today's venue of choice was a place called Rivers End, which sounds like either a cocktail bar or a warning label, depending on how your day's going. It starts off a little funny because you have to figure out the right door, then march yourself up the stairs like you're reporting for duty. Once you get up there, though, it feels like the kind of cool old place that's seen some things. You can almost feel the years rolling by, from Caribbean rum days to whiskey nights to the modern era of "smart cocktails," where they put things like herbs and intentions in your drink. The vibe was right. Cocktails were great--strong enough to matter, smooth enough not to apologize for. The food was excellent across the board, the kind that makes you stop talking for a minute so you can do some serious fork work. Most important, our waiter Shane was dead on the mark: there when you needed him, gone when you didn't, and never once tried to explain the menu like we'd just landed from Ohio for the first time. I can't find a single thing to complain about, which for me is almost a complaint in itself. Good value, good food, and a good scene--about all you can ask from an afternoon you're not spending at work. Next visit will be brunch, and I hope it's soon. Oh, and I did have the tostadas, but I got so excited by the smell I forgot to take a picture. Lewis would've understood. Some things are meant to be eaten, not photographed

I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. Next time, I'll be ordering food with my wine and lingering much longer! Thanks for a great end to my week. See y'all soon! Cheers!

Tried to order three different beers, and every one of them was "not available today," which is restaurant talk for "the truck's late and so are we." Artie the bartender just gave this little shoulder shrug that said, "Partner, I don't make the rules, I just open the bottles." The place itself helped the afternoon along. The building is laid out so you can see just about everything from your stool: bar, tables, who's coming in the door, and whether your food is on its way. Sightlines were wide open, nothing cluttered or cramped, and the whole joint looked super clean, like somebody actually cares what it looks like before the crowd shows up. So we did what any sensible, thirsty people would do: picked two other beers, ordered some apps, and decided not to take life--or the tap list--too seriously. The beer we got was cold, the food was hot, and Artie turned out to be the kind of bartender you come back to see more than you come back for the menu. We'll be back, too. Lewis would've gotten a whole column out of that shrug. The food was excellent, too. The fish bites alone just about made the afternoon; if the beer list had completely fallen apart, we still would've called it a win on those.

For dinner on our first night, we opted to give Brocks Riverside Grill a try and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Mckewen, was super friendly and helpful with both ordering selections when both of us have Shellfish allergies and later pairing our entrees with wines. For starters, we ordered drinks. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I ordered a Spicy Margarita. We shared an appetizer of Crispy Brussel Sprouts and bread rolls that came with a delicious oil and garlic dipping sauce. The main dining area was sparsely attended by other dinner patrons, with large windows to one side overlooking the river. For entrees, my wife selected the Roasted Beet Poke Bowl which she described as "light and refreshing" and I ordered the 16-oz Marinated Ribeye, cooked to Medium along with sides of mixed Seasonal Vegetables (sliced Zucchini & Squash) and Redskins Mashed potatoes with an order of mushrooms to go on top of the steak. I also ordered a nice glass of Merlot wine to go with it. The portions were generous, and the entrees perfectly prepared, and very tasty. If there was any fault at all, it was that the ribeye was a little too laden with a ring of fat rather than simply marbled, but otherwise no complaints. For dessert, I ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie and my wife ordered Crème Brûlée. Both were appealing to the eye and each bite beckoned us to take another bite. It is certainly someplace we would go to again.
