While in Fredericksburg Brocks seemed like the place to try so had to give it a try! They have a huge indoor seating area as well as a bar but we opted for the outdoor patio on the back porch! We had to wait about 15minutes but it was worth it for the views!! You can see the river flowing perfectly and it really felt amazing on a fall weather day. They had a bunch of high tops to ensure you can see the views perfectly. The service was great and all the staff were very friendly too. They have a very large menu with a ton of options but I opted for the fried chicken sandwich with fries. It was really good, tasted nice and crispy and the fries were cooked to perfection. I would definitely come back when I'm Fredericksburg again!

That is suppose to be asparagus... Went and picked up 3 orders to go. I have dined in many times as well for brunch and dinner over the years. Service has plummeted at Brock's and the food has taken a turn south as well. It is a shame as this place has been an excellent choice for a nice place to go have a meal for years. When a restaurant charges the prices Brock's charges, there is an expectation of great service, food, and a nice "we appreciate your patronage" attitude that is no longer a part of the Brock's experience. Brock's management, please do better.

I want to shout out Brock's Riverside Grill, Fredericksburg, VA regarding my wedding they hosted on July 25, 2026. My intimate gathering of 40 family and friends received outstanding and attentive service. Not a hiccup was evident during our vows, cocktail hour, dinner and of course dancing. The staff at Brocks creatively and artistically bought my vision to life in how they decorated the River Room with what I provided for my linens, flowers, and table wear in my colors of Chartreuse and Navy. The food from appetizers to the main course absolutely no complaints. Carley took excellent care of us during the planning. The staff serving myself, my husband and our guests was very responsive to our needs ensuring a smooth wedding reception experience. The MC duties performed by DJ Jay Cole were chef's kiss. The River Room with its views of the Rappahannock river and the historic Fredericksburg Railroad bridge were an excellent backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Do not hesitate to reserve Brocks Riverside Grill for your wedding, or any other event where the location, food, and attentive staff are a priority to you. Go Brock's!!!

Place isn't ADA compliant. The two stalls in the women's bathroom are the same width. Don't come here if you use a mobility aide.

We've been here a few times but it's been for the late night scene. We realized we've been missing out on their dinner service! We sat in Jordy's section and he was phenomenal. The Brussels were delicious. Our only critique is they were large and could be cut smaller for easier consumption. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich and loved the addition of the havarti. The Old Town salad is my favorite salad in town - it's filling and fresh. And to top off the meal the sweet potato fries with the sweet aioli. We didn't save room for dessert but the visual menu of a presented tray of desserts had us wanting to next time!

We arrived at Brock's and only waited minutes before getting our table for six. Service was outstanding! We all had drinks and split two wonderful appetizers. I had the crap stuffed shrimp and it was the best ever. My husband had salmon and said he wanted to lick the plate because it was so good. There was not a single complaint from the whole table. While we were eating we got a visit from the owner, Jason. It was such a nice touch. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We had a small group of 19 to celebrate my father's surprise 83rd birthday. This year was special because last year my father was rush to the hospital for an emergency heart surgery. He had bought cowboy boots, a hat and a vest but wasn't able to wear them until this year. So we made the theme Western and he loved it. They have limited parking but manageable. They also have street and garage parking too. As you walked, you are greeted with a warm smile and guided to your seat. The full bar is on your left and multiple entrance to dining areas. They also offer outside seating looking over the Rappahannock River and bridge. We ordered shareable appetizers such as calamari, mussels, southwestern egg rolls and brussel sprouts. We each ordered a variety of dishes such as 1) Scallops with risotto 2) Fried goat cheese salad 3) Crispy pork shank 4) Dry age ribeye 5) Mini crab cakes 6) Truffle bacon burger 7) Bottles of wine 8) Variety of cocktail drinks. All food dishes order were on point and delicious. The highlights were the brussel sprouts, southwestern egg rolls, dry age ribeye, truffle bacon burger, and crispy pork shank. We had impeccable service by our server Mike. He was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely make a return visit to try other items on their menu.

This is another Fredericksburg gem! The atmosphere was amazing with breathtaking riverside views, courteous service, and tasty food! We enjoyed our meals so much that dessert was not an option this time but will definitely be a goal for our next visit because the dessert tray looked amazing!

Awesome 14oz Ribeye@ Brocks Riverside Grill!

Brocks Riverside has A LOT of layers to it. Sitting smack on the water, it's similar to a "Mullet", party in the front business in the back..LOL!! So, the front is set up like a tavern/ sports bar, the rear is fine dining and to the rear right is the covered outdoor bar area where you have live music, DJ spinning old and new hits, firepits, hookah and yes, it's cigar friendly which caught me by surprise first visit but damn sure not the second..LOL! First time out, the formal dining room was the scene where awesome food was served. The 12oz Ribeye and the crab stuffed shrimp were both delicious, however, the shrimp were on the smaller side so they may want to find these shrimps parents for future meals.. Lol! The bacon wrapped scallops were an amazing appetizer. The margarita definitely needed a re-do, but the friendly server had NO problem exchanging it for a fantastic mojito. After dinner, it was time to kick it on the cool patio where there are two additional bars and like I said in my opening paragraph, all the other festivities are happening. The cool bartender didn't hesitate when I asked for a Sidecar. Even though he had never made one, he looked up the ingredients and nailed it first time out!! I was still full from dinner but when I smelled the buffalo wings and saw how plump they were, I had to get a to-go order. Yes, they were as good as they smelled..LOL!! My second visit, a formal meal was skipped and headed straight to the rear action! The drinks and service were awesome once again and after one stogie it was time to leave. St. Patrick's Day weekend was here and that place got super packed super fast...Exit stage right but I will DEFINITELY be back!!!

I was hesitant to book here after reading recent reviews but decided to try it out. The River Room was very beautiful with a great view of the river and bridge. Our server Jenna was friendly and did a good job. The food was very good as well. A couple of bumps in the road included forgotten dressings for the steak and sides and a long wait for one cocktail, which didn't come out until after we had gotten the check. Otherwise, it's a decent place to get a good meal, if you don't mind waiting.

Very laid-back setting, unpretentious, and great food! The menu isn't huge, but everything that we tried was delicious.

We had our family Christmas eve dinner here and everything was really great. It was a little crowded, but we had reservations and was seated right away. The had a very kind waitress who really was attentive with us and very friendly. Forban appetizer we had the crab and spinach dip with pita, and it was amazing, tasted great. For an entrée I had the crispy pork shank with butternut squash and asparagus. The shank a little to crispy on the outside, but the porkwas very flavorful and juicy. The butternut squash and asparagus was really good. My wife and grown kids really enjoyed their meals as well. The atmosphere in he restaurant was very good also and the pricing wasn't too bad either.

For such a small restaurant... there are a lot of seats and looks to be able to even host a large party of 15-20 on a long bench. The Gus burger was hearty, beef patty was thick and delicious... the fries are interesting... like a hybrid between a fry and potato chip. The onion rings are large and seem to have a funnel cake coating! Crispy and well fried. The French toast is thick and fluffy and the bread density is amazing! My daughter also enjoyed the bagel and cream cheese... The BLT is filled with beautiful pieces of ham and turkey... it's so hearty! Service: The first impression was a little mixed. The hostess wasn't very welcoming when we asked about a booth for our family of five (two adults and three younger kids) and didn't seem open to exploring the option. Thankfully, our server, DeQuandre (Deq?), completely turned that around. He was friendly, attentive, and offered great recommendations. We appreciated his visits as he was energetic and very hospitable, highly recommend asking for him when you visit. Food: We started with the buffalo dip. It comes with chips, but Deq was awesome and add some pita, which was a great call. The pita was slightly crisped (almost lightly fried) but still soft inside and paired perfectly with the dip, which had great flavor and good chunks of chicken. For burgers, we ordered the Spicy Wrangler (March 2026 Burger of the Month) and the Whiskey Burger. The Wrangler had a lot going on but the flavors worked well together. The Whiskey Burger was delicious, the sauce was a bit sweeter than I usually prefer, but the bacon was excellent. Only critique would be the burgers were slightly underdone even for medium, but still enjoyable. The onion rings were a standout, though the breading-to-onion ratio leaned a little heavy. The fries were decent but nothing particularly great about them. Atmosphere: Casual and open, but fairly loud. Even though it wasn't very busy for a Sunday lunch, the music and bar noise made it a little difficult at times to hear others at our table. I wouldn't consider this a date night type atmosphere, more casual open dining. Drinks: Solid beer selection with enough variety for most tastes, plus a small cocktail menu and a selection of wines. Overall: Harry's Downtown is a solid spot for a casual lunch or dinner. If you're in the mood for a good burger, or consider yourself a bit of a burger enthusiast, it's definitely worth checking out. This visit was positive enough to plan another visit to explore other delicious sounding menu items. We'll definitely be requesting Deq when we return! Thank you!
