    Bourbon burger
    Julie S.

First time in Downtown Fredericksburg and wanted to try out Harry's after hearing good things about this restaurant. On a Saturday evening; this place was lively. Crowded but not overly. We didn't have to wait long for a table. The place is decorated with dog pictures... you can't help but swoon at each and every one. I am happy to learn Harry's Downtown donates a portion of their sales to the local animal shelter. Onto the food review portion! I ordered the blackened mahi-mahi entree, and my friend had the bourbon burger. My dish was pretty underwhelming tbh. The fish was very bland and slightly too overcooked for my liking. I was also not a fan of the sides. Everything tasted bland and overcooked. The margherita flatbread on the other hand was fresh, delicious and the highlight of my meal.

After another restaurant across the street had a wait time of 45 minutes (at 5:30pm), we gave Harry's a try. The food and ambiance at Harry's has never disappointed, so why not? We were immediately seated and our waitress came by a few minutes after. After asking for a drink menu, she mentioned they were out of a few beers because they're in the process of switching to new ones with spring here. Drinks took a little long to come out but not a big deal. For an appetizer we had the Reuben Egg Rolls (2 cut in half to make 4 pieces), which were served with a side of thousand island. They were excellent and the kitchen didn't skimp on the corned beef. Harry's burgers have never disappointed, so for my main I decided to order the Apple Bacon Bleu Burger. Rather than having it on a bun I asked to have it served over a salad (it's an option they offer for a $4 up charge). The salad was very good and filling. This is the way to go if you want a burger but want to keep it healthy (this option does not come with a side of fries; it's just the burger salad). My husband had the Charleston Chicken sandwich, which was a massive fried chicken breast. While it looked great, he said it was underwhelming because the chicken was too big and tough. Had the chicken breast been smaller, it likely would've been juicy. His sandwich came with a side and he opted for coleslaw, which was very good (just the perfect amount of sweet). Overall, if nearby restaurant have a long wait, give Harry's a try. Staff is friendly, there's outdoor seating and food is always good.

    Chicken Tostado Salad

A cute location on the stretch of Williams Street in Fredericksburg, Harry's Downtown was a very comfortable lunch spot. We came with a slightly larger group and were seated almost immediately which made it much easier to get right into our real priority, eating! The onion rings are large, cooked very well, and breaded with extra flavor baked in. The chicken tostado salad was fantastic, the tostado adding both flavor and texture to a well dressing-ed plate. And the burger of the week was very creative! A pickle aioli topped burger with pickle chips and fried pickles, the flavor was surprisingly more like a normal burger than expected. Still very well done and fun to boot.

Actually not a bad place but they definitely have some areas they can improve on. I had the shrimp tacos. They were actually pretty good. But I ordered the garlic butter broccoli as a side which is a $5 charge because it's considered a premium side. Now considering broccoli isn't considered premium anywhere in the world, this has to be some epic broccoli. Well it wasn't and the portion was disappointing too considering the price point. You know how much broccoli I can get for $5. Anyway, didn't taste much like garlic butter. Also my kid had the flatbread with fruit. Looked like canned fruit. The chicken focaccia meal my wife had was actually spot on. Service was pretty decent and the dog themed thing I just didn't get. Well it wasn't bad just not something I would try again personally. But always willing to try out something new.

Burger was legit. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars because I don't hand them out all Willy-nilly. But if you like burgers definitely check them out. Not sure about the other items. The burgers are 7 oz and the kitchen cooked it perfectly. Additionally the service was excellent and friendly. Keep doing what you're doing.

We had an excellent dining experience at Harry's Downtown. The food was delicious, especially the crab dip, which was our favorite. The atmosphere was also enjoyable, feeling like a vacation oasis on the patio with warm weather and music. We ordered: Crab Dip Penne Alfredo Roasted Beet Salad Carnitas Tacos Pear and Walnut Flatbread

We were seated right away on their patio, which was very cozy with heaters and fire pits. The menu sounded great and they had a lot of featured brunch items that were a little fancier. I went with the sausage, egg, and cheese on English muffin with a side of cheesy grits. Our food came out pretty quickly, but one of the sandwiches was wrong, which they fixed right away. The sandwich was basic but tasty, and adding hot sauce made it even better. I loved the cheesy grits - they were more coarse than other grits I've had but I still really liked them. I had a few bites of Nate's sandwich, the New Jersey sunrise (Taylor ham, home fries, two fried eggs and American cheese), which was very hearty and tasty. Service was decent, they were pretty busy so we did have to ask for a few things, but we had a nice time. I'm putting this spot on my list of places to revisit when we're back in the area.

The tater tot bowl was good and had chunks of sliced Chorizo. I did wish it had more Chorizo and I think the ground Chorizo might be better with the dish but overall good. My friends enjoyed their meal as well and they do also have cocktails.

They did a phenomenal job creating such a magical atmosphere--I honestly wish they could keep the decorations up all year . While waiting for our table, we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered cocktails. I had the prickly pear margarita, and she ordered a cider sour. Both were fantastic, though I wish the bar had mentioned the holiday cocktail menu earlier. I didn't learn about the festive drinks until we were seated and our server, Lindsay, walked us through the winter specials. The "Sweater Weather" cocktail sounded amazing (white tequila and coconut milk ) and is definitely something I'll be back to try. We stuck with our go-to appetizer, the goat cheese bruschetta, which was delicious as always. For entrées, we went classic brunch: the hangover burger and the shrimp and grits. My girlfriend loved her burger, and Sedona's shrimp and grits remain one of my absolute favorites--perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even though we were full, we couldn't pass up the seasonal dessert, tiramisu. It was the perfect size--just enough to share without pushing us over the edge. Lol. Another successful meal at Sedona! The service is consistently top-notch, and our server Lindsay was hands down the best--knowledgeable, attentive, and with an amazing personality. We loved her so much, we wished she could've joined us for brunch. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which we really appreciated. First, let's start off with the wait. I'm used to waiting for a table at Sedona especially on a Saturday, but today the wait was extra long. Once we sat and ordered appetizers it took over 40 minutes to get our apps. To make matters worse our nachos came out with the cheese not even melted and with barely any protein. Seeing as this was not the first time I ordered nachos I was extremely upset. To address the issue I had to leave my outside table and walk inside to the hostess to see if they could locate my server as she never came and checked on us. We didn't see her for over 50 minutes :-/ The only star of today's lunch were the Thai glazed wings. My husband ordered the land and sea and steak was overcooked. My devils pass pasta was okay, but extremely greasy. The manager did stop by to offer something for the nacho issue which we appreciated. Sedona you need to work on hiring more staff to make things run smoothly. You seem to be understaffed in the kitchen and on the floor. We left feeling extremely disappointed and will not be returning for a long time. Also forgot to add that the strawberry tres leches cake is extremely dense and flavorless. Did not enjoy and do not recommend.

The London Fog Sour might honestly be one of my favorite cocktails I've had downtown--I loved it so much I ordered a second one. I'll be going back just for that drink.
